Would love for you to stop by KAGS (Augusta regional airport). I work there as an airside operations agent. I’m leaving for WOCS in october and army flight school next may. I have my ppl and currently working on my instrument rating. Would love to chat and possibly get a mentor to guide me on my future endeavors
Yes. You may have to enlist first because some states do not have the street to seat program. I enlisted and immediately dropped a packet to be a warrant officer. Now I’m in army flight school at Ft. Novosel.
@@booneboone9705 took me about a year to put together the packet and get selected for flight school. Then WOCS. Then i came home and did some cadre stuff for a few months. Then off to FT Novosel. From basic to flight school about two years.
This is an inspiring video. I wonder how eager or reluctant airlines were to hire you given that they knew that in the National Guard you could be deployed and taken away from your civilian job. I have the same desire to be a civilian pilot and an Army pilot but after attending ROTC I feel like the civilian side might not want to hire me for deployment fears. What are your thoughts and perspectives? I recognize laws prohibit companies from doing those things but I also feel that if they’re given a person without outside commitments they’d rather hire them over someone who might have to deploy. On the other hand, I would think that flying for the Army would only bolster the flight experience that employers look for. Perspectives on all these issues? I am going to attend Purdue’s professional flight major and hope to fly for the airlines and Army but I’m just worried about what the airlines might have to say about me being deployed, etc Thanks in advance and thanks for your service.
@@pharihubert5340 Um first of all this is Army pilot video... but if you want to become airline pilot through AF become an officer and go to pilot training. Btw officer requires bachelor's degree or higher. Also it's 18-33 I believe if you finish 10 years of service as pilot I'm sure you can go to airline
@@pharihubert5340 While it may not make you an airline pilot it will help you building hours and lessen the hours you need to become one through the restricted ATP license. You would also get licenses for free and paid for that normal would cost up to 10k or maybe more. It’s been a month but I hope this info helps👍🏽
Hoping to follow in these footsteps! Thanks for the great information, sir!
