I am a "minimalist" in some categories: foundation, primer, setting spray, concealer (and even with eyeshadows my collection is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than it used to be). However, I have an abundance of eyeliners and blushes, which to me are my flourish products: I can do the exact same style of eye look every day and whether I have a matching or contrasting color in the waterline makes a HUGE difference. That's how I keep things fun for me, even as I'm attempting to cut down on makeup purchases
THIS!!! I think you hit on a great point here, Morgan. We can be minimalists AND maximalists at the same time, tweaking the amount we have in various categories based on how they serve us.
I agree with this. I only need one foundation, powder, and bronzer. I have I think 4 mascaras because I like colored mascaras. I have 3 blushes right now. A pink, coral, a neutral. I don’t need 15 pink blushes. I have 3 eyeshadow pallets with different color stories because I do like doing different eyeshadow looks. But everyone is different. My makeup fits in a 24x17x2 inch drawer.
I only got into makeup in the last year or so….and I am OLD. Now, I have waaaaaay too much of it and would be able to enjoy it more if it were slimmed down. My next challenge is to figure out what to keep and how to dispose of the makeup that I’m not keeping. That seems easy, but it’s really not. I like all of it - that’s why I bought it. It’s just toooo much stuff. So…that’s why I watch you! Thank you for the inspiration!
I think a lot of us are in a similar boat - too much of a good thing. I'm still trying to slim my collection down, even now. It's great that we can all support each other on our journeys. If you have gently used makeup you would like to donate, Project Beauty Share might be a good option - they donate it to non-profit organizations. It's lovely to hear from you, Allison!
Your VOICE is literally sooooo calming. You sound like you should be on the radio giving advice. Love advice. Idk lol 😂 but seriously your voice is beautiful and calming. I loved listening to you ❤
To me a minimalist collection means having only one option, maybe a couple for color cosmetics, for each category. Specially foundation, concealer, brows, etc. I would consider your travel make up definitely minimalist 😅 It is a tricky balance satisfying the creative mind and the overwhelming amount of choice sometimes, but that's something we learn by challenging ourselves like you did during your travels 🥰
Woohoo! I'm glad I managed it... despite the fact that I cheated a little bit in the eyeshadow department. ;-) You're right. It can be tricky balancing choice with creativity. Some of the best ideas come from limitation. But I still think I'm going to stick with my maximalist collection anyway. At least as long as I enjoy it this much. 😂
My mindset is that we can try different products once we use up what we have. Many times I think: when I finish my mascara or my foundation, etc. I'll try the one I like, that blush, etc. We do not have to rush through the advertising of having everything always and from all brands.
That esum make up bag looks so useful - I like the harder sides, feels a lot safer than the less structured bags out there! It can be difficult to balance a love of makeup with a reasonable collection, and I really like the focus on getting joy out of using and experiencing the collection as it currently exists, versus getting joy out of just adding to the collection over and over!
It really is! I've had so much makeup smooshed and broken over the years that I really value the more structured bag. I'm still learning what a reasonable collection is, but I think I'm getting closer now that I'm finding the balance between the joy of gratitude vs the joy of newness.
I think you did great! I am a minimalist who is also a makeup lover. I think the sweet spot between too much and too little is a very personal divide. It’s when I am overwhelmed with choices versus feeling like not enough choice. For me that’s worked out balancing joy and overwhelm. Choice is only fun when it’s true favourites which means being ready to let go of things that aren’t perfect for me.
It's lovely to hear the opinion of a bona fide minimalist! That balance between joy and overwhelm can be difficult to find. It's great that you're ready to let go when things aren't a perfect fit. I've gotten so much better about that, but I'd still like to increase that willingness to let go.
