If you are listening to this song. Let me tell you. You have an excellent taste in music. You are consider a friend of mine. Blessings from Los Angeles California 🙏🙏🙏
I was born in 1994 and my grandpa used to play this song by the living room. He used to tell me that music this good its gonna be hard to find in the near future. I think he was right, bless your soul pops, hugs to heaven
Hence the old adage "when it rains it pours." Bad things started to happen to him then more bad luck follows. In the end the sun will come out and bad luck will go away.
I will always remember: at one of Roger's concerts in London he was closing with this song, and I looked over at the man in the next seat beside me. He was on his feet dancing and singing along with every fibre of his being, with bright twinkles in his eyes, teardrops falling from the corner of his eyes. I could see how this song had touched him, and in turn it also touched me deeply. After the song, I reached over to give him a hug, and we've been friends ever since. Roger's music is very special in that way!
Just as a good song should. The one that gets me every time is Bobby Goldsboro's Honey when he gets to the "One day when I was not at home and she was there all alone the angels came." It is good for the soul.
Supertramp played in Austin tx when this song came out. Right before the show it rained really hard. Just about everyone had an umbrella with them that night. When they played the raining song, the entire audience broke out the umbrellas. It was truly magical. If only there would been a camera to record it and a TH-cam to watch it on
I was at that concert. My aunt and uncle took me at the last minute because they had an extra ticket. We drove through heavy rain to get there. It was a once-in-a-lifetime “concert” moment, watching from the balcony as all those umbrellas opened and swayed to the music. That night, we were shocked to learn that Roger Hodgson would be leaving Supertramp at the end of that worldwide tour in ‘83. He announced it on stage, wearing a crinkled white suit. Supertramp was never the same after that, and I’m so grateful I was there to witness their live musical greatness before they fractured away.
Keep it in mind as a unique memory, it maybe feels even better for you to remember it without any photo or video from the moment to look at, only you and what your eyes saw that night...
In 1982 two of our classmates died in a car accident. On the day of their funerals it was raining. This song came on the radio on the way to the church. I always think of them when I hear this song. Two weeks ago it was raining at my uncles funeral and today was the celebration of life for another friend and its been raining all day.! This song brings me comfort for some reason.
Sad. Sorry to hear. None of my classmates died in car accidents but one is in jail for murder and most of the others are recovering alcohol and drug addicts. We're 58-60 now.
This is a wonderful song. In my opinion , the message is every rainy sad day will eventually turn into a sunny happy day; a lesson will be learned and all it takes is your well deserved happiness.
The weather report started out with this song playing this morning. That's because for the last seven weekends it's been raining in NYC. And today is Monday and it's raining again.
I heard this song a million times on the radio as a teenager, but this is the first time I've ever seen the video. I didn't have MTV, so I missed all these 80s videos with their stories.

A beautiful celebration of the human spirit and its ability to overcome pain and loss. This song is pure joy and healing, a gift to the planet from a realm of light. Thank you Supertramp.
What a beautiful song and video. I remember it climbing the charts in early autumn 1982, when I was 14 years old, starting high school, and embarking on a life-changing and life-long frirndship with Alan Greenberg Morse, who passed away in 2014. I dedicate this song to him.
I heard this song on the way home from the hospital where I said goodbye to my mother who had passed away just a couple of hours earlier. I love the song but when I hear it the hurt and sadness is overwhelming.
Sorry you lost the physical part of an amazing being, your mom, yet (coming from experience) I'd say, you didn't lose her love, that will never leave you, and she took yours with her. According to The Book, everything will perish, but love will be forever with no ending... Remember everything about her, her smile, her soft voice, cooking your food, how many times she kissed your boo-boo and you felt better... I know we'll cry for them, but crying is also good, it shows we care, even when it's been a long, long, long time (I was twelve) but then again even when I cry I know I'll be ok, she told me that, with her soft voice, and I felt her love. Have faith, in a dream (this is real) when I was going through a very hard time, and had noone to go to, she came over and my head was on her lap like I used to do when she was here with me and once again, I felt her love, it's been a couple of years of that, her love helped me go through, your mom loves you and love does miracles...
I have just read your comment and feel moved to tears. The pain and sadness must have been terrible for you. So sorry you lost your mum and so recently.

