I got a 43UN700-B and it is the best monitor ever for eye protection, photoshop, and web development! I am super happy! I want to to buy another one for my husband!
A couple things people don't realize about using large screens for monitors. Games: Immersion is next level when playing games. You can even run custom resolutions and windowed modes. I will never play games on monitors under 40 inches again, at any resolution or refresh rate. Desktop: place things in the center of the screen if the far corners bother you. mount the monitor on the wall behind the desk ideally. Movies: big screens double as a good sized tv so you only need one screen. if you are too close to it sitting at the desk then run a windowed movie. I find it funny that people complain about the size, but then run widescreens or multi-monitors and stacked screens which is even worse. When hdmi 2.1 and 120hz become standard, small monitors should be a thing of the past for general enthusiasts.
A couple years ago I bought a 48 inch (122cm) UHD TV that can do 4:4:4 color to use as my computer monitor. Getting it adapted and configured was a world of trial and error, and there are still annoyances due to its TV heart, but within minutes of getting it working I knew I would never go back. I'm looking at it now. No, it's not "too big". The vast majority of computer monitors are too small.
Hp omen 43 inch 240hz 4k gaming monitor with g-sync freesync 2 with 3d surround sound if they don't want to make a gaming all in one HP 43 inch omen PC. Mmmm.
Hey God Doom, I am currently using an apple thunderbolt display would you say the Quality of the display is truly 4k or super sharp? I'm a graphic designer and crisp text is important
Thanks for the review. I really feel that it is silly when people are using 2-3 monitors commonly to freak out about the size of this. It is a neat product for those of us who like split screen when gaming or browsing but also wanna sit back and watch television or movies later on. It's a bit of a niche device but I think it's one that was really needed.
Agree. I use it and have a Mac and a Win10 system hooked to it, as well as an Apple TV. I can use twin Mac screens, a Win10 screen and still have a corner available to watch a little baseball.
I'm happy I found your channel, bud. Really cool to see some authenticity and spontaneous throughout the video. Most channels reviewing this kind of stuff just feels robotic and scripted that only goes through the specs, color bleeds, sRGB percentages and what not, instead of going through the actual experience of having such monitors. Thank you, great stuff.
Regarding neck movement - most IT/Developers I see have 2 or 3 monitors and organize their screens. They've been moving their necks for years, so I don' t think that's an issue for productivity. For movies/games - where you're better of sitting farther back and visually taking in the 'big picture' - I can see the neck movement not being ideal.
Had a Wasabi Mango 43" since 2015 and will never go back to anything smaller. Run 2 apps side by side most time, other times 4 smaller 21" screens. Will upgrade when curved 43" or larger comes out.
Good to hear. I'm waiting for my 43" Dell UltraSharp to arrive, and I did have that gnawing feeling that maybe it's too big. Thanks for allaying my fears!
Hi, sorry but I do not understand English. Is it possible to give me a quick summary of what is the result? Good choice or not? (web development and photoshop). I hesitate between that, otherwise a TV 49", or maybe 3 screens 1080p ... Thank you!
To me, this Monitor's strong side is infact it's size. 43 inches aren't as big as it might sound to some. Yes, it's big, but still, i realized, this option gives me 4K resolution, while being a size to actually look at. I am using my PC for streaming and recording videos. And since i don't want to look away from the camera in fron of me too much, while taking care of things, two 24 inch displays side by side are simply too big. So the only thing usable to me would be one display on top of the other one. But since that makes me look up anyways, i was asking myself exactly the same thing. "How big is too big?" I changed this question to a healthy "How big is small enough?" - And i ended up with 43 inches for the biggest display possible. Its like two displays at 21.5 inches side by side, with a second row on top. Its big. Big enough to actually use the resolution from where I'm sitting. But it's also small ~ small enough, fit the real estate of 2x2 1080p displays in front of me. And I can use this in 2x2 PBP mode, which is a big strong side, as I can run for example a game full screen mode and still have several desktop apps open and visible, like i would on multiple actual displays. I am quite sure this display will fit my needs and I am seriously thinking about getting it.
I bought a 35" ultrawide 1440p a month ago also keeping my 24" 1080p old monitor as a dual monitor, Really enjoying it but have only just realised a 43" 4k could've been a better choice since I would still get all the spaces for work, but also can have a giant full screen for 4k videos.
I'm thinking of buying one. I had two 27 inch Dell previously, mainly for photography work, do you use it for photography too? I have room to put it but am a little afraid that it is too big for the job.
I've been using a sub $300 43" 4k tv as a monitor, and it works fine. Right now, I'm still using a 3 monitor setup. The 43", a 24" 16:10 in portrait mode, and a 32". I'm wondering if I could go even bigger, say 50". Has anyone tried it?
wondered i u stil got this or if it stil holds up today i was looking at the ergo 34 inch but i have very little knowledge on this stuff even though i watch vids it just makes it worse
If you already get used to that size (let's say 42" or 50") and always looking at it from everyday viewing or use. It will feel smaller and wanted a more bigger screen. At first you get excited to get a 42" because it is your first time owning a big screen but after a year that 42" will get smaller and wanted to get a 50".
I would actually need that display close to me, with the windows scaling at 100% (= not rescaling) as it’s supposed to replace 4 full hd displays for me.
Being in the same situation, would love to know your experience with it regarding text, watching 1080p videos (do they look blurry?) etc? Or any other insights you may have :)
Great video ;) So the screen doesn’t charge AT ALL the 15 “ MacBook Pro or does it charge but slower ? And if your laptop was already at 100% with the 87w charger, when you unplug the charger, the battery stays at 100% with the screen power ?
I’d love to see a comparison of this with a 43-inch 4K television. Those can cost half as much, or less. I’m sure that this is better, but how much better?