The sounds of your demonstrating the makeup bag are so satisfying. I see a lot of gold nuggets and tried and true favorites in your minimalist kit. And its good that you have ways for them to be flexible. You really light up talking about eyeshodw. Obivously a favorite joy bringer of yours.🤩😍 There is something to the phrase "integrated smudger" that makes me think more things should have one. You need a shirt or a sign that reads "Swatch goblin does palette hopping for cardio" 😂🤣😂 I think you hit on something really important in this video withe minimalist vs. maximalist discussion. I think too many people have this simplified idea that being a maximalist just means having a lot of stuff, whereas a minimalist doesn't. The quanititative argument certainly has merit both as far as shelf space and cost outlay, but there is also a qualitative arguemnt to be made that you touched on wonderfully. You have learned how to get more and better use out of and appreciation for what you have, which to me points to a perspective free of any isms. Also through your no-buy and your adiagio beauty projects, you have changed your thinking habits as to use and purchasing of what make up is in your collection, so the utlity increases. I can never be accused of being a minimalist, I like stuff too much. But I will say that things I have learned, partly from following you, have helped me have a greater appreciation for how I collect what I do. Sheer quantity is no longer a thing I worry about. I want the gold nuggets I can truly appreciate. I feel like you've discovered that as well. I think having an understanding of how we collect provides a better viewpoint to view what we have and gets a way from the binary choices and simplistic spectrums and instead creates a space where we can enjoy and engage with our stuff in a way that brings simplicity. And that's about as philisophical as I want ot get without a pipe or leather elbow patches.😆
I may or may not play that makeup bag like a drum sometimes. ;-) Yeah, who knew that colored dirt could bring so much joy? It's the simple things in life. 😂 I might have to make that shirt. 😂 You're right. As much as humans like to simplify things, make them black and white, everything's always a grey area. Including minimalism and maximalism. As someone who has glimpses into your collection, you seem to do a wonderful job curating it. You are so right: the greater our understanding of how we interact with our collections, the more levels there are in which we can enjoy engaging with the things we choose. BRING OUT THE PIPE! BRING OUT THE ELBOW PATCHES!
@TheStyleStumbler everything is a grey area. That's why it's my favorite color. I love discussing minutia and nitty gritty. There definitely is a lot of joy to be found in simple things, especially good conversation. I've worked hard at curating my collection. I'm am constantly on the hunt for several things a pipe, elbow patches, and a pith helmet among them. 😂
One makeup bag. One full coverage foundation, one skin tint. One waterproof mascara, one normal one etc. One brownser, one eyeshadow pallete. Thats all need, one or two of each❤ If i did my makeup more often maybe i would need more, but I believe its nicer, cleaner and more friendly to the enviroment to have as little as possible. Im glad this is becoming the trend instead of these huge collections. Thank you for the video❤️
It sounds like you have a beautifully curated makeup bag with just enough for everything you need. That's great. Thanks for taking a moment to say hello and share your thoughts! ❤️
I loved this video! I feel similarly about my makeup application time. As a mom of young kiddos, it’s one of the few things that I do that is simply just for me and just for the joy of it. I’m fine not wearing it, and I’d rather skip it entirely than rush and panic my way through a routine. One thing that is helpful in minimizing a (definitely) maximalist collection over here is really experimenting. I wore a gorgeous eye look from good quality shadows two days in a row, and it was such a luxurious feeling that it helped me part with lovely but definitely inferior eye shadows right afterward. If I have quality things, why keep the ones that will not perform as well? It’s been a slow journey for me, bc I *think* that I love it all. But I only have so much time for expiration dates and only one face, so prioritizing what I truly love is essential!
Thank you! I completely agree. Sometimes taking a few moments to indulge in something just for ourselves can be so refreshing. And I'm with you: I'd rather go without wearing makeup than have to rush through the process. It sounds like you and I might be on a similar journey. I spent my "panning for gold" series comparing similar items in my collection, keeping only the ones that worked best for me. Because if I only have one face, I'd rather just use the product that works best for me instead of keeping second-rate versions of it. It's been a slow journey for me for the same reason! 😂
So happy you're back! I'm definetely not a minimalist. I love to have a variation of products, the products themselves, and just looking at my collection and using makes me happy 😊 For me makeup is my meditation. I take my time to apply it and I really enjoy while at it. I'd rather go without than slapping it on....
Thanks for welcoming me back so warmly! Haha! Seems like we're similar in that respect. Sometimes just looking at all my makeup is enough to make me smile too. And I'd also rather go without makeup at all than slap it on my face in a rush.
It's so interesting to see the results of your minimalist experiment. I am not surprised by your conclusion of being a makeup maximalist but not because I think of you as someone who just likes having a lot of stuff, but because of your distinctly detailed love and appreciation for the different nuances within makeup. Your "Makeup Monster" gets joy from experiencing different textures, finishes, and options (even if they are "dirt-coloured dirt" and varying shades of beige ;) ). And that is a beautiful thing! I can definitely relate to wanting to simplify your life in response to feeling overwhelmed. The deep dive you have done into your collection and adagio beauty journey have culminated into such a beautiful and approachable mindset towards makeup. Thank you for always inspiring us!
