This film will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved the growth of Batman and how he learns to reshape his hopelessness to become a beacon of light for Gotham. To become more than vengeance.
He doesn’t become more than vengeance….he is it. He is Batman. He is the Dark Knight. I really don’t understand people who make up these deeper meanings when it’s laid out right in front of us.
Genuinely one of my favorite films of all time. Definitely my favorite Batman film. While this Batman is 2 years into his journey, you can tell he is still inexperienced. We get to see some of that growth in the film. I also love that the film focused more on the "Sherlock Holmes" aspect of his character. Definitely excited to see whats next in his series.

This song is about something getting in the way of whatever one's goals are. Cobain's obstacles are different from what hinders Bruce, but the song works in the world Reeves is building because Bruce himself stands in the way of the symbol he wants Batman to be.

While the Part II is greenlit, I highly we will get too many movies with Battinson. James Gunn's DCU is about to have its Batman in some years and Battinson may not go past a trilogy.