Hey man, just a little question is it possibile to remove that logo thing on the lower bazel? I want to put the monitor vertical with 3 part stand...thx
I have an Acer 43 inch 4K screen and I love it! 43 is not too big at all. I use Adobe photoshop and have no problems at all with it. No problems with any programs I run. I have three monitors. 2-32 inch AOC 4k's and 1 43 inch Acer 4k. Running a 1070TI video card and it works perfectly. I love this set up..... YMMV of course.
ThisIsE thanks E! Just last question, about the input lag, is very noticeable? I heard bad things about these 40+ 4K displays in general suffering from it.
LG does not bring this software? would it be possible to make a video explaining how to put a macbook pro in 2/3/4 split screen? Good work and thanks for your attention.
Hello ! Great video, thanks for your work ! Could you tell me if colors you get on this display are the same as on your MacBook ? I’m photographer and most of my work is on Lightroom and Photoshop. What do you think about the colors accuracy ? Do you think we can improve accuracy with a colorchecker ? Thanks !
I worry about ppi for 4k 43 as it's about 102.5ppi and I know at 1080p I can't stand the ppi in the 94ppi spot I liked the ppi of a 32 4k I had and I'm ok with the ppi of the 27 1440p it's just short of 109ppi. I'd like to see a 34 to 38inch option
Hi Iskren, Would you recommend a 43" 4K monitor with a simple stand or a 32" 4K monitor with Height Adjustable Stand with pivot for desktop use? Desk depth is 15-20 inches. Primary use is for coding and also watching movies/shows.
I always wondered about having a big screen vs 2 screen option. Thanks for the video old friend, I am thinking about getting 2 screens for photography. Like always keep up the great work!
Thank you for your introduction to this monitor. I bought this monitor and use it in Windows 10 environment. This is suppose to have 60Hz rating, right? However, after trying a couple cables (both , HDMI v2.0 and v1.4) within Windows the only frequency setting options I get are 29Hz and 30Hz. It is suppose to be up to 60Hz. Why do I get a maximum of only 30Hz? If you have some knowledge you can cue me into, I will surely appreciate the insight. Thank you.
Hi Jerry, I've always used the monitor at 60Hz. Only two of the HDMI ports on the back support 60Hz tho. Make sure you have connected it to the right ports. Cables also matter. If you still have trouble, try connecting a different device that can output 60Hz to make sure it's not your windows machine.
Thanks for that quick response. I was about to place it on sale via Yahoo! Japan auctions but thought best I research further via TH-cam, Amazon purchasers, etc. I'm aware of 1 & 2 being HDMI 1.4 and 3 & 4 (furthest from power plug) being HDMI 2.0. I also recently purchased HDMI cables via Amazon Japan ( goo.gl/pnh588 Sorry Japanese only) which specifically has in the description support for 4K/60Hz. My main and only machine is Intel's Hades Canyon, just released this year which supports (I think) 60Hz for sure. Anyway, I will troubleshoot further. I read one Japanese reviewer stating that it works with the mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort. So I will give that a try. Thanks again.
Hi. I just thought I would follow up and let you know... very stupid of me. Having four HDMI ports, two for 30 Hz and two for 60Hz, I was plugged into 30Hz. Duhhh..... (head slap) Thanks.
I tested one 40" display and it was horrible. The major issue was having to move the neck, really. When moving the eyes is not enough to reach the edges. Having a setup with +8 windows, fast tabing and moving around. The neck "hurts" and the productivity is lowered. If the user is a "power user" amassing a tone of hotkeys to do things fast, having to refocus attention on another window on a big screen, to me was counterproductive. But is just my opinion. I prefer working with 24", considering 27" (no more). For anyone wishing something that big: try to test one for a week first.
It really depends on the distance and the angle. The way I have it hanging on the wall I am absolutely pleased and very productive. I have plenty of distance and suffer no eye fatigue.
I really enjoy this video and your editing is perfect! so at the end, are you still using 43 inch monitor or you returned to 2 27? for my porpuses i would like to use a 43 inch for having multiple app running at the same time like 3dstudio max+render engine photoshop+web browser...you think a nvidia gtx 1080ti is good for planning my use on this monitor? plus: you think the calibration is good for photography editing? thank you
yeah great Video and a to monitor , but bigger can get to big i guess ,actually i was considering buying a 43 Inch monitor from Philips after i saw this beast at a friends house but then i started to do some math , first my desk is not that deep and then there is the PPI count , with 32 Inch ( what i currently own ) it is 137 ppi however a 43 Inch Monitor will end up having "only" . 102 PPI and that is even less than my 2011 Imac which has 109 .. what is your experience do you experience a loss in sharpness ? or do you sit away just far enough ( and if so what is the distance between you and your monitor ) nevertheless an interesting video !
meh! i will choose a dual monitor anyday, not only 2 monitors give more more flexibilty in productivity,it gives you option to go with different monitors like 144hz for gaming and a 4k ips panel for colour accuracy productivity, and another thing that thing will be way too heavy for free adjustable monitor arms anyways
Thank you. I have more distance in my case because the desk is not actually right next to the wall, where the monitor is hanging. So it’s more like 40”-45”. 31” is too short of a distance for that monitor size (my opinion).
I’m thinking of getting this monitor. Instead of getting 3. But I have to admit. Has anyone put 3 together..? After all to make a 3 Display setup. With theses awesome looking monitor’s.. p.s. - You sir have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work..
Now i want to see a monitor with better software. I want an integrated KVM switch (already existing but uncomfortable compared with real KVM). And the ability to have 4x1920x1080 screens shown on one of this monitors which can be connected to 4 computer/output devices, including seemless mouse and keyboard switching when i move the mouse in the range of one displayed output. I found a KVM switch for 4K doing exactly this, but for a price of 1900 Euro.
I don't think there is any monitor that makes both those things work. You need a software like Synergy to move seamlessly between the machines on the screen.
I got a 43UN700-B and it is the best monitor ever for eye protection, photoshop, and web development! I am super happy! I want to to buy another one for my husband!

