      I do really like the mint green. I had seen it on DJ's prior and wasn't that excited about it but, seeing it on the SD - somehow it just works so well. Enjoy that piece. Thanks for stopping by the video!

    I have the 2 tone jubillee bracelet with the white dial (opalescent). This is a great time piece for its 4 functions; gmt, month, day and local time. A great watch.

      TT white on oyster is another version I was looking at. SD is really a perfect dress piece honestly, super versatile. And yes, for the money with the functionality you get it's tough to beat. Cheers, thanks for the comment!

      Appreciate you man. I've seen a few posts floating around on social with pictures/video, to me the dial almost looks the same color as this one, but that could be just because of the contrast of color to the rose gold. I'm with ya, I'll pay an AD just to see one in person 😂 what Rubber B did you pick up/for what watch?

      @@JamesCarian I got the “espresso brown” for my Tudor 925. Been wanting a more summer look for that watch as it came on the leather strap. Couldn’t ask for better quality and comfort. Totally agree with you

    Blue SS Sky Dweller is definitely the piece to own. Beautiful watch! The Mint Green will drive these Blue prices back up, I suspect. Would still love to own the Blue over any other variant.

    Amazing watch, maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to buy one. I’m currently on the list for the Pepsi, with jubilee bracelet. If that comes through next year then I’ll give it a year or 2 and then I’ll go for the sky dweller. Those are really the only Rolex’s I like. And for well with my job since I travel for a living.

      Thanks for the comment! Both are great watches, I do like the Batman but haven't gone after one yet. Currently have this and the YM2...if I were to look at a next Rolex it would probably be the YM40 rodium dial, I love the tiny blue accents on it and the platinum bezel looks amazing. As always, these are the dangers of getting into watches, there's continually another one to have 😂😂 hope you get your Pepsi soon, post a review - it's a beautiful watch!

    Nice looking watch! Did you purchase it with the SS bracelet and buy a separate clasp for the rubber strap?

      I purchased it with the SS Oyster bracelet (they offer the Jubilee on it now as well) and then I swapped that out with the Rubber B. I'm using the factory clasp though, Rubber B doesn't offer Rolex-style clasps that I've seen, only pin buckles on some bands. But they're pretty easy to swap out, just have to play with the fit a bit because the Rubber B doesn't attach to the EasyLink system, that gets removed when you take the bracelet off.

      @@JamesCarian Yes. A lot of the fun is in the hunt. My first was a Tudor Black Bay, followed by an AP Royal Oak Chrono, Arnold & Son Globetrotter, and IWC Pilot Chrono. On waiting list for Datejust 41 with mint green dial.

    is your SD's bracelet Oyster or Jubilee? I tried to purchase the same Rubber B band but it say it is not compatible with Jubilee model.

      Nah that doesn't make sense. Mine is an oyster, but lug spacing is the same on both oyster and jubilee, and it connects to the clasp in the same way. Look at any jubilee review of the watch online and you can see it. Rubber B will still work with jubilee.

      @@xmagnusx3605 appreciate that. Rubber B nailed the color of the dial with this strap. Sometimes it's tough to find that and it's like a slightly different color, just doesn't have the same effect. But when the strap perfectly matches the dial... 🔥🔥🔥

    Have the white opalescent dial , two tone with the jubilee bracelet. All others are too dark for a very quick glance in my eye❤😂s.😂😂

    Love the look of the SD but recently turned one down on an oysterflex. Simply to bulky to be comfortable. AD very nicely sold me a DJ in its place which i now wear more than my Daytona.

      For sure depending on wrist size and also personal preference, DJ makes a lot of sense. Also especially given you can configure them to look nearly identical to the SD models for the most part. So congrats on the DJ!

      @@JamesCarian Thanks. When I collected my DJ the AD had a SS SD blue face on a bracelet. I really loved the look of the watch but again just to bulky. He's getting me a no date Sub as a consolation. Its a nice first world problem to have.

