Enjoyable Broads trip on a Seal 22 with a Mirror dinghy rig

  • We booked a week's licence on the Norfolk Broads for the very first day we were allowed to stay away from home out of the lockdown in the UK in 2020. The previous year we took no rig, this year we upgraded to a mirror dinghy rig! Here are a few clips showing a snapshot of the fun. A lovely destination for a family holiday, I do recommend it.

      Yes it's quite a feature that. Last time I went through last june had the tiller pilot on and I stood at the bow and just shifted my weight about to make adjustments was a great evenings entertainment.

      @@backtothebarky And meandering up the river Chet to Loddon, hoping ther is a space to moor up, when you get there, it is a lovely spot though.

      @@alanlake5220 that's the beauty of a small trailer sailer compared to those massive hire craft - can nearly always find a spot to squeeze into. That said last year when I went back there I went to Moor exactly where I am in this thumbnail and there are actually some old posts under the water there I hit this time as the water was lower so you do have to take some care parking in these dodgy places.