I'd buy a 55 inch monitor if they made it and it could do split screen. I'd love to have 4x 27inch displays in one frame.

I bought one of these and it is amazing for gaming and work. Gaming is a whole new experience with this. 4K on 43" display....can't beat it.
I found it a total new experience for working
indeed it is a good one for both
Hey God Doom, I am currently using an apple thunderbolt display would you say the Quality of the display is truly 4k or super sharp? I'm a graphic designer and crisp text is important
how is the response time for this monitor for games? I plan on getting the Xbox One X and test the 4k quality
Great to game on if you are used to a tv og 60hz monitor I assume, not the same as a G-sync with 100hz+

Is there a 4K 43" monitor out there that is both good at professional color grading work and excellent at gaming? Been looking with no luck.
Can it charge the 2016 Macbook Pro 13 inch via USB C?
I bought a 35" ultrawide 1440p a month ago also keeping my 24" 1080p old monitor as a dual monitor, Really enjoying it but have only just realised a 43" 4k could've been a better choice since I would still get all the spaces for work, but also can have a giant full screen for 4k videos.
You are correct in your realization 😁
if i connect my wireless monitor/keyboard to the monitor's downstream usb ports, they dont work. any ideas?

Welcome back! Finally a new amazing video! I love the intro 💙

What are the mounting options ? Does it have VESA mounts ?
Yes. You’ll have to go for a tv mount
Hi. I have read that some people had problems with the screen turning black a few times a day. Anyone had this problem?
I'm thinking of buying one. I had two 27 inch Dell previously, mainly for photography work, do you use it for photography too? I have room to put it but am a little afraid that it is too big for the job.
are you able to run this screen from your Mac Book Pro via the usb-c? or needing something different?

Informative and very 'clean'. Great video.
I'm aware this is an old video but, how deep is the desk you used for this monitor? And what desk size would you recommend?
I ended up using it on the wall. Standard tabletops where not deep enough for my eyes.
Great review and thanks for including the mention that the USB-C does not charge a MacBook Pro.

