This was the moment that I realized we finally, and I mean finally, got a director who understands The Batman as the comic book character. Finally someone adapted him correctly, and it’s just incredible for me as someone who’s always wanted a Batman movie, not a movie that has Batman in the title and is actually more about the villains, but a genuine fully to its core BATMAN movie and we finally fucking got that after this character being apart of pop culture for like 100 years
I did like the setting. Even if I felt it was a bit slow on the build up, mostly because my taste is "woah what the fuck is happening", it was basically year one batman. It was fascinating to watch a super hero that was introduced to me by my grandfather and his origin story as himself, not as bruce or batman but a person who isn't the super genius capable of creating billions of counter measures for every single possible outcome imaginable.

It really isn’t that deep, nor that much. Like yes, I’d say in quite a few ways, this may be overall the most accurate to the general mythos, and then ofc having the no kill rule there fully is appreciated, but it isn’t just leagues ahead of every other version in terms of accuracy. Shit, just within most media, I wouldn’t even call this in the top 50% of accuracy towards his gigantic mythos
Rick has no credibility he likes to stick remote controls up his butt, on the other note they should make the Batman Rated R that would be something. I had low expectations and I ended up loving the movie.

Pattinson's portrayal - the slow brooding movements, the side eye, the staring, the silence, the stoic "irrelevant" comments - is the best portrayal of an introverted and scarred superhero I've seen. Battinson was so good. He should've won for this
This is why I don’t get how ppl glorify bales performance. He often seemed like a normal dude even when he’s just in the cave with Alfred. Just cracking jokes being lighthearted. That’s not who Batman is. Bale has even said as much that he struggled to show that side of Bruce that is deeply traumatized and closed off bc of it. Pattinson had the most comic accurate portrayal that satisfied real fans desire for a true Batman. Ppl upset abt his year one inexperiences will absolutely love the third movie. I’m sure that’ll be a refined Batman that is in touch with his Bruce Wayne side and is a master tactician

Alfred was having very less screentime but he had a great impact on Batman's life in this movie. I feel Scarecrow would be a perfect villain for an inexperienced Batman. Also The first Batman movie that actually focused on Batman instead of other villains
The next one will allegedly be Mister Freeze but I would love to see Jonathan wearing the big villain hat again. I feel like the Joker kinda tainted Batman's rogue's gallery by being the most popular (certainly not the best if you ask me) which made people want to see him all the time. To the point even Arkham Origins, a game seemingly all about Black Mask, mutated into a story about the Joker. But Arkham Knight proved Scarecrow can carry a story on his own and The Batman showed these people are not only great but they can make a movie without the clown taking center stage, with Nygma and Falcone and all. So even if not in the sequel, I'd be delighted to see the old sackface return. Imagine the kind of demons Pattinson's Batman could be facing in the hands of these writers. (I mean Murphy's Scarecrow was cool but he was never in focus, he was always there but in the background. Imagine this crew making a truly nightmarish story about Batman fighting all of his fears when facing Scarecrow.)
Eh, Batman is a pretty sad individual when u think abt it. He’s so broken. His life’s trauma consumes him. He often doesn’t have meaningful relationships outside of Alfred. He essentially relives his parents death every night in his mission to prevent anyone from feeling that pain he felt. He’s rlly a tragic hero

The reason I love Batman is how real world his origin is, him losing his parents to a Thug on the street when in real life it can happen to anybody and we see n hear about people being murdered n kidnapped on the news everyday n then we resonate with Bruce's character especially with anyone lost a loved one to fate
I think you missed part of the movie. It is alleged his parents may have been murdered by Falcone bc they made an ill decision to enlist his help in covering up a scandal. So the point is that his parents are morally ambiguous and may have played into their own demise by making the wrong choices. Much more interesting interpretation than the classic bad luck thug scenario.

This scene felt like you were watching a movie about characters, people with a troubled past, not about a superhero as the main focus point. That's what makes The Batman so good, it's very much in line with Spider-Man 2 and Logan in that regard, a grounded and human approach to such beloved characters.

I like how this guy, has almost made me forget his movies - Twilight ones. Turned his career around like a champ. Never gave up. Chose his movies very wisely. And that's how he has got this role.
The Nolan Trilogy is still my favourite but this movie is actually a Batman movie... which shows the real Batman who wasn't created as a superhero but "Worlds best detective".
This interaction between Bruce and Alfred absolutely crushed me and I can’t wait to see more their dynamic in the sequel because this entire scene just resonated with me on a deeper level and it’s also extremely cool to see where Bruce ends up at the end of movie by becoming that symbol of hope for the citizens of Gotham while still remaining that looming dark figure who instills fear in the night to Gotham’s criminal underworld
The way they implicitly communicate that Wayne has been pushing people away and that he’s emotionally stunted without saying it is just masterful. And then even in the end they show Batman is still growing emotionally.
This Bruce Wayne/Batman was so humanistic. There were scenes where he revealed how afraid he is, like a human. Even the scene when he flew off of the building and landed horribly. It wasn't perfect...
I never imagined Robert as the Batman in my wildest dreams & when got know that he's gonna play the character,I was like fuck me,we are doomed..i was damn sure that Robert can't do justice to the role..But here we are with one of the best Batman movies played by none other than Robert himself..Majority of the people underestimated him including me.. The fact he locks his emotions because he disregards them but then comes face to face with affection, care, love, fear...it was so wholesome. I have a friend on my football team whose dad died. I didn’t know him before it but I can see how it effects him. He’s angry, reactive, aggressive to people that disagree with him and his family life sucks. The story of Batman is that when his parents died he lost everything he doesn’t care about his money, women or goals. I believe that Bruce Wayne died when his parents died and as he goes through his life as Batman Bruce Wayne is reborn he makes alies the robins become his children he becomes kinder and none of that would ever have happened without Alfred. Pattinson's Batman was one of my favorite portrayals of the character. The rest are just action films showing off how much of a kung fu badass he is, but Batman is more than just a guy scaring criminals. He's one of the best characters ever created in comics, in my opinion

Awesome movie. Rob made batman even more exciting. Even though some would take the movie as boring. I actually have never seen anyone most suited for batman as Rob. World class acting. Superb storyline of the bat of gotham.