This song brings back many happy memories from 85, I fell in love with an American girl who was here in Liverpool England visiting my family, sadly she is no longer with us, I visited her grave in Ann Arbour Michigan & threw some soil on her grave, she loved Liverpool & it was my way of her having a part of it with her. R.i.p Paula.

Supertramp foi uma super banda que fez muito sucesso aqui no Brasil. Ainda hoje eles são referência de ótimos músicos, compositores de canções mágicas e eternas. Um abraço à todos vocês, fãs. 🎉🫂 ✨🌟 🇧🇷
Love this song from Roger Hodgson : ) It just makes you want to sing at the top of your lungs and see things a brand new way ! It is pure magic to hear him perform it in concert, with all of the happy people around dancing and singing along. Very special experience!
The actress playing the waitress did an excellent job portraying a genuinely empathetic person, as if she could feel his heartbreak with him! Great song. Great video!
I was lucky enough to see Supertramp in concert in Halifax years ago. Absolutely one of the best concert experiences of my life. This song is brilliant and so up beat. If you’re not smiling when listening to this than there’s something wrong with you. 😊
Cheery & bright spirited tune for the moment as raindrops fall down the windowpane! One of my fave encore songs that Roger plays at concerts. My calendar's marked for his Washington state show next Sat. ツ
Everytime it rains, i sing this verse, its rainin again, i forgot ware i got it from. Im just now hearin it for the first time in yrs. Wat a classic song. And i forgot wat a great band they are
So many GREAT memories associated with this song .And I am looking forward to hearing Roger Hodgson perform it on tour this year I will see Roger's concerts in Germany: before I have seen fans bring along umbrellas to sway in the air, adds to the fun.
I can’t get enough of Supertramp music, and even though Supertramp isn’t touring I continue my musical journey through all my favorite songs with the mastermind and voice of Supertramp Roger Hodgson, who is on his World tour and I’m watching my favorite videos until I can see him again this fall in Canada.
what I have noticed about Roger's songs specifically is the theme of encouragement, uplifting, support, understanding. 'Come on you little fighter, and get back up again' helped me up so many times I can't even count. Another one of his songs like that for me is 'Hide in your shell.'
I'd be honored if some Supertramp/Roger Hodgson fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal cover of ITS RAINING AGAIN on my channel in tribute to one of the true masters of modern music. Live acoustic with no digital enhancements. Thanks and please pardon the promo.
This song brings back some bittersweet childhood memories…I heard this song for the first time in summer, and as a lonely teen, fell immediately in love with this gem. I still feel lonely from time to time, but this song really helps me in my darkest times and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Supertramp - It's Raining Again 1932pm 3.7.23 these fiends reo speedwagon and supertramp and the like - that kindda band.... kansas!! have a few numbers which are worthy of playing time and time again. too bad most memories these excellent pop songs conjure are cruddy muddled affairs. anyhow; most nice little pop ditties just remind me of playing football so there's really no point crawling thru my personal archive, now, is there?
Vida longa e feliz a todos integrantes do supertramp. Lindas músicas do tempo de minha infância. Cresce ouvindo eles e já faz 50 anos. Parabéns a todos.
Always a thrill hearing Roger Hodgson play this in concert, his distinct sound and brilliant melodies bring back great memories ... seeing him on his 2015 Breakfast in America World tour again this year another masterpiece " Can you hear what I'm saying? .. Can you see the parts that I'm playing? " Fool's Overture !!!
I was going thru a ruff time in my life when this was on the radio waves. (divorce) But being able to drive my pick-up in the California mountains when I was off work, at night to see the stars of Kern Canyon was awesome! I would sit in the bed of my truck and listen to the radio, and this song was awesome. Made me think that there was an after life sorta speak for me. I will forever love this song, and Supertramp!
Toby!! So right your intuition. The after life--sorta speak---is ALL that matters! The end of this video is all that matters. It will end this way. Love in the first degree!! Just allow God to shine his light on you. The rain will end. Be innocent and childlike. The beaming SUN shines on those such like! Peace and love. P.S.-- get your bowtie out!!
Famous Last Words was the last album Roger Hodgson made with Supertramp. He made it count. This song always moved me in a way very few songs ever could.
A magical song by Roger Hodgson. I love when Roger closes his concerts with this one and everyone sings and dances along at the front of the stage. So much fun!
Does Rick Davies perform with Roger? Ever on New Orleans? Always one of my favorite bands of all times . Saw almost every band I love but never got a chance to see Supertramp!
