Note that for string sets with a wrapped G, the factory saddle is carved the wrong way. (The factory saddle works fine for thin strings where the G is un-wrapped). There are a couple of solutions, you can carve a saddle for it, or just use a TOM bridge and adjust to your liking. I am tend to use heavier flats, and have done it both ways to get acceptable intonation.
Wonderful demo Gavin . I bought a 403 from NStuff a couple of years ago , now have the 503 with the Seth Lover pup, sounds great out of my Fender DRRI amp . Your playing is so representative of what this guitar can do . Kindest regards Rick St Jean Prescott On .
@D Smiddy That device would look hideous on a beauty like this. Redesigning the headstock takes very little effort. No crazy retooling like they would probably lead us to believe.
Late to the party, but they have redesigned the headstock on their semihollow guitars to be very sleek and have good string angles behind the nut, with no tuning stability issues. That said, the archtops desperately need to follow suit
Really great sound when volume rolled back. Were your settings volume 4-5 out of 10? was the tone all the way up? What amp tone settings did you use. Wonderful sound from that Kent Armstrong pickup.
It is always a good surprise to listen to a reviewer who is able to play the guitar decently.
Wow! Fantastic playing and a great sounding guitar
Best tune ever.. thanks for a great demo with a great guitar and tune..
Very nice playing & beautiful guitar.

Nice playing. Seems like a great guitar. :)
Nice version.
I have the eastman 372. This 503 with its solid carved top sounds really good. And your guitaring is very inspiring.
Dimensions? What's it sound like unplugged?
I tried this, loved it but the pick guard seemed high and in the way of my right hand, kept running into it.
NICE !!!!!!!!
What is the depth?
Very nice playing! What is the name of this tune?
Round midnight by monk
Great demo as usual, Nstuff! Also, Gavin looks like he dropped a few pounds. You can really see it in the face. Keep up the good work Gavin!
Scale length?

@@kikodasneves1 Thanks.
Eastman needs to address the nut to tuning post problem. Strings are touching the other strings' tuning posts. Everything else is beautiful.

Has this been fixed now on the arch top?

I agree. I don't tend to favor the Kents vs the SDs in their products, but this one has an interesting voice.
