I wish this becomes an official language again in lebanon someday, I know it may be just a daydream but remember as a real lebanese this is your Identity as well.. and it's important to learn it and keep it.
    Amazing work, keep it up❤

I want to learn to speak the Phoenician language! It would be interesting if this ancient language becomes an official alternative to the Arabic language in Lebanon, similar to the revival of Hebrew (: Thanks and please upload more videos about them, I am Lebanese who loves learning about our (and others') Phoenician past ❤ !!

Phoenocian isnt lebanese. It was spoken on shores of greater syria including what is now lebanon. Im a native syrian from coastal region and find labelling languages by modern political borders a huge shame.

While Phoenicia did include lands currently located in Syria & Palestine, the majority of the lands were inside what is currently Lebanon, and the capital city was Tyre in the south.

@@husseinmorobeid sure the center cities were in modern day lebanon but they had no formal capital because it was not a unified "phoenician country" but rather city states that at times ally and sometimes be at odds, the phoenicians never called themselves by that name, but rather related to the city they came from, i.e. sidonians, tyrians, byblians, arwadites, amriths, the all were canaanite cities with the city of ugarit also being a cultural center, after the demise of ugarit, the cultural glow shifted to cities opposite to lebanon mount simply because they were geographically protected from the bronze age collapse that ugarit suffered. so in a nutshell phoenician culture was never a lebanese or syrian culture, but levantine.

Thanks for the revitalization of the Phoenician. I am from the province of Zyz today Palermo. Could you make more videos on the Punics and the texts found in Sicily. Do you have a mobile phone keyboard to recommend and some texts to study to learn it? I would be happy to recover my roots cultural.

Phoenicians is a name given by modern academics. It has nothing to do with real history. They probably referred to themselves as Cannanites or arabs (judging from the language).

@@FadyMozaya in fact tanit is berbero Phoenician . The name it self might be of berber origin it's starts with t and it ends with t . There is another problem that I think that you as libanese are not aware of it . There is a movement in North Africa that wants to associate the arabization of the region with the fact it was Phoenician which is completely wrong. Anyway thanks for the very fruitful lessons I hope that I might participate with you especially that I'm a berber and a Hebrew speaker .