tengo 53 años, escucho esta bella música del clasic rock desde que tenia 10 años y no me he cansado de ella, es una de las pocas cosas que me hace muy feliz.
@@danisari123 Im 53 years old, i listen to this beautiful classic rock song since im 10 and i have not get tired of her, it's one of the few things that make me happy
I’m 28 years old, but I always loved 1960s-80s songs more than my generation’s 21st century music. Supertramp is one of my most favorite artists, but is sadly overshadowed by other awesome artists like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Beatles etc.; but I nonetheless am I huge fan of Supertramp!
they surely dont.........music today is poor............actually was listening to 'fanfare to the common man' today and was thinking that maybe Ed sheeran should cover it and put lyrics to it, might be a smash..............supertramp songs take me back to my teenage years..........relatively carefree. happy times. thank god for youtube.
It makes me cry as well, though not for memories, but for the sad nature of the song. As this is a break up song, it reminds me of a very hard breakup.
Great one!! So many fantastic hit favs Roger Hodgson wrote- Logical Song, Dreamer, Give a Little Bit, Take the Long Way Home, Breakfast in America are among top-played in my playlist, timeless classics.
La letra es excelente. Ilustra uno de esos días donde no das una, y todo te sale mal, pero al final ese día tan horrible termina y comienza algo bueno, solo hay que levantarnos y seguir.
It was worth all that pain to finish up with a beautiful woman. A superb video. A comment on so many disparate things which happen in this life of ours even on a single day.
I will never tire of this song nor the video. This and “Wildest Dreams” are the two songs/videos from the 80’s that still hit a sentimentality that other songs don’t match.
I was 12 years old when this song was playing loud, I remember that this video always made me sad, seeing everything that went wrong for the hero of the story. Also at the end it made me cry, but with joy because well, after all the sad story had a happy ending. For 40 years this song has awakened intense and mixed feelings in me. I like to believe that even the saddest story can have a happy ending. I love this song and I love this video.
its amazing to me how much joy this song evokes even though it is about a rainy day and losing a friend, encouraging us to fill our hearts and keep shining on like the sun .. : ) hoping Roger Hodgson includes it in his setlist for Moncton or Halifax!
I've always loved Supertramp... and many other amazing bands from that Era. Listening to this song reminds me of a world that is basically long gone. I feel extremely blessed to have grown up in this Era with the best songs, movies and fun. I'd literally get home from school and let the adventures begin... don't even get me started on my summers... parents were at work, and the days were just wide open- running through the woods, biking miles to see my friends, jumping in hot summer pools... just paradise. Never got shot at... had friends of all races.... and life was perfect. Some people say my perspective is skewed because it's viewed from the simple eyes of a child... but, I disagree. Those were the best times ever. Now that I'm a father of 4 year old twins, all I do is think of where can I move to so my kids can grow up with the same fun and freedoms without fears of some pedo, or some pitbull attack, or some texting & driving dufus, or being caught in a random crossfire .... the threats out there now are just insane! I feel like my kids are going to have to conceal carry at 10 years old just to have a fighting chance... its unbelievable what's happening nowadays... weekly pit bull attacks, daily shootings, daily pedos, crazy drivers hundreds of distractions at their fingertips.... and, back to the music- it's just crap now... pure garbage... I mean, just listen to Meghan the stallions lyrics... unreal! And the crazy thing is I see parents singing these types of songs and doing tiktok videos... I saw a video of a family dancing to WAP... I think it means Wet A** Pu**y or something... and this mom is just dancing and singing along like it's sesame street.... Movies- filled with violence and sex! Argghhhh... so frustrating. How do I prepare my kids for this crap... and now we have artificial intelligence looming... seriously... Terminator in effect... for real. I was in the pool with my kids last night. They loved it. We walked home together and sat down to a home cooked meal from mom on a Friday night... I'll just keep them close to me and hope to still be able to foster some sense of independence.
Arguably the most underrated band in history. This track is catchy but by no means one of their best. The albums "Crime of the Century" and "Crisis? What crisis?" are both masterpieces.
Este tema es un verdadero clásico de todos los tiempos, un sonido que te llega al corazón y que no te cansas nunca de escuchar........Ojala volvieran esta clase de grupos inigualables , Supertramp forever...
Saxophone? It must be the eighties, May they live forever.