      @@JamesCarian Lost my AD of 35 years about a year ago because he lost the franchise after 103 years. So I had to start over again. When in reality I could have had any watch I simply didn't ask, more fool me. Strange feeling having to prove yourself to strangers again at my age. However after a few miserable visits to rude AD's finally found a good one and hoping to build another long term relationship. To the rude AD's who dismissed me my wife tells me its like pretty woman. They missed out on loads of business. Enjoy your watches.

      Yes, one of the best alternative straps in my opinion. And for Rolex they integrate so nicely as the bracelets do.

    To get one under 20 is definitely preowned with probably no box or papers on any of the colors. If you want a unworn with 2023 papers your in the mid 20s even if it’s not the blue. Beautiful watch

    Does it feel bulky to you? Thickness looks twice the size of the Datejust

      I've honestly never tried on a DJ but in terms of dimensions, the SD is about 2mm thicker, maybe 3mm more lug to lug, and slightly larger diameter case. I personally love the feel of this watch! And I have smaller wrists so, for most people I'm sure it's a comfortable fit. Even when I've worn it on the bracelet it didn't feel overwhelming for me.

      @@mek2350 I feel you, that is the exact same thing I was considering before I decided on the Sky Dweller, I was looking at doing a blue DJ41. They are both beautiful watches, I think I liked that the SD was a little more interesting with the ring command bezel & had the annual calendar. But - the DJ would save you some money for sure haha. I also really like the mint green, I was excited to see the new SD release in that color. For a second I considered trying to get one and trading this in but, I don't know that I could ever part with the blue. I'm finding a lot of variations of the color in my collection, it's kind of becoming a theme.

      I think there are several that are. Some of the secondary market prices for sure I agree are way too high. But even a Datejust or a Daytona at retail I think are worth it. Sky Dweller holds its own regardless in my opinion, given the complications.

      The clasp? I am using the factory one here, so when you change the bracelet out you simply remove the clasp and then attach the Rubber B strap onto it.

      @@990v6 it's the one that comes with the watch. It's not a separate one. You remove the clasp from the bracelet when you install the Rubber B strap. Does that make sense?

      @@990v6 from my understanding you won't find a clasp on its own (unless eBay, etc) but you could buy a full bracelet including clasp from a Rolex AD.

    Not big enough for me. If this came out in 44mm and a bit thicker, I’d seriously look at it. This was why I passed over the Rolex YM 42mm gold Oysterflex for Omega’s 44mm Seamaster 300 full Sedna gold. You see, everyone has different desires …..

    Too big, too expensive. Have 3 old Rollies, 2 of them very special, but I dont see anything interesting in the modern lineup. Too much drifting towards drag-queen style with their precious metals and diamonds. But the quality is absolute.

      There are still some timeless pieces. And they're experimenting which I appreciate also. The titanium YM, the new 1908. SD is for sure on the bigger side of things but, in terms of value I think it's still a great piece for the technology you get inside. Quality, for sure that's consistent across the board.       It IS a bit larger, yes. If you like the overall look and feel, Rolex also has the Datejust 41 that gives you everything except the annual calendar/dual time function. That wears more comfortably on a smaller wrist size!

    2024 sky dweller at msrp I have Parkinson and can not read the watch. I need a white face a or some face that I will be able to see. It's a brand new 2024 wore it to try on. I take what I paid for it or trade for a different face l

    Too big, thick and busy looking. If they trimmed this down to 40 mm and crafted the thickness down to 12mm, I think it would be better imo 💯

      @@JamesCarian it's already considered by many a super datejust. I only made my statements because it's not a professional series Rolex so it needn't be so blocky...same as the now defunct Milgauss (for blockiness 😂). I just think it would be more popular (and wearable) if it was made smaller and less thick. I owned a sky dweller so I speak from experience 😀

      @@JinxPalm2023 I wouldn't have it any other way. The dial setup/layout was what initially attracted me to the watch. And I think even though it is bigger yes, it's not blocky like the prior model subs etc, it's got a curvier, more elegant case style. Agree to disagree on this one 🙂

      @@JinxPalm2023 the DDs are beautiful for sure. Lots of great color combos with the different metals, even how the indices can look different. And yeah some of those stone dials are incredible! I hope you land one! Though rare, I don't get the sense that the eisenkeisel ones were as popular so maybe that helps your chances.
