Was spinning for sea trout today with the worst conditions, Not one cloud to be seen, Every cast or every second cast had a fish on, normally only get 5 a day today had near 20, Weird stuff, also do u crush the barb down on your lures still?

Good stuff well done that’s great fishing. For the river yes for the small trout. I don’t crush the barbs on my lake trout lures, we fish competitions and tournaments, it would be pointless with barbless lures, losing a big ferox in a big tournament due to barbless hooks would be a crime. 😀👍

Takes years of practice to be able to get them consistently, stick at it. I’ve fished this particular lake for 23+ years, practicing loads of techniques in the worst/best conditions, it’s all about the time you put into it, no shortcuts really. 🤝