Precisely why I started my own classic rock radio station and this song figures into the lineup every day
My children, and now my grandchildren have heard my music speech so many times they can recite it.
Hence the old adage "when it rains it pours." Bad things started to happen to him then more bad luck follows. In the end the sun will come out and bad luck will go away.
Rain always revives the soul , with the blessings of sunshine.

It is good for the soul.

Love this song from Roger Hodgson : ) It just makes you want to sing at the top of your lungs and see things a brand new way ! It is pure magic to hear him perform it in concert, with all of the happy people around dancing and singing along. Very special experience!
I agree!!

The actress playing the waitress did an excellent job portraying a genuinely empathetic person, as if she could feel his heartbreak with him! Great song. Great video!
Woohoo can't wait to hear Roger play this one in NY & CT this fall!! His concerts never ever cease to amaze me!!
I was lucky enough to see Supertramp in concert in Halifax years ago. Absolutely one of the best concert experiences of my life. This song is brilliant and so up beat. If you’re not smiling when listening to this than there’s something wrong with you. 😊
Like other supertramp tunes this is a absolute classic . Supertramp had a very interesting sound making them stand alone from anything ever done.
Yes✔
@eleleven3694in other words.. genius
@eleleven3694 Yes, and I love the end where the kids sing "it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." Super cute.
They had a niche' sound in the 80's which defined that era.
Ola! linda...........
Cheery & bright spirited tune for the moment as raindrops fall down the windowpane! One of my fave encore songs that Roger plays at concerts. My calendar's marked for his Washington state show next Sat. ツ
I can't describe how good this song makes me feel not to mention all the humor in the video .
Everytime it rains, i sing this verse, its rainin again, i forgot ware i got it from. Im just now hearin it for the first time in yrs. Wat a classic song. And i forgot wat a great band they are
So many GREAT memories associated with this song .And I am looking forward to hearing Roger Hodgson perform it on tour this year
I will see Roger's concerts in Germany: before I have seen fans bring along umbrellas to sway in the air, adds to the fun.
a great song to bring you back up again. Thanks a million.
Clássico dos anos 80 Supertramp é perfeito muita saudade alguém mais ouvindo está relíquia! Renato rs
We here in Scotland also have great taste in music the utterly fantastic Supertramp with another belter of a song from the glorious 1980’s.
Yes, and we also have a penchant for rain (ust as well!) 😬
Mi hermana se muere por conocer Escocia!
Can any singer mimic his voice? Roger Hodgson you're one in a million.
agreed, very distinct voice and sound!
chitaozinho e chororo
Sounds a bit like Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon
Roger is the best, brilliant Master Musician
I love this song so much it always brings tears to my eyes.
I want it played at my funeral.
Brother Where You Bound
Gotta love this masterpiece…..its uncovers so many emotions, and makes me smile……enjoy this beautiful song folks.

Me 10 times mate
THAT S IT MAN!!
THAT S EXACTLY WHAT I FELL FOR THIS TUNE!!
Thanks for sharing. I feel the same.

