I'm so happy to be back with a new mountain adventure 🎣🐻👀 Had to spend some time focusing on friends, family, and working on the farm to start some MAJOR projects!!! 😏 This summer will be FULL of Catch & Cooks and some crazy updates around the Mountain Fishing Farm (pond, FISH FARM.....cough cough... 🤫) I missed you guys though as always when I take some time off and am glad to be back!! 🔥 QUESTION: Besides Trout, what should we farm together??? 😜

The bugs that make tubes with stones for protection are called caddis flies and they make good trout bait as you found out, anyways great video, the wait for your content is always worth it

What beautiful mountain peaks. It reminds me of my excursion to the Alaskan wilderness with my wife on our 50th wedding anniversary. I was near death in 2023, but survived, so our 60th anniversary on July 19,2024 will be celebrated at our very small hometown in New York. You gave me an adventure to share with you. Thank you. I m from Bosnia, those yellow grums were only thing I used for fishing, and by the fall time they get wings and I think they turn into the bulletlure or some sort of ruster tail … love your videos

Yes! Caddis! We call those periwinkles. THEE most effective bait! Pinch the smaller, hind end off of the tube and expose the rump of the larva. Hook it and it pulls right out of the casing. What a great video Lief!
What a treat -- over an hour long. My favorite moment was when you first opened the tent in the morning and were greeted by that gorgeous view. And I had to chuckle at your boots with holes in the sidewall. I bet you could afford a new pair. :D
