I'm surprised you used an impact on that lil beotch bolt my guy. It's a torque and yield to like 160 degrees torque spec. Also the same size as my pinky fingure...the chances of breaking it doing that are very high. Also I'm an HD tech not a backyard wrench holder
Could you please double-check that torque setting at 4:02? I have a manual here that says the torque for the rear "wheel hub-to-wheel bearing housing bolt" on a front-wheel drive mk6 is 180Nm + 90°......It's from the 2013 edition of the VW Golf, GTI and Golf R Quick Reference Specification Book. Could you have gotten it mixed up with the Golf R which is AWD?

A lot of people I've come across on the internet actually say it's 180Nm + 180°, which is insane because I just changed the rear bearings on mine and I was barely able to get the 90° much less 180° . With all the different VW models out there it's hard to know for sure. But, my manual also clearly says that the torque for an All-wheel drive mk6 (so, the Golf R) is 70Nm + 90° which is what this video says. But the car in this video is a regular GTI which is front-wheel drive.
if you mean for the inside, no, it comes pre-lubricated, on a side note, I would put some grease on the steel rod so it won't seize or rust, the part he touches at the @3:27 mark

Correct for non ribbed bolt, ribbed is 70Nm + 90. Never seen a ribbed version on rear though.

We do not suggest reusing old hardware that is torque to yield
