It's funny being a muslim in europe but specifically bosnia. It's a european country by all means but has many characteristics of a muslim country. So I often end up talking about europe as if I myself am not european
This makes me curious, how does it translate in the everyday life ? What aspects feel more muslim than european ? Im a muslim from france, in my city (in the south of the country) people are very friendly and open-minded ^^ so daily interactions are lovely! but in a broader sense, life as a muslim is still kinda hard bc we need to hide to pray, and most jobs and sports are forbidden for hijabis 😬 but we all know with every struggle there's ease, so we push through!
@Hafnalck i suppose it's that being a muslim feels very natural? In a sense. A majority of the population is muslim, in most of the country you don't have to hide when praying. It's a part of our language, too, it's very common to mention Allah in every day sentences. You don't really have to worry about food being halal. There is a large number of mosques and masjids, so having to pray when you're out isn't a big worry. The people are a close-knit community. Though there's also republika srpska to account, which takes up almost half of bosnia and herzegovina, where discrimination against muslims is sadly still prevalent. So the country is this weird mix up where being muslim is accepted and normal, but also you could get discriminated against over it, this mostly depending on what part of the country you're in
Im a Somali and i grew up in denmark I began to lose my somali When i moved there and there was many people drinking alcohol and some even sell Fake Islamic books,Then i was taken by Child protection And for the last year it was bad i switched houses from aunt to child Protection Then to my father then back to my mother It was pretty bad as i could only visit my mother like 1 time a week.
As a french muslim I can relate to all of this XD but it's just feel normal since Im born here so I wonder how it feels to be in a muslim country and yea..;in France it's not always easy to be a muslim ... worse if you wear the hijab
The day I learnt you gotta check EVERYTHING is when I was in primary school and we were given jelly or smth, halfway through eating someone said it has pork or beef gelatine... the way I RAN to the bathroom to wash my mouth for like 5 minutes 😂
Hello Ruby, i dont have an experience of having to fast for that much hours of fasting, like what you mentioned. But i saw some peoples comments on another video before that if youre living in a country where the hours of fasting is toooo much, then you can fast according to mekkah fasting hours or something like that. So i suggest you search about it and ask some sheikhs if possible.