Deep (not OLED) but deep blacks. Sitting next to an LG 5k Apple panel, I can't seem to make a difference. Hopefully this helps Elias.

Not a sign of it.

it is possible to split screen (to 2/3/4) through only one laptop ?
+FELiYCORE only if you can do it on a software level. Otherwise it’s a matter of how many devices you have connected to it.

Great video, this screen is currently on massive sale on Slickdeals!
You should grab it 🙂
You need some serious desk space or a place to put it on a wall. It’s massive 😂
how about to read text on it ? is text clear and crisp ?
It is as crisp as it is expected from a 4K screen. If you put your nose to it tho, you’ll see some pixels 🙂

Hi. I just thought I would follow up and let you know... very stupid of me. Having four HDMI ports, two for 30 Hz and two for 60Hz, I was plugged into 30Hz. Duhhh..... (head slap) Thanks.
Jerry Suppan it's a good thing you didn't sell it 🙂
I tested one 40" display and it was horrible.
I really enjoy this video and your editing is perfect! so at the end, are you still using 43 inch monitor or you returned to 2 27? for my porpuses i would like to use a 43 inch for having multiple app running at the same time like 3dstudio max+render engine photoshop+web browser...you think a nvidia gtx 1080ti is good for planning my use on this monitor? plus: you think the calibration is good for photography editing? thank you
for stock traders this is awesome, also it makes u look professional regardless of what u do
Absolutely 😁
Does the stand move up/down?
+IJ Beats Music not at all. It's too heavy. It just tilts
ThisIsE Okay great. It's a nice monitor though. Too bad i got a 43" LED tv for my setup recently 😭
yeah great Video and a to monitor , but bigger can get to big i guess ,actually i was considering buying a 43 Inch monitor from Philips after i saw this beast at a friends house but then i started to do some math , first my desk is not that deep and then there is the PPI count , with 32 Inch ( what i currently own ) it is 137 ppi however a 43 Inch Monitor will end up having "only" . 102 PPI and that is even less than my 2011 Imac which has 109 .. what is your experience do you experience a loss in sharpness ? or do you sit away just far enough ( and if so what is the distance between you and your monitor ) nevertheless an interesting video !
Is it good enough for a professional video and photo editing
It’s perfect for it. Plenty of real estate, great colors, and the size 🙂
Very well done, thank you. If I come across another video of yours for something I promise to subscribe because your relevant to me then.
meh! i will choose a dual monitor anyday, not only 2 monitors give more more flexibilty in productivity,it gives you option to go with different monitors like 144hz for gaming and a 4k ips panel for colour accuracy productivity, and another thing that thing will be way too heavy for free adjustable monitor arms anyways
May I ask how big the desk you are using?
63”x31” IKEA Bekant top
@@ThisIsE Is the depth (31”) enough in your opinion?
BTW - great review!
Thank you. I have more distance in my case because the desk is not actually right next to the wall, where the monitor is hanging. So it’s more like 40”-45”. 31” is too short of a distance for that monitor size (my opinion).
@@ThisIsE Fine! Thanks for the quick response... 👍
Where did you get your Apple Watch band?
+James Bond it’s a combo between the regular black sports band and product red
went searching for reviews, found tech Ragnar instead. Worth it.
(1.) LG 43UD79-T 43
(2.) LG 43UD79-B
(3.) LG 43UD79
*43inch 4k ips monitor difference.
I have a question. Do you wax your arms and hands? How come they are so smooth?
Flamethrower 🔥 😂
How much is it lg monitor cost
Sync Range ? Hz ?
Just Ordered mine! What Country are you from?

4:22 OMG TOMB RAIDER!!! :D
Yep 😎
Please change your wallpaper. The moire pattern is very distracting.
It has been fixed. Thanks
Did not get a USB-Typ C cable either, but my retailer sent me one as I asked for it.
+Andreas Weinzierl mine was ordered online. I didn't have the chance to do that 🙂
indeed, I ordered it online, too. It is worth a try.
I’m thinking of getting this monitor. Instead of getting 3. But I have to admit. Has anyone put 3 together..? After all to make a 3 Display setup. With theses awesome looking monitor’s.. p.s. - You sir have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work..
Thank you 😊
Now i want to see a monitor with better software.
This one can do that from a display point of view, you can display each input on the screen in a grid configuration
I don't think there is any monitor that makes both those things work. You need a software like Synergy to move seamlessly between the machines on the screen.
Is it wall mountable?
Yes, it is. Check out my desk setup video for that
