      Yes you didn't misinterpret, I am an F2P! But well, part of my success is thanks to me playing during launch and taking advantage of the newly sprouting economy. During the first days, 1k FCoins was worth merely a few million :d After that you'd just wait for the items' value to simply increase with time.
      Managing that stack afterwards comes down to simply merching, selling the stuff in a higher ratio than FCoins go for and repeat the process for steady flow of money ^^

      Power Dice actually used to be a thing before Sunstones and Moonstones, but they reintroduced dice here in Universe again x) Something that's not mentioned in this video (because it's outdated) is that sunstones and moonstones are a thing again, but I believe they're used for weapon stat reforging in the latest update (Level 150 weapons) :P

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The reason why the menu looks different is because it had an update soon after this video was released so the UI is outdated :)
      The key difference here is that the upgrading menus now REQUIRE you to use protection scrolls, essentially turning them to interfaces meant for "safe upgrading". However if you wanted to avoid using a scroll for whatever reason, you can now just double-click the upgrade material (PD8/10 in the case of piercing) and then just clicking the item you wanna pierce. Note that you will still have to have potential upgrade materials in hand with general and elemental upgrading, and it will tell which one(s) you are missing when you attempt it ^^
      I'm not sure what you mean with the menus choosing your items and not being able to use them, so I'm assuming that what I stated above is gonna help with that. If you run into anymore issues and wish to elaborate better, do let me know!

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm thinking about making a guide about dungeons in due time, but not anytime soon :) I can do drop chances too but the problem with market prices is an issue since that's volatile to change and all servers price them differently... I think that would just turn out to be really confusing x.x Definitely in the plans though!! ^^

    Couple of questions...
    When i try to upgrade i dont have any options to add material like minerals or erons, it just shows Sprotect and Sfusion tabs nothing else. is there a reason for that?
    Also maybe i missed it but whats SFusion?
    Sorry if they were explained and i missed it...

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there, @fall3nn3rd58! :) I've been meaning to make a video about this in the coming weeks, but the 1.3 update came with an upgrading system overhaul which is obviously going to cause confusion. Hope I can get that video done soon x)
      What you need to do now is to go to the Upgrade tab in the upgrading menu and insert your item, dice/card and then an appopriate upgrade scroll. Only then will it show how much materials you will need for an upgrade, unlike before. You can now perform unsafe upgrades from +1 to +3 without a scroll directly from your inventory by simply double-clicking the dice/card and then clicking the item you want to upgrade. You'll still need the materials though, so I recommend having a scroll in your inventory to see in the upgrade menu what materials you're going to need. It doesn't show when upgrading from inventory at all :/ Just to make it a little easier though, you need 10 of each for +1, 14 for +2 and 20 for +3.
      I'm honestly not completely sure about this and I in fact did NOT mention this, but I believe SFusion is the spot where you can use a smelting scroll for increased upgrade chances until +7, or is related to weapon quality conversion (like regular 120 weapons to Bloody weapons). I'll look into it later, but it's generally not something you need to be worried about :)

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey again! I now confirmed it, SFusion is the smelting scroll that increases the upgrade chances up until +7 slightly. Not a really desired item though :)

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is also due to the fact because the servers are so young :> The game was only released last year, so there's still much room for changes in the economy for the future! But even now, things are surprisingly manageable for a F2P player, and even just simple grinding can go far with enough time invested into it. And also, Violets have a small chance of dropping scrolls too which makes them fairly accessible even in the future x)
      Welcome back to the game though, and hope you'll enjoy your experience! :D

      @@Pyrografpl Hehe, thanks! :) And yeah, the game after all was supposed to be mostly homage to the old game that people originally loved, so not that much change was pushed forward. I personally think that's fine though, I came to enjoy Flyff and that's what I got, and not a potentially ruined mess of a game that it was once was. It's up to individual preference, but Flyff Universe is pretty much everything I hoped from the game once I first started playing it :D

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've honestly been making some subsections related to moneymaking in the efforts of making a comprehensive moneymaking guide once all the building blocks are together (so people can dive deeper if they find a method they like). Right now though there isn't one, BUT there's a couple things I can suggest you right away!
      Quest items are a very effective way to make money early on, depending on the server of course. Low level quest items are high in demand though and most veterans will rather buy them than farm them, and in here the quantity pays :)
      A little bit more laborious but consistent would be farming catchers or berries. You can get yourself a cheaper collector for just 100k for materials from a general store or a harvesting glove for 500k from a pet tamer. With a little searching and effort, the amount of money people are willing to pay for these commodities builds up pretty quickly as an early player and the tools will pay themselves back really quickly! Slap some PD8s to make them work faster and more productive, and you can save up for any equipment that you might want pretty effectively ^^
      Another thing you can do is also start hunting some giants and farm some weapons. Especially at 45s a lot of the weapons tend to go for high marks (again refer to the market in your own server) and one lucky drop can set you up quite a significant amount! The drop rates are low, but you only need one good drop to cover a huge part of the expenses that goes to gearing up for level 60 :D
      Lastly, if you consider yourself savvy with stats and numbers, you should definitely get into merchanting (buy low/sell high method). After exploring prices in shops enough you should be able to catch on some trends and catch cheap produce from the rest - with some start-up capital from questing, you can start picking up on some anomalies and sell them again for their intended price - without doing basically anything! :P
      There's more methods to make money in this game, but these are the ones I'd consider more plausible for an early start. I hope one of these or perhaps more caught your eye, and that you can afford your new gear in good time! ;)
      EDIT: I don't have videos about all of this stuff, but I have a video about giant hunting and I talk about berry harvesting in my pet guide. You should check them out if the said methods caught your interest :)

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! There is a new system, and I have to make a video about it next week. You NEED an upgrade scroll in the menus now in order to use them, even at +1. But you can now also perform upgrading without the menu by double-clicking the dice/card and then clicking the upgradable item. You will still need materials though, so in case you're not sure what they are, just go in the upgrade menu and place a scroll to see what materials are required for the upgrade! :)

      Upgrading is definitely something you get more into around 60s, but do remember to take advantage of elements if you can. They're fairly cheap with your budget, and help a lot with damage if you focus on the fighting elementally weak enemies ^^ Gl reaching level 60!!

    pay 2 win for beginners

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is pay 2 win whether you're a beginner or not, but you don't have to spend big bucks or any bucks at all to just play the game :) Things that you can typically afford to do as a F2P are more than enough to make it in the game, and later on you might even be able to wear some expensive gear too with all the money you've gathered! The only moment you'd really care about the P2W aspect is if you wanted to be competitive in the form of PvP guild sieges or taking part in the top guilds, but that's mostly in the minority and not a major aspect of the game.
      Make your own decision based on that, but I understand the fact that not everyone wants to play a game where money speaks the best ^^
