    Looks like a pretty relaxing spot. Really enjoyed my trip last week in the Loveland area while there for the art show. Got to see outstanding scenery, wildlife galore, and the inspiration to do it all again very soon. Thanks for keeping us all inspired with your videos until we can get back out there for our next adventures.

      Was very relaxing. Wish I could have stayed another day, but had stuff to do. Glad you enjoyed your Loveland trip, hope it wasn't too hot.

    Thanks for being back. I’m in Colorado Springs and am always on the hunt for good camping spots. Today I was in the San Isabel National Forest. Highly recommend. Beautiful rig too. I just love my old 4Runner. Thanks again.

      Thank you for taking the time to comment Lenny. I think I camped in the San Isabel before, but not totally sure. So many great places in Colorado. Gotta love 4Runners, although I don't know about the new one.

      Thanks Darren. Yes, would not be able to camp at that place too often.

      95 degrees here in Denver today (aug 17) so not that cool here either unless you hit the really high elevations

      @@mossybank2000 Luckily, this was at high elevation. It has even been hot here at home at 9000ft.

    I sleep better in my 4 Runner than I do at home or in a hotel. I have a similar setup as you. 😅

      @@TheGrumpyGobbler OK, got it now. My 4Runner has the rear seat delete and the full 72 inch cargo bed platform which allows for 84 inches of sleeping area with the front seats moved forward very similar to your set up. I much prefer the security, insulation, quietness better fuel economy and stealth capabilities of the interior camper system. With mine I can even sit in my beach chair inside the 4Runner in bad weather. Obviously, I am in agreement with you and enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing! 😁👍🔥

    I see you decided to keep your 4Runner, I think this is wise choice until Toyota fixes all the issues on the new platform. I will be heading to Overland Expo Mountain West are you planning to go?

    • @TheGrumpyGobbler
      @TheGrumpyGobbler  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, decided to keep it. Glad I didn't jump on the new platform, what a mess!
      Probably not going to Mountain West, too many temptations to buy more stuff. I may change my mind last minute.

    What are you using for the case for the ignition fire pit?

    • @TheGrumpyGobbler
      @TheGrumpyGobbler  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I actually bought a LavaBox before the FireCan, and I use the case from the LavaBox...it works perfectly.

      @@TheGrumpyGobbler thanks. Good to know. I have tried a 5.11 range bag but it is a tad too small. I enjoy your videos. I am Colorado based but restricted from off road activities this year due to spinal surgery so I will live vicariously through your trips this year.

    Always enjoy your videos. In your videos, I have noticed that you keep your single burner stove close to your truck while cooking. Doesn’t the food and the grease splatter on your truck? Thank you.

    • @TheGrumpyGobbler
      @TheGrumpyGobbler  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does splatter. After the last time of cleaning it, I keep it away from the truck if I'm cooking something really greasy. This only applies to my single stove, the Camp Chef stove does a good job of blocking the splatter.
