I’ve recently purchased one of these scopes and I can certainly say that it is a great optic and I would definitely make the purchase again
I like the sunshades, especially when it's raining (no kidding). It keeps the rain off of the objective; isn't that ironic. The Crossfire makes for a formidable bench/precision shooting scope when mounted on a 22LR, or similar caliber. A scope with a side mounted parallax adjustment is better suited for hunting. The objective mounted parallax adjustment offers no inconvenience on the bench, even though a side mounted adjustment almost always seems to be more convenient. The turrets, even though they're not the taller tactical style target turrets, are easily enough adjusted, while uncapped. In October, 2018, it's (around) $300 American, which is an acceptable price range for a bench shooter, small game hunter or just plain fun. It would be a good idea to get a "pinch cap" for the objective. They're popular in the photographer arena, and they beat messing with that external hinge on an adjustable objective. All in all, it's a good scope, and a good value. Good video.

It's good to see vortex doing a low profile hunting scope, that said I hate the paralax/range adjustment being on the objective lens. It's so much easier in the field to have it as a dial on the left hand side.