It's true - my Makeup Monster's love of variety will probably keep my collection pretty large for some time to come. But I'm glad I tried this experiment - inspired partly by your beautifully curated collection, by the way! Ugh. Yes. There are definitely several areas of my life that are currently being simplified beyond recognition. It's great, but I'm glad I don't have to do it to my makeup, too. ;-) Thank you for always leaving such thoughtful comments. It's always lovely to read your responses.
While I’m far from being a minimalist, my goal is to get there one day. I’m only buying things that are a must buy but no longer impulse buying. I’m currently focusing on using up all my product and creating a weekly basket of products to rediscover and to see if I still like them. Through this process, is how I’m actually making the decision to declutter or to keep it and enjoy it. I definitely don’t follow the rule of tossing products based on a company’s so called use by date. I only toss it if it’s visibly gone bad or caused a breakout, otherwise, I’m trying to get my money’s worth 😁
I'm glad to see another fellow member of the "ignore the use-by date - let's get our money's worth" club! 🥳 It sounds like you're on the path to finding out what adds the most value to your life and focusing on those things. That sounds great! Thanks for taking a moment to share your thoughts. It was lovely to hear from you, Milica!
I find when I see something I want I put it on A wishlist. When I run out of a product I go to my list and pick something in that category. This also lets me still try different things. But I ha d found as far as base products I have holy grails and don’t even want to try new. Mascara is the only thing you have yo be careful with expiration dates.
I’m always fascinated with minimalists but live a very maximalist life. I’m in the beauty industry so it’s extremely hard to be a minimalist with makeup and skincare. I literally get gifted products at my job and with my employee discount, I can’t help but continuously shop the newest products. It’s a struggle.
I feel similarly. Minimalism intrigues me, but I tend to be maximalist when it comes to hobbies - including makeup. Is there a category of makeup or skincare that interests you most? Or do you like it all equally?
I don't know who you are, two videos in, I'm sold! I feel like im going through same journey, having similar conclusion, you seem further along and I have fallen off, but the eyeshadow thing, spoke to my soul! I've gone from 100s palettes to like 30 odd. Yes, still ridiculous but i just enjoy knowing they exist! Haven't bought another in two years! But I can even live with knowing they can go off and I don't feel guilt! I have thr capacity for now to harbour them! I cant wait to see more of your channel, btw great voice and aunnication! Love from UK
Yes! That has been a great advantage for me, too: even though I have a lot of makeup, now that I haven't been buying a lot, the makeup I have can slowly expire and I won't feel guilty. Thanks for taking a moment to let me know that you're enjoying the videos. ♡
I really appreciate your approach to beauty, and also your great willingness to question your relationship to it. Certainly what’s minimalist/maximalist or too much/not enough varies from person to person. I think the sweet spot is having enough that you’re satisfied with your choices but not having so much that you can’t enjoy every item as much as you’d like. I have found that the vast majority of beauTubers (was that what you called it?) and surely more than a fair few of us mere beauty consumers have sometimes lost sight of the using and enjoying of it within reason versus the rush of… well, buying it, right? You can love eyeshadow, the colors, the glitter and shine, the packaging, the application and artistry, but still and all, there is always a point of TOO MUCH. Side note: why do you think cost per use/wear isn’t a thing in makeup like it is with clothing?
Thanks so much for keeping me company on this journey Angela. You're right - we each have to define "too much" and "not enough" for ourselves. And I'm learning that, although I can be quite "extra" when it comes to things like makeup, I'm quite the minimalist in other areas. A couple of years ago I was definitely among the beautyTubers/normal consumers who lost sight of the balance between the joy of having vs the joy of getting. I'm still working on it, but it's getting easier. Where do you think you fall on that spectrum? As for cost per use: I don't know why that kind of thinking is more prevalent with regard to clothing than cosmetics. I wonder if it's because using our clothing is more obvious? (Laundry, wear/tear). Or maybe because clothing is a necessity that everyone wears, so that broader societal perspective across all classes created more organic ties to the economics of the wardrobe? Hmmm... that's a great question. As a side note, @TooMuchTash was the one who first got me thinking about cost per use with her videos. Her perspective was my gateway to a more grounded approach to my makeup.
