- I've been interested in this shooting for a while, and decided to make an animation of it. It took a while, mostly because I had to make everything but the cafe from scratch (there was no map). Not everything is perfect, though, and I had to make a some inferences based on the information given.

I would say everybody in this situation is undeniably unlucky
these really bring lots of light to the situations, it makes the situation much more difficult but gives the victims needed recognition
Was this guy trained or something? Never really seen a mass shooting with so many headshots and neck shots like this
I've heard it's just due to the close proximity of the attack, where the farthest shot was probably around 10 feet away. The shooter wasn't very accurate unless he was relatively close (at most 30 feet or so) to whomever he shot.

@@B3D5X a AR-15/ar platform rifle is not a weapon of war. A weapon of war is something that kills a large amount of people quickly and effectively, such as ordnance fired from a plane. Someone very skilled with a bow and arrow could kill alot of people with it, does that mean its a weapon of war? Banning AR-15 and rifles is the lazy way instead of finding the real issue. You ban ar15s, what happens next? People use handguns or shotguns in mass shootings. Then those get banned, then what do people use? Knives and machetes, and a black market is created for firearms. If someone drank 6 bottles of alcohol then got into his car and ran somebody over, should we ban cars?
The Texas tower shooting from the 60s would be interesting and I imagine with the documentaries and witness accounts you would be very accurate, its almost entirely from a "sniper" tower so might be difficult to get the perspective correct but would be different
I have thought about doing this. But, with the shooter not leaving the top of the observation tower, it would both be hard to do and, in my opinion, uninteresting to watch

@@62squad the shooting happened at very close range, its not that hard to believe someone with an AR-15 can kill a bunch of people at close range in a short amount of time. Not to mention, Bryant had been shooting since he was a kid.

This is the one shooting where no option is safe. If you ran like the mother and her kids you'd die. If you were hiding in the cafe or gift shop you're dead. If you're outside by the busses dead. Driving nearby dead. No area is safe
The “safest” people were the ones driving past the shooter as theyre going faster than the people can, therefore less potential to be fatally hit
As a Tasmanian resident at the time, I appreciate the effort made in animating and narrating the process. One quibble, you have access to the buses on the wrong side of the vehicle in the animation. As a further note, Martin Bryant remains in solitary confinement, at Risdon Prison. They will never let him out into the general prison population unsupervised, as he will not survive for very long (shooting innocent children will do that). Thanks for the animation.
They released a rare picture of him last year… he looks completely different 😳 his hair is now black, curly and greasy, and he gained a lot of weight because he refuses to exercise now. The guards like to call him “Porky Pig” so he’s even more of a pathetic hot mess than he was before.

Thank you :) if I can find enough information about Virginia Tech, I will. But, with the current information, I'd have to make a lot of guessing, which takes away from the accuracy of the animation.

For some reason I find these very interesting and entertaining so you should make more like virginia tech, the recent shooting in Canada , or the luby's cafe
I might do this, but I'm unsure as to whether or not I'll have enough information on all of those to make an animation without compromising the accuracy.

The identity of the shooters is not known. Mossad is #1 suspect. They routinely murder Palestinian children with no remorse. Killers without borders. As for Martin Bryant, he was just the patsy, didn't shoot anyone, coerced by his corrupt lawyer into false guilty plea.

He was shooting from the hip and most of the victims were seated or staying still on the floor. His kill wound rate is pretty believable.

Yes! Please ! I remember when it happend I was in HS and it amazed me how he executed 32 ppl all on their knees. Its def one of the least covered mass shootings . Much appreciated

When I watch these, I always imagine what I would do, but it's impossible. This sort of violence is unpredictable, unfair and the worst evil of humanity and I cannot understand why devices of such hurt would be sold freely.

His mom said on 60 minutes he had Aspergers. The Dunblane elementary school massacre just happened shortly before this as well, I never even heard of dunblane till this case, all 5 year old victims & staff almost 20 of them. so Terrible man.
Mm-hm. Plus, I think that Martin may have been partially inspired by the Hungerford massacre in England back in August of 1987 as Hungerford and Port Arthur are eerily similar.
Martin Bryant is now currently serving life in prison as of this year with no chance of ever getting out

I think it'd be hard to do Utøya because I don't really know the how the whole event transpired in terms of where, specifically, the shooter was, and where the dead were at the time. But, I haven't really researched it much, so, if I find enough information on it, I'll consider making it

@@SarinGasAttack Okay, thanks. Hungerford was one of the worst tragedies to occur in Great Britain during the 1980's. The other two tragedies are the 1985 Bradford City Football Stadium fire and the 1987 fire at King's Cross Station in London.

If I had a request it'd be the Virginia Tech massacre. I know u said u think u can't find much on where the victims were and how they died but I know he locked them all in the big stage room(or whatever they are called) and he executed them all one by one - all on their knees except maybe a few ppl but most of them were on their knees in a line . I'm sure u can find out though.

I do really want to do the Virginia Tech massacre. However, I don't think you're describing the Virginia Tech massacre. The shooter in that went into classrooms and shot people; he didn't lock people in an auditorium and execute them one by one.

What chilled me most was the death of the two kids. One was literally a baby, blasted her like she was nothing. Then the next girl, walked right up to her and put the weapon to her neck. This dude was a nasty motherfucker.

This took place in a pretty rural area, and there were only two officers in the area at the time. They approached the site after hearing an emergency call about the shooting, but were shot at as they passed by Seascape. They blocked off the road and stayed there, and more more police went to the actual historical site shortly after.