Why would one ever stop loving Supertramp! I hope you will have a long way ahead for loving this music ...
Me too.
Keyboards and Saxophones. Love the 80's.
Vida longa e feliz a todos integrantes do supertramp. Lindas músicas do tempo de minha infância. Cresce ouvindo eles e já faz 50 anos. Parabéns a todos.
One of my all-time favourites. Love Supertramp.
"...History recalls how great the fall can be..." goose bumps!
I love Supertramp since the first album!!!!!! They are musical geniuses 🤗♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Every time it rains, I think of this song.
Same here!
Thanks for sharing this brother. Hope your life improved. Wish you the best.
Very good Superband!!
Its Raining Again was recorded
in the Sierra Nevada Mtn town
of Nevada City, CA...no kidding.
Thank You @@docschweitz7606
I love Supertramp. The ultimate feel good music band.
Famous Last Words was the last album Roger Hodgson made with Supertramp. He made it count. This song always moved me in a way very few songs ever could.
When I think of the 80s . really, "It's Raining Again" - the most eightiest song ever.
It's definitely a contender, my vote for ultimate 80s goes to John Parr's "Man in Motion".
A magical song by Roger Hodgson. I love when Roger closes his concerts with this one and everyone sings and dances along at the front of the stage. So much fun!
+Sage Willow Quinn Me too ! I will see Roger in Rotterdam next month :)
Does Rick Davies perform with Roger? Ever on New Orleans? Always one of my favorite bands of all times . Saw almost every band I love but never got a chance to see Supertramp!
Yeah, me too! He really loves to do that! I'm so excited because I get to see him two times this year!

Uma música linda. Trás grandes lembranças ainda em 2022...
When music made sense.
40 years down the line, and I'm still listening to it and humming,at 65..
67, same! Great memories of proper music

Song Reminds me of my childhood, i now cry every time I hear this song
Ageing is so unforgiving.
They don’t make music like this anymore.
they surely dont.........music today is poor............actually was listening to 'fanfare to the common man' today and was thinking that maybe Ed sheeran should cover it and put lyrics to it, might be a smash..............supertramp songs take me back to my teenage years..........relatively carefree. happy times. thank god for youtube.
I agree this song is very emotional, beautiful words of life, a great masterpiece forever
It makes me cry as well, though not for memories, but for the sad nature of the song. As this is a break up song, it reminds me of a very hard breakup.
Special moment when I saw Roger perform this in Brussels last month it will stay with me always ...

Maggie Sullivan on 'Famous Last Words' album also "Don't Leave Me Now", "Know Who You Are", "Crazy" and "C'est le Bon"

I was born in 1971. Fell in love when I was a baby.
Born in 69 here. Woodstock, First Man on the Moon. Best Year ever 😊
I loved Supertramp and this is easily my favourite song of theirs. ❤️
My favorite Supertramp song.
It makes me cry too a very emotional song I think.
you are a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul
What was the letter he read in the cafeteria? He went to LA to find his girlfriend ?
What pretty and wonderful woman ,hello ,my darling ?
Well said!
its amazing to me how much joy this song evokes even though it is about a rainy day and losing a friend, encouraging us to fill our hearts and keep shining on like the sun ..

The sax really lifts this song from good to great.
No, from great to Supergreat.
@@raddguy1 I see what you did thar!
spot on
Not only this song, the entire group
I think it's the "come on you little fighter" part.
Arguably the most underrated band in history. This track is catchy but by no means one of their best. The albums "Crime of the Century" and "Crisis? What crisis?" are both masterpieces.
Agreed! Crime of the Century is just amazing
76 juno do you they were underated? I don't think so....they were so respected in that time.....I love them...
This song indeed was the last time Roger Hodgson as a member of Supertramp would make the Top 20.
I know both roger and rick consider Crisis to be a messy rushed album but it's REALLY good, it's probably one of my favorites
"EVEN IN THE QUIETEST MOMENTS " 1977-2017 .... four decades of a great accomplishment ...
One of their best songs. I love the pace of the song - like a small gentle rain strong. Great lyrics.
The contrast in upbeat music and deeply critical and somber lyrics are always what supertramp stood out. This song is prolly the best at doing thay
Este tema es un verdadero clásico de todos los tiempos, un sonido que te llega al corazón y que no te cansas nunca de escuchar........Ojala volvieran esta clase de grupos inigualables , Supertramp forever...
