NJT: 2024 New Flyer XD60 24002 at the Port Authority Bus Terminal Spiral

Here is a brand new 2024 New Flyer Xcelsior XD60, 24002, entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal, by curving up the spiral ramp to the upper level, as it prepares to take a break inside the terminal, and prepare for its next run to New Jersey.
New Jersey Transit is receiving 60 New Flyer XD60s, 24001-24060, which will be split between Fairview and Meadowlands Garages, in order to expand the fleet, and shift/retire some NABIs. Nearly 40 NJT NABIs are already retired. 24002 was delivered to Ironbound CMF on 4/28/24, and shifted to Fairview on 5/23. It entered service on Route 154 on 5/30.
It was only after I took this video, that I realized that it’d been nearly three years since I’ve been here, and I forgot that I had to be positioned higher up the spiral to get a clear angle lol. However, I did get some good side and backshots (pause) so enjoy!

These have higher roof flares compared to the 2020 units, similar to any CNG XN60

That's nice to know. When the MTA XN60s first came on the scene, I was very impressed with the higher roofline