@@TheStyleStumbler thanks for such a thoughtful response. Personally, it’s been a journey for me too, and I think more than anything, the thing that’s really moved the needle for me is simply the awareness of “Oh, I’m in a shopping mindset right now” and interrogating that instead of buying the thing. Speaking of content creators in this vein, Shawna Ripari has referred to that as “non-judgmental noticing,” and it’s a much more gentle and actually effective approach to viewing my purchasing habits. And you know what, sometimes I do let myself buy the thing, but now I take the time to make sure the joy goes beyond the buying: I use the product right away, I use it again and again, even if I don’t immediately like it or know how to make it work, I use it different ways, I put it in project pans-in a way, it feels like I’m committing to my purchases, instead of being ok with it simply being in my collection, hardly used, or using the option of decluttering as a crutch. I feel like there’s more to respond to but I’m pushing up against my arbitrary word quota 😅
@@angelaa.9915 Awareness has been the key for me, too. Shawna definitely had a nugget of wisdom with her "non-judgemental noticing." There is no place for shame in growth. Thanks for a thoughtful response, too! ♥
I have zero concept of making myself use items I don’t want to. There are enough things in mice that I have to do that don’t completely enjoy. Anything other feels like self punishment. But…. I get rid of them so I don’t feel as guilty 😂. I can appreciate the introspection here. I don’t keep old makeup.
How true! Life has enough unpleasant aspects - why add to them by using stuff we don't like? That's why I've been decluttering so much makeup to friends and family lately. And why it might be time to finally say goodbye to that Armani foundation...
So nice to see your videoes again! I feel the exact same way about makeup! And YES! Applying my makeup does feel like meditation🧘♀️💄 And I think having the perfect makeup collection is about having just the right amount to make you happy, not more not less😊 And also going through some sort of journey where you truly think about and get rid of anything that doesn't serve you is neccessary in all aspects of life😀
Åshild! It's great to "see" you again! And it's so fun to be able to connect with like-minded makeup meditators. 😊 You're right: the best amount of makeup is one that doesn't overwhelm us, but gives us enough options to make our inner swatch goblins happy. 😀
I think maximalists should try this once just to get to know their make-up habits and products better. I was forced to be a minimalist after moving and wasn’t able to unpack and set up the rest of my collection for months. For 4 months I was confined to one make-up bag I packed for the move. It helped me understand what I really enjoyed about putting on my make-up, which products/finishes/functions I really liked and what I did/didn’t miss at all. It changed my make-up life and helped me embrace maximalism in certain areas and minimalism in others. Thank you for sharing this concept with us. Also, your audio quality is like audiobook level. Not only is your voice perfect for audiobook/podcast/voiceover work, but your equipment and editting sounds topnotch. What mic/mixer do you use?
Thanks for taking a moment to leave such a thoughtful comment! I agree - this was a very useful experience that will help me hone and channel my maximalism in ways that will ultimately add more value for me. I'm glad you enjoy the audio quality! I work as a professional singer and voice actor, so I use my studio equipment for these videos (a Sennheiser MKH 416 P48U3 microphone and an Apogee Ensemble interface).
I love love this video!!! I know i am a maximalist in makeup and dont think i will enjoy a minimalist collection. That being said i know i need to declutter but it is so hard for me in that area. Thankyou for sharing this insight. Just suscribed!
Hi Carol! It's always fun to meet another makeup maximalist. 🥳 Do you have a favorite cosmetic category? It was really challenging for me to learn how to let go of makeup, too, so I can relate. Even though I've been "putter decluttering" for the past two years, it's still hard. Just in case it helps: I haven't regretted giving anything away. I think the key for me is that I was always able to justify letting certain items go because I discovered that I owned something else that did the same job, only better.
@@TheStyleStumbler Knowing that you were able to, gives me hope. I don’t mind having a larger size collection but do aspire to have everything accesible and better organized, and that every items brings me joy. Since i have more makeup that fits in my drawers it is difficult to find things. I think my favorite things are concealers, foundations (i truly don’t know why) and eyeshadow palettes. I haven’t bought an eyeshadow palette in forever since i have too many, but have 3 or 4 on my wishlist of things i know i don’t need but want eventually in my collection. I do think that i have gotten better knowing my style and buying stuff that work for me and will use a lot, but what i don’t know is how to declutter or downsize my collection. It is not sentimental or anything, i just feel that since i bought it, maybe some day i will use it or fall in love with it. Need to do a better job decluttering.