I'm currently working on the 2019 Yom Kippur Shooting that happened in Halle, Germany. You might have heard of it because a livestream of it was widely distributed. I'm nearly done with it now, but I don't know what the next one will be on yet.

I did the Stoneman Douglas shooting in a prior video. I might do the Dunblane shooting, but I haven't researched it at all.

Thanks! I don't think there's a clear reason as to why he attacked the historical site. However, it's believed that he blamed the Martins for his father committing suicide, and killed them in revenge.

He is currently in prison, and I believe it is the Risdon Prison in Hobart, Tasmania.
I think one of them ran out to confront the shooter. I don't think that either of the two men knew the severity of the situation, and likely thought that they could reason or subdue the shooter. All of the occupants of the vehicle were told by a man farther down the road to turn back, so they did. They parked their car where they did to tell others driving down the road not to approach the historical site. They didn't know that the shooter was driving until it was too late.

I assume you're talking about the shrapnel. It includes bone fragments, deformed bullets, and glass. I don't really know much about ballistics, so I'm not sure how why they fragmented, if they did.

I don't think I can unless I can find where people were sitting when they were injured and/or died.

A few did, but most did not. I think it's mainly due to shock, and because the shooting in the cafe happened so quickly, not many people had time to react rationally, if at all.
There was only one entrance to the cafe, the fire exit was blocked.
What are you making after the final columbine animation? And what program do you use to make these?
Maybe you could try to do something with the Thailand massacre? Christchurch may be interesting too. Also your videos are very informative!
I use Blender to make and animate these. I don't plan on doing the final columbine animation right away, but I'm thinking about doing the Luby's shooting next. It's not definite, though.
I don't really know much about the Thailand massacre, and I don't really think Christchurch would be feasible because not everybody who was shot at was shot, and not everybody who was shot was killed, so, just from the livestream, it's hard to tell who died, who was injured, and who was uninjured.

I’m astonished by how accurate his aim was...
Yeah, it's pretty surprising, but he was only a few feet away from his victims on average, so it's still understandable. The most impressive feat, in my opinion, was the timescale that he accomplished this in.
Martin Bryant:
*was not positively identified at the scene of the crime - no eye witnesses identified him BEFORE they were influenced by media pictures, and eye witnesses who declared he was not the killer were never called at trial. A true trial by media. And also a doctored photograph of Bryant was published to make his eyes look crazy. And the photographs published were not officially released photographs either, and it is unclear how these were acquired, due to lack of transparency by the media, even when asked.
* was not identified by any fingerprint or DNA evidence at the scene.
* was not positively linked with the weapons used in the crime.
* Had an alibi having been seen by others at another location (shell service station having a coffee, 50KM away), at the time the crime was committed.
* Only admitted to the crime after several months in illegal solitary confinement and sensory deprivation.
* Was denied legal counsel in his initial interview despite repeated requests and lied to and verbally entrapped by police.
* Was being represented by his lawyer that was in a massive conflict of interest as he was also representing the gun store owner and was actually attempting to get said owner to testify AGAINST Bryant, by offering him immunity from any prosecution of gun-related sales laws.
* Had been declared intellectually incompetent (with an IQ of only 66) in an earlier unrelated court hearing to manage his own financial affairs and so should not have been fit to plead in the later criminal case.
* According to many experts including Ted Serong, former head of Australian forces in Vietnam, did not have anything like the shooting skills required to commit the crimes of which he was charged.
* Had his inherited financial assets illegally seized by the state using retrospective legislation preventing him from hiring a lawyer of his own, and so never had a day in court when any of the substantive issues of the case could be tested - his ‘trial’ was simply a sentence hearing.

I'd say I probably won't for the same reason I won't make one on the 1966 University of Texas shooting: it won't be interesting to see because the shooter doesn't move much.

You should do not the boston bombing but the shootout that happened with the brothers and the cops 6 days after it, you can find all the information (the cops locations, the brothers location, the shots fired, the route the elder officer took to shoot the older brother and the route the younger brother drove and ended up on the boat) on news outlets and various sources along with the movie, and you can even find the interviews of the officers and the eyewitnesses, that would make a sick animation

I probably will not be able to, as there's no real information regarding the location of people when they were injured and/or killed.

I might do Kerch, because I'm interested in it. The problem is that I don't know where the victims were, and would have to guess, which I don't want to do. If more information is found, I might do it one on it.
Also here's just a tip that I forgot to mention is that just it'd more interesting if you could put the bullet shells and the Magazine details in the video Just saying.
Yeah, I do plan on it, I only do it when I know where mostly everything is. In this shooting, I don't really know when the shooter reloaded, or where the shell casings were, except for the Cafe.

I think it's because it happened in Australia, as the news didn't travel too far worldwide; I'm sure it's extremely well-known there, much like how Columbine is in the USA.

Which shooting do you plan on making an animation on next?
The Halle shooting that happened on Yom Kippur in 2019. It was livestreamed in a similar way to Christchurch.

So, considering it's a relatively short shooting, I can probably get it done within a month or two, compared to Port Arthur, which took around 6.
I already have half of it animated fully, with the other half not even close to being done, so it's probably 33% done. I'm gonna try to get it done within a month from now, but I can't guarantee anything.
Where's the police at?
The police never showed up to the location Bryant was until several minutes after he holed himself up in the Seascape cottage.

Not really, if you can tie your shoe, you can point a rifle and shoot someone from 4metres away, especially if you have been shooting since you were a child.
