That's how to make proper toys. They last, and don't break if someone coughs too loud. They were toys that worked best with an area of dirt in the garden that was yours, and imagination. That's how my brother and I spent hours and hours.

@@grahamhurst4613 like you I've still got my set but the gun also fires. It's survived well even if it is a tad chipped but with my centurion the tracks have stretched over the years and keep coming off. I may need to invest in some after market replacements. Pretty sure that they must be available.

Tambien tiene dinky toys....me llego al corazon ❤❤❤❤ yo tambien tengo todas esas piezas tanto inglesas como francesas ,corgi sobrevivio hasta hoy con piezas muy bellas. Los cañones de dinky eran excelentes daban mucho juego.Eran obras de arte de juguete.

I am lucky to still have these Dinky and Corgi toys. They have lasted a long time and seen a lot of battles in the garden. Nice to hear you have French Dinky I do not have those. Thank you for your lovely comments

Centurion is always to go in forwards with turret to rear... grandad used to do that for a living... if you have a dinky chieftain you will find that that the antars flatbed actually locks with it in transit position as it is accurate to scale.. this doesn't happen with the centurion model as its mostly loose track with a few runners but they made a special effort when the much later models were released..
