    just bought this helmet new, reasonably cheap (its not the new reg model, its the old rapide), and i will just add for anyone here: i find the helmet very good, and it is much quieter than i expected. I was thinking to give up some noise comfort in order to get the cool colors of this helmet (quantic has no great designs), but ended up not compromising anything. My glasses fit great, and it is quieter than my old shoei GT-Air. I suspect it has to do with the great fit on my particular head. So very happy customer here. I don't care about visor changes (i never change), and i don't care about sunvisor either. I never use communication. So my use-case is pretty basic.

      All good points. I don't use it anymore in fact I gave it away. Love the looks of it but couldn't get on with it on long journeys. I now have a Profile V which suits me far better.

    Pushing the visor lever up from fully closed puts the visor into a "mist" intermediate position. In the mist position you may pull out and up on the small ridge on the visor itself to open it.

      Yes the crack open works reasonably and overall it's easier now. Still not a great system though, other brands much better.

    Spot on review, I just chamfered the slot on the inside and it comes free easier to lift up .

      Unfortunately Arai just don't fit me anymore. This one despite being the same size as previous Arai I've owned just doesn't fit as well.

    That visor catch has got to be faulty, cant imagine that would be easy to live with if it's supposed to be like that.

      It's just a bit of poor design Miles

    For me the vent above the brow is a real weak point in a down pore it always leaked and not a fan of the lack of intercom support

      I've never had a leak from the eyebrow vents but I'm not a fan either.

      Yes it's quite good but I'm finding the sizing and fit different to my previous Arai Chaser. This is tighter (too tight actually) so bear that in mind.

      I haven't done so, but there seems to be cut outs for speakers in the side of the helmet.

    You had Shoei NXR. This Arai was more quiet than Shoei?

    • @blueyondermoto
      @blueyondermoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Piotr, I wouldn't say it was quieter than the Shoei. I think the Shoei NXR is probably a better all round helmet ⛑️

      @@blueyondermoto okay. You said that Arai and Shoei fits you. What is your head shape? My head shape is between intermediate oval and round and Shoei doesn't fit me good because I feel pressure and pain on the temples. Arai is wider in the crown and didn't feel pressure and pain on the temples. My size is medium.

      @@piotr.ber94 I find this model Arai exactly like that, with pressure on the temples. The stockist says the smell is the same as the Chaser I used to own but my experience with it tells me otherwise.

      @@piotr.ber94 I find that usually I can wear either Arai or Shoei without any discomfort. This is the first Arai I've had where on rides of 1 hour or longer it becomes very uncomfortable. I now wear an HJC Rpha70 as my daily ride helmet and it is excellent.

      Hi there, the helmet is OK with glasses but not as good as my AGV AX8 adv helmet. So as a score out of ten? It's a six for glasses wearing.