@@carolmsepulvedasoto3607 You have no idea how much I can relate to that. Even though I've been (very) slowly downsizing my collection over the past two years, I still don't have a way to perfectly organize everything. Which means I should probably keep going with my declutter. And that idea of "since I bought it, maybe some day I will use it or fall in love with it" is also so familiar to me.
i'm nowhere near being a minimalist makeup user, but my behavior towards buying and wearing makeup changed since the pandemic, as it happened to many people. i think that having to stay at home, wearing masks and prioritizing what to spend money on changed our mentality on consummerism. makeup isn't essential and it's expensive! also, my makeup style changed as well. i loved a full face with a heavy base, thick eyeliner, thick brows, blinding highlighter lol now my makeup style is so basic and i think it flatters me more! i realized i "loved" certain things because they were the trend at the time, not because they flattered me. even though i spend a lot less time putting on makeup, it's like you said, it's my most treasured moment of my day. it's me time, i get to be with myself, being my best girly self lol
Yes! Those few moments of being our best girly selves are so valuable. And that's a good point - that we often like things because they're trendy, but don't often consider if they actually suit us. Now I'll have to reflect and see if I still fall into this trap. Thanks for the thought-provoking comment!
I love this video!! I see my makeup time exactly the same way you do. It’s my self care time. It’s enjoyable for me! I’d actually rather not wear makeup than rush and slap a few things on haphazardly. I’m fine not wearing makeup. If I put makeup on, I’m going to enjoy the experience. I haven’t always been in this phase. I’ve been a person who never wears makeup (med school) , someone who owns one blush, one powder, one mascara (college, practicing medicine, and when my kids were young)….and now I’ve got multiples of every step and makeup is self care and a hobby I really enjoy. All of the phases are good and have their place for me. I’m sure I’ll be somewhere else 10 years from now!
That's great! It sounds like we're both currently in the same phase. I'd also rather not wear makeup at all than have to rush through the process. It's definitely an evolution though. I didn't wear makeup at all for the first 23 years of my life, and when I began I was happy with my just the most basic items. Now I'm a fiend. But who knows? Maybe we'll both become minimalists again in the future. ;-)
You're just the best. I actively missed your videos while you were travelling. You're so well spoken and have a thoughtful way of articulating your ideas! Were you on tour?
Great video! I am not a makeup wearer. Most days I put on lipgloss and go! I have oily skin and never found a foundation that worked for me so I quit wearing it entirely years ago. My minimalist makeup bag has an eyeshadow quad, an eylash curler, a cream blush stick, a nude lipstick and a couple of lip glosses. I maybe use this makup 3-5 times a year🤷
I really enjoyed this video! It was so nice to see someone put into words how I feel about makeup. Your voice is sooo calming as well lol. Really loved this makeup look on you, it made me realize how much I want to find my perfect nude shade of lipstick! I really have hard time finding one rip 😭
I'm so glad you enjoyed it - thanks for letting me know! It's always fun to meet like-minded makeup geeks. ♥ Finding the perfect shade of nude really is a challenge unto itself. Now that I finally found mine, I have to hope that Chanel never discontinues it! 😂
i love these types of video topics, it helps with the increasingly toxic nature of beauty overconsumption. seeing people's minimal makeup stash gives me the same euphoric curiosity like a "what's in my bag?" video, but your voice caught me off guard! may i know your mic setup? thankyou!
Thanks so much for taking a moment to share your thoughts! I apologize for the late reply - I was traveling and haven't had much time to go online lately. I'm glad I was able to offer you a break from the overconsumption trend. As for my mic setup: I work as a professional vocalist, so my gear is overkill for my tiny channel. I use a Sennheiser MKH 416-P48U3 mic through an Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt interface.
Thank you, Florinda! It's lovely to hear from you! I think the end result on my cheeks was due to the combination of products and not just one. Probably the most important in creating the supple, blurred look were the primer, the foundation and the setting powder (which has been discontinued 😭). The freshness factor was probably due to the blush and highlight. But here's the whole list (including replacements for any discontinued items): I used the Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Face Base Primer, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and e.l.f. cream cheek as my base (the elf cream cheek palette was discontinued, but I find that the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge formula is similar and the colors are even better). I set it with the Givenchy Prisme Libre face powder (which unfortunately has since been reformulated. The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder is a great replacement). And I set the color cosmetics with the Charlotte Tilbury face palette. (I believe the formula of the bronzer and highlighter is the same as her Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, and I believe the blushes are the same formula as the Cheek to Chic blushes.) If you'd like links to anything, you can look in my description box since everything is linked there.
