Also talk about the features, not the size. We know it's big, like no shit. I want to hear about the split screen and hybrid usage. It's so hard to find good info about this thing besides "LOL ITS BIG!!1" Half the people interested in this thing probably have hooked their TVs up to their PCs before or currently still do.
The problem you had with the corner of the display can be easily solved by turning on the "Underscan" option in your monitor settings (Input tab), however you will loose a few pixel at the corners.
I switched to a 43" 4K 60Hz TV as my primary monitor about 4 months ago and I love it. Granted, I got a cheapo brand Haier, but for what I use it for, it's fantastic. My wife didn't like it at first, but after using it for a few mins, she loved it too.
I just replaced my 25" ultrawide LG 21:9 with its brother 34" 21:9 and I thought I made a mistake buying something so big. Took me a couple of days to even think about keeping it. I did have to re install the vesa wall mount to a better ( lower ) position to help drive it home. Man its big, I can only imagine what your 43" monster must be like. I have a very deep desk hope others do to.
good review! I just bought this and it should arrive tomorrow... gosh this is what Ive wanted for a while but never knew they existed til the other day haha
@@Bytemybits Niiiiiiice! I LOOOOOOOOOVE MINE!! OMG, this took production work up to a WHOLE new level after using 27" monitors for the past 3 years!! I MEAN WOW!!!
I wonder how Skype deals with it when you share the screen.. Is there a way to share a small portion of this huge screen ? I am about to buy a 43" monitor (Either this one or the DELL)
I'd love to see a stock program like ThinkOrSwim, TradieStation or eSignal on this guy. I'm currently running 4x 24" 1080p monitors and would like to see if I can consolidate to one
After seeing your video about windows 10, what OS is your plex server now running ? I am running plex on my all in one pc with Linux mint and no issues at all
When you say Color Accuracy is not up to par is the monitor not capable of an acceptable DeltaE? Or do you mean the color gamut isn't up to professional levels such as wide gamut 10bit color?
Do you have any video showing the using separate inputs? I'm thinking this monitor for replace or instead of using 4 FHD monitors. This monitor is the same as 4x 22" monitors? Is good for reading?
i recommend it for my wife she was always complaining about the small screen on her laptop.and connecting an old 17-inch was to small. she thought the letters on my 30 inch dell 2560*1600 were just a bit to small. Looking at the price this is the best deal i could find for a large productivity screen. Even if you only use the 2560*1440.. if and when my old 30-inch stops working i'l be getting a second one. only problem is the fact that it doesn't do 2560*1600 that's a small problem the bigger one as finding a monitor stand that can handle this monitor ..any tips for one i could buy in Europe let me know..i asked Wendell from Level1Techs as a monitor nut but havent heard from him yet.
So im wondering, for more relaxed games like the witcher 3, fallout 4, (where you play normal and enjoy a good looking game)etc. is it still not a good idea? cause i can understand for competative gameing like sc:go its not good enough.
Could you post your Spyder 5 settings for 100% sRGB, I have Brightness 54, Contrast 70 and Red 50, Green 34, and Blue 9 with Mode 2 Gamma and want to see how close I am currently...much appreciated!
I recently wanted a new monitor. I was forced to buy a sony x900e 49 inch. So far it has been amazing. Man, monitors are really falling behind. How can anyone recommend the limitations of ISP/non hdr monitors anymore? (My almost perfect monitor would have: gsync, hdr, some form of OLED or bare minimum of QLED since the OLED is just not ready yet with the burn in issues, 120Hz, and at least 1440p/4k would be better for future proofing even though the 120hz would be too hard right now).
This monitor does NOT have FreeSync or G-Sync as stated by LG company. QUOTE^^ the #43UD79-B does not have any adaptive sync technology so if your frames go above or below the monitor's refresh rate, you will get tearing & you will get stutter if you go below its refresh rate when v-sync is on. END QUOTE^^
Good luck playing any modern games on Ultra where your 1% lows are far enough above 60 fps in 4K to justify that statement. Average FPS has far less significance on your gaming experience compared to 1% lows. If you're playing CS:GO you don't want a 40 inch screen anyway... you want something like a 240hz 1080p panel with G-SYNC.
my 1080ti's in sli seem to do pretty well. Hell I'd just use 1 card for my ASUS ROG SWIFT PG258Q. I prefer higher refresh rate at lower res than vice versa. It's just a preference my friend. :D
Freestyle Storm™ - for someone with such high end hardware, you seem to be clueless of the fact that there are no high refresh rate 4k monitors. Like... What were you expecting? Are you wealthy and ignorant, or poor and lying?
Show the monitor, not yo face.
i completely agree. this happens so often in youtube videos....
first thought coming on my mind after clicking the timeline video

Are you still happy with this monitor?
IS THIS HDR???

Whats the difference between 43ud79 and 43ud79-B
I am using an LG 43 inch 4k TV as a monitor. Bought it in 2019 for $290. Times have changed.

Nice video man! Question...what keyboard are you using in this video?
I have used a philips 40" 4k for a couple of years now and i love it, granted i would not buy this particular model again but the size is amazing.
Do you have any video showing the using separate inputs?
I'm thinking this monitor for replace or instead of using 4 FHD monitors.
This monitor is the same as 4x 22" monitors? Is good for reading?
I dont, but with windows scaling, its easy to read anything.
Byte My Bits but that means you need to configure Windows scalling or just use default configurations?
If this 43" is not great for color reproduction. Which 43" is? I am looking for one with better color reproduction and no edge fading.
IT looks like the pixels are visible ..
You a video editor? What software do you use?
Premiere Pro

Can you Daisy chain the Display port between monitors instead of a longer cable. I know I can do that on my production dell panels
Could you post your Spyder 5 settings for 100% sRGB, I have Brightness 54, Contrast 70 and Red 50, Green 34, and Blue 9 with Mode 2 Gamma and want to see how close I am currently...much appreciated!
How long are the supplied cables?
Best plex shirt hands down
I check status it say no freesync on Amazon but in video you it has freesync
Victor King I wondered about that too
is it possible to remove the protruding LD logo plastic piece at the bottom of the monitor? (in case you wanted to stack 2 one on top of another)
Should i buy this for my ps4 pro or should i spend a bit more and get a good tv?
can you unscrew that part with the logo LG from the bottom of the screen ? ty
no, under it is the control nob for the monitor

5:51 this should become a meme .....
then you hook it up and AH thats it
and you order a second one
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I downsized from 42 to 28 inch. Just too big and was bothering my neck.
Jason Kloos don't think this as an one monitor but as a 4 monitors in one.

Your video are too warm and the grade is terrible. Smooth presentation tho!

Great review of your "best friend" lol

damn. 60hz refresh rate... no gaming on that :D

Would of like to see the monitor instead of you...no offence.
