You know what I like about your tutorials? That you don’t condescend to us beginners with stick figures or plebeian artifacts and shapes as if we’re incapable of understanding with proper instruction.
For real and to be honest I’m not even a beginner, I’m a art grad but some things I just don’t know how do and it’s so hard to find a good tutorial where the tuber isn’t talking like viewers like they don’t know anything like..Gracious just tell us how to draw the damn flower 😂😂
Great tutorial, you usually don't get this kind of tutorial on youtube, most of them are time lapses drawing and don't bother showing us what the tools they are using, and usually this level of detail explanation can be found in paid course only, so thank you for the tutorial, I could say you are Bob Ross of digital art.
if I enjoyed it..IF I ENJOYED IT?????? I LOVED IT...I cant believe,me a total beginner was able to do this, and only thanks to you.Loved every second of this tuturial and im forever thankful to you.Especially cos you didnt make me buy brushes.
You are the Bob Ross of computer painting! I learned so much from painting along with him. Now I’m learning to conquer my frustration of tablet painting. Thank you so much for your time.
"Absolutely stunning! The way you've captured the beauty of the landscape is mesmerizing. The colors, textures, and attention to detail make this painting come alive. Well done!"
I'm usually not a fan of tutorials, but with yours and the right mindset it's amazing how much I've been able to absorb and incorporate into my skillset. Thanks, look forward to keep supporting you.
I left my painting long time ago. I am into digital art as a beginner and I follow you as my instructor. It’s going amazing with the results. Thank you so much for such an inspiring videos and illustrations.
Just started using Procreate from years of watercolor paintings now to digital, and I am so happy I made this transition. James, you are a truly gifted artist and instructor. I am mesmerized by procreate's tools and you showing me how to use these tools in such a fashion makes my time spent that much more enjoyable.Being as good as you is my benchmark. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for posting these tutorials! I’m new to drawing and the way you explain your process and why you’re using that brush really is helping me absorb the differences. I appreciate you so much for these videos!
I can't express how much I'm loving and learning from just thia one video. I struggle quite a bit with landscapes because it seems so overwhelming, but you break it down into easy steps.
i've had this video on "watch later" for ages. I finally gather some time and motivation and watched it while following. i'm surprised of the amazing result! thanks for this one! you got a new subscriber! excited to follow many of your other tutorials!
stunning as always...... pleaseeeeee consider making a tutorial with japanese houses or japanese street style... I know you make mostly landscapes but I like the way you teach so much.......
Just completed this BEAUTIFUL tutorial. THANK YOU James for this beautiful painting. I will post on Insta and FB and tag you as I always do. Bravo MAESTRO!
I'm loving your woodland paintings James, I've been looking for tutorials and step by step videos that really break down how to draw whimsical environments or landscapes and I think your two videos on woodlands are the best I've seen so far so thank you ❤. Do you ever post your reference photos? Do you use references?😅 Or do you think you could do a video on how you go from idea / reference photo to the final project? I find that, that is one of my biggest challenge being self taught
Glad you like them! I do use references, but in terms of how to approach construction of the image it can’t be easily taught as it’s different to each specific image and it’s mainly about experience. If you follow enough tutorials you will start to predict how I might approach it 😊
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for this tutorial! When you start on a painting, do you have a very detailed picture of what you want to draw in your mind or just a vague idea?
I'm like: you have to do a bit something else then JJAT, then I see this sublime piece: well guess I'm gonna need to stay with you for a while :) you seem to have lately lot of blueish or reddish colour palette tutorials, very happy to see some green one ;)
i'm not entirely sure if you did it and it went over my head but could you please mention specific settings in the beginning? for example having the dynamic brush scaling on or off? thank you for your tutorials, they're beautiful and motivating!
I heard you say suggestions are helpful, the waves, if they curved a little more to the right it would look a little better as it looks like they end just right there in the edge of the tress, or even a few ripples to create the illusion it’s hitting a sharp edge of a bank into a corner
Thank you 🙏 I just do plenty of image research until I find something that inspires me. I don’t just summon them from imagination, I use references as my videos are more about the process than anything else 😊
James! I have an idea but I need some tips. If I wanted to combine this tutorial and the Woodland Sun Rays tutorial, how would I go about that? I want it to all be one scene, if that makes sense. Any tips are greatly appreciated
I’m right here so far and I’ve been following along pretty much step by step……… and I can not believe how good mine looks so far! It’s insane!!! You are beyond talented! Now I also went through your list of other videos tutorials that you’ve done and I wanted to ask you something, but I don’t want you to take it in a bad was….. Do you know someone that makes their videos pretty much the same way as you but to draw/paint different things??? Like people, animals, science fiction things (Warhammer, Star Wars Spider-Man) and stuff like that??? I kinda was to learn how to also do this with people but also add your backgrounds to them!?! For example: If I had Luke Skywalker standing with his back to us looking to the opening and a transparent version of Darth Vader was on the other side looking back at him!?!
Shame you don’t have Discord id share with you my attempts using procreate and only drawing using the time taken in your video.ive done the candle and match flames I’m now on the water droplets
@@JamesJulier-Artist 😂 i understand, just a note, sometimes when you set the brushes to different dimensions and opacity, the video cuts some syllables and it's difficult to understand what you say. For the rest, I really appreciate your drawings and I like to follow your tutorials!

I try talk in terms I’d understand easily but yeah I imagine myself as the audience and pitch there
Yes some people are so condescending. They talk like they're teaching a kindergarten class and then show you how to draw a ✨FLOWER✨ "SO FUN" 😂
For real and to be honest I’m not even a beginner, I’m a art grad but some things I just don’t know how do and it’s so hard to find a good tutorial where the tuber isn’t talking like viewers like they don’t know anything like..Gracious just tell us how to draw the damn flower 😂😂
In two short years I’ve created 132 pieces of art, thanks to James Julier my main motivator! Can’t wait for Sundays !
Thanks so much 🙏 really glad you have had success following along and have enjoyed the process

A lot of tutorials are very hard to follow because they are high speed. You do explain every single stroke in detail. Please continue the great work!

Wonderful as always, could u please draw a butterfly with sparkles around it in a nature type scene 🌝. Would really appreciate it.
Great suggestion!
I love your tutorials. Will this work with the Infinite Painter for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra? Like your downloads and etc.?
Not the downloads but the process mate translate

Which apple pencil do you use? (Shall buy my own)
Can you explain how you choose your color before ? :)
My drawing came out super soft. I don't have too many awesome hard edges. Still fun tho.
Hope you will draw kagaya zodiac art
