Trezor Hardware Wallet Recovery Passphrase Seed Check

- Trezor has a function called “check recovery seed” which is the new name for " Dry Run Recovery" which has been part of the Trezor firmware since version 1.5.1. This functionality used to be available only through the command-line interface but was added into the wallet interface after a lot of requests.

Where do you store your recovery seed? Do you hash it or add a passphrase to it?

Hi May I ask when I setup Trezor t theta hardware wallet I don’t remember it giving me a seed from theta or keystone file, is this only if you setup a software version?

What if you have a passphrase attached?
Why have a photo of the Trezor One in your video when this check is ONLY for the Trezor model T? The Trezor One check is completely different. It doesn't have a touch screen.
Can you or anyone please help/advise? I used the TREZOR option to creat my THETA MAIN wallet. I can see my balances, but when I try to send, my TREZOR shows: 0x0000000000000000? as the address to confirm. I tried opening with 12 word seed and a different THETA address opened with "0" tokens. I was setting up my trezor T and in the process of writing down the words and lost connection I did not put in a pin yet and now it completely locked me out and there is no customer service or email to write them I’ve tried everything do you know of a number or customer service
Wow! Thanks for this info. Good to know! Sorry for that inconvenience. That sucks! I will DEFINITELY take a quick picture when the pass phrases show up, THEN right them down, THEN delete the photos from my phone. Or, I will just make a screenshot video recording of the event.
I hope you get it sorted out. Try to see if they have a TH-cam channel and look for contact info there. Or another social media channel.

If my original Trezor was stolen. I got a new one and recovered my account using the seed passwords. Is the original Trezor still possible to utilize if they have the seed password too?
Yes- I would transfer to another wallet and wipe your new trezor and install a new seed phrase then replace the transferred assets to it. If they have the seed password your funds would be gone as then they wouldn't even have to get the pin. If you only lost the device then they still have to guess the pin
If I lost my trezor or it got broken, can I still recover it without the trezor itself?
yes as long as you have the recovery seed.
Here's what I want to know ... Packaging is easy to repackage and make it look like it's never been opened when it in fact HAS been opened. If one has purchased a Trezor hardware wallet from a 3rd party seller that COULD HAVE been opened, is there a way to reset that hardware wallet so that the passphrase is renewed? Basically, I want to make sure that 3rd part seller has NO CHANCE to steal my coins stored on MY hardware device that I bought from him/her.

number 1 : never buy from a third party seller like amazon !! buy only from trezor official website . They will ship directly ship to u and no one in between and there is absolutely no chance of someone tampering your device .Dont take the risk to save few bucks by purchasing it from amazon or other third party !!!

Yes, if you mean can you hard reset the trezor it is possible. With Trezor T as soon as you plug the cable into the Trezor simply swipe the screen left to right. You should get a pop asking you if you want to completely wipe the Trezor to factory settings. That's what I did when I bought mine from amazon. We're the same.... trust nobody..loool

No, it was perfect. You can slow it down in the settings, or you can stop the start.
I do try to slow down my voice, but it is difficult to keep everyone happy with my tone and speed. But I do appreciate your feedback 👍

lol...i turned up the speed to 1.5 times the speed as i didn't want to watch the whole 4 minutes at real time speed....so i watched it in less than 3 minutes! LOL...in the same way you can adjust your youtube playback speed to 1/2 the speed of "normal"....but then whose normal? Im not....lol just ask my kids!
