    Very big Beatles fan here. I , as a stupid young fan scaled the walls in the summer of 1980 to meet my idol, or at the least, take a dip in his pool... I almost made it to the pool when two enormous Rottweilers appeared.....I ran along endless swaths of lawn as the dogs got closer and even closer.....Two friends pulled me up as the dogs lunged...Lennonon was the coolest person eveR and I was devastated when he was murdered the following December.

      Great minds think alike. I went on the property when I was in college. The police were there in seconds. No big deal. I was just checking it out.

    Im sure it's just me, but that looks lonely. All that space, there is always the feeling "where is everyone else?"

    A beautiful mansion. It is a shame John could not enjoy it , I could live there but i am afraid I have not the money

    Never in a million years would I have thought that John would have wanted to be in that kind of scene.

    my ex husband and i were huge beatles (and particularly Lennon) fans in our youth. we even looked a bit like john and yoko haha. John's death was deeply upsetting. I knew he lived at the Dakota, but never knew about this house. so interesting. thank you

    How come this is the first I’ve ever heard about this John Lennon’s estate in Florida? It’s been almost 43 years since he died I never once did they mention this property as being purchased, but barely used.

    They don't make mansion's like that anymore. It's incredible all the wealth that's out there.

    It is incredible that being such a small family, John, Yoko and Sean, bought this giant property, when you are a millionaire your head goes anywhere.

    Wow.....a beautiful estate. Those pools look so inviting. Unfortunately, the sun is not my friend. I am very fair-skinned. (I'll blame it on my Irish, Polish, Scottish, English, French, and Norwegian roots)

      1 pool was saltwater. The other fresh. Cool right?

      @silva7493 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm with you. We have similar genetics, except for the French and Polish. Florida would kill me.

      @@StrangeHistoryX A saltwater pool AND a fresh water pool!? Lifestyles of the rich and famous, huh. I once help care for my parents' 27' round, above-ground pool...which was no walk in the park. My mom, dad, and I built the deck around it ourselves. We built the fence around the yard too. My friend's boyfriend (a school friend) helped dig the post holes, but he didn't do a great job (wasn't his fault, he just wasn't' used to hard labor), so I had to finish that project with my dad. I hope to never have to use a post hole digger again. Fishing leaves out of the pool's filter box, skimming bugs daily, keeping the PH balanced, walking along the narrow rim of the pool as I vacuumed it, putting the cover on (and off) of it.....a lot of work....but I must say that floating on my back, facing the sky, daydreaming as I watched the treetops sway.....floating weightless and hearing only myself breathe under the water's surface.....worth *every* effort. I was between the age of 16-19 when I enjoyed my parent's pool. In those days, I'd listen to Lionel Richie (Can't Slow Down), The Gin Blossoms (New Miserable Experience), Def Leppard (Hysteria), and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik).....all on cassette. Sure was annoying to have to flip the cassette back in those days...but that's what younger sisters are for, I suppose. I'm spoiled nowadays, with countless hours of custom playlists.

    So sad that he bought this for his young son Sean - Julian was back in his life a real coastal bolt hole from New York

    I'd be bored out of my skull living there. Give me a nice place with no more than 4000 square feet and a 4 car garage with workshop and I'm in heaven.

    So sad that Yoko got it all. It is hard to imagine a less worthy heir: a narcissist that got her prey hooked on heroin, then used her skills to separate John from the Beatles, then devalue the most talented Beatle, who could only create when he was away from her. She should be ashamed but, she thinks all this is her glory.

    Yoko had all the window casements and gates varnished and they just glowed in the sun,then after she sold the next owners did that grey pickling like a sea shanty and ruined it .