If I only had a few products they would be: Lancome Ultra Wear Foundation, Givenchy Prism libre Powder, Mac Peach Blossom lipstick, Mac Pro Long wear concealer, Mac blush New Romance, Essence lash princess mascara, Catrice Slim matic brow pencil, Hourglass bronzer luminous bronze light and my all time favorite eye shadow palette Dior Soft Cashmere. Edit: and lipliner Mac Whirl or Bobbi Brown Pale Mauve.
Oooo - that is such a great list of items! And they sound like they'd look beautiful together. Some of my favorites are in there (the Givenchy powder, MAC Whirl, and Hourglass).
I am so pleased you have come to the conclusion you are a maximalist about makeup and I’m sure you will get even more abundance of pleasure in the future…..I look forward to new acquisitions and ideas…
Maybe option overwhelm is the lesser of the two evils? I've found it difficult to whittle my collection down, for sure. That's why my declutter is still going, TWO YEARS LATER! 😂
I am a "minimalist" in some categories: foundation, primer, setting spray, concealer (and even with eyeshadows my collection is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than it used to be).
I may or may not play that makeup bag like a drum sometimes. ;-)
Yeah, who knew that colored dirt could bring so much joy? It's the simple things in life. 😂
I might have to make that shirt. 😂
You're right.
Stefanieeee❤😊SO happy to see your videos again 😊 I missed you 🎉Much love from Greece 🇬🇷 my beautiful ❤🎉
Eleni!!!! It's so nice to "see" you again, too! ❤
One makeup bag. One full coverage foundation, one skin tint. One waterproof mascara, one normal one etc. One brownser, one eyeshadow pallete. Thats all need, one or two of each❤
If i did my makeup more often maybe i would need more, but I believe its nicer, cleaner and more friendly to the enviroment to have as little as possible.
I love to have a variation of products, the products themselves, and just looking at my collection and using makes me happy 😊
For me makeup is my meditation.
Sooo glad you back🤩 Missed your videos, it's a great pleasure to see a new one.
Thanks for such a warm welcome back, Анастасия! It's wonderful to "see" you again.
It's great, but I'm glad I don't have to do it to my makeup, too. ;-)
Thank you for always leaving such thoughtful comments.
It sounds like you're on the path to finding out what adds the most value to your life and focusing on those things.
Fabulous 😍...your makeup in the video is unbelievable ❤
Thank you! ❤
Thank you, Olivia! I'm so happy you're here.
I was on the road for a mix of work and play. Some time on tour, some time with family.
I would LOVE that mini elf cream contour kit. I hate the size of the newer ones and that they don't include a blush.
I haven't seen their newer ones yet - but I'm sad to hear that the new ones don't include a blush.
I maybe use this makup 3-5 times a year🤷
That sounds remarkably freeing. “Lipgloss and go” is so quick and easy!
And that minimalist makeup bag sounds quite streamlined.
Thanks for sharing!
Happy to see you back Stephanie!!🎉
Thanks for the warm welcome back, Ren! ♥
You have so much wisdom! Thank you for sharing what you have shared. I learn so much from you. I agree with you on almost everything!
I'm so glad you're enjoying this content. It's so much fun to find like-minded people! ❤
Glad to see you back! Missed your posts.
Thanks for a warm welcome back! ❤
Finding the perfect shade of nude really is a challenge unto itself.
What product are you using on your cheeks?
They look amazing, fresh, blurred, and supple.
But here's the whole list (including replacements for any discontinued items):
I used the Bobbi Brown Vitamin E Face Base Primer, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and e.l.f. cream cheek as my base (the elf cream cheek palette was discontinued, but I find that the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge formula is similar and the colors are even better).
I think you did a GREAT job
Thank you, Kaitlin! ♡
I am so pleased you have come to the conclusion you are a maximalist about makeup and I’m sure you will get even more abundance of pleasure in the future…..I look forward to new acquisitions and ideas…
Thanks for following along, Kathleen! ❤️

Thanks for showing me some love, Filippa! ❤
I wish I could be a minimalist. I'm too indecisive to whittle my collection down more. Meaning I have option overwhelm 🤦♀️
Maybe option overwhelm is the lesser of the two evils? I've found it difficult to whittle my collection down, for sure. That's why my declutter is still going, TWO YEARS LATER! 😂
