I’m sorry Sean, but I will never make it through life if I don’t see you for a week. It would like being in limbo! Even if it’s only five minutes, please try and put in an appearance for me. I too live alone but don’t get out much. I’m waiting for a hip and knee replacement. But with the NHS waiting lists as they are, how long is a piece of string? I don’t know what it is exactly and can’t manage to put my finger on it, but I adore all your videos and have come to depend on them. The cats, the cooking, the shed, and all the wanderings and wonderings, the purchases, the whole caboodle. You have the human touch and I adore you Sean.
Hi there, I get where you are coming from. I'm a very lonely person too and you're right. Sean always cheers me up and I check every morning fir a video of his xx God bless
Its hard to verbalise what attracts us to watch Sean's videos. Can only speak for myself, but, for me, the reason why is because he gives meaning and purpose to his life by giving his time to things that matter to him both at home and in the community. Nothing extraordinary in itself, but he does this in such a slow and calm way so you feel the savouring of his life. Its palpable. A lot of folk, due to work, family pressures etc.), don't manage to find the time. This is understandable. No one is passing judgement. I was there myself while rearing my children. Thanks to Sean, I'm incentivised to drink in every precious moment. I hope you eventually have your operations and manage to get out a bit to help assuage the loneliness. It can't be easy for you right now. Take care. ❤
@@noreenlawlor3700 What a lovely, affirming comment! Regards!
Exactly!
I sure hope you can get on a couple of times. You are like my cup of tea.
My grandmother always covered her lidless bowls with a saucer or a plate depending on the size needed, and then because the plates or saucers were flat, she could stack covered container on top of covered container in layers. Great space saver!
I still do that... oh dear, showing my age now!
@@coloursofnature-artme to I still do that. Mustbe an old thing.
I still do that :-) Learned it from my gran.
Yes a week off is in order,so you can properly relax and enjoy your friends company.
If you have a small side plate, you can put it on top of the bowl which lid broke. It will keep the food from drying out, and also prevent smells from escaping or being absorbed into the food
Yes, i have my cutlery in same order. I missed your magnets straight away, fridge looks bare now. Have a great week with your friends
What lovely plates Sean. I think they are super .I go from left to right knives, forks, spoons . . Have a lovely time with your friends and hopefully the weather will be kind . .
Yes, I have my cutlery in the exact way Sean. Enjoy your week with friends.
Hi Sean, enjoy your friends, take a break and do as you please for a while..
I’m a widow when I live alone my sons and daughters come visit and check on me quite often but I listen to your streams some of them over and over again sometimes all day just to hear someone talking and your conversations are so good
I don't know why it is, but it's always the lids of corning ware that I wind up breaking too...I hate it because they are so hard to replace anymore. Seems I'm not alone, a lot of people must have the same issue. I don't know what it is about you, Sean...whether it's your "take life as it is" attitude or something else, but I dearly love your videos! Enjoy your company next week...no biggy about taking a week off filming. Thank you so much for sharing too. Blessings♥
Loving the new plates. Have a break and enjoy the time with your friends walking in the mountains hope the rain stays away for you all 😊
Grapefruit lol 😂 still there. I love a day pottering at home x
I have a few of those Pyrex dishes. I’ll try and send you one across the pond. Mine have blue cornflowers on them..
I still have some pyrex dishes that my beloved dad bought me for my "bottom drawer" when i was 16, im 66 now!!
That's delightful. I'm 64, and my Mom did similar things for me. I see families starting to can and collect things for their kids as was done for us. Blessings to you.
My cutlery draw is arranged just like yours and yes, I've noticed that you are looking slimmer. Keep it up😊
I thought so, too! Good eye!
My cutlery is mixed up and "wrong" because the available drawer is too narrow. I've got long bread knives on the left, chefs knife tucked in front. Then running front to back, knives, forks, spoons, odd / loose items. If I can close and open the drawer I call it a win.
Maybe it's time I stop keeping enough for four people when I'm single and 60.
I do baking and do search in charity shop for nice plates looks lovely with cakes on ❤
Welsh dark skies are the best 🌑 the plates are v nice. Have a great week 😊 ⛰️
You have a definite easy charm, a writers verbal ability, and are sharing experiences we all can relate to. Remember that moving is one of the biggest stresses we can endure. You are still settling in, in so many ways. We out here, are getting a glimpse into a different culture, Wales, and a good picture of what a small town looks like. As a gardener, I appreciate the planning and struggle you are going through with your own homestead. Please know we appreciate everything you do and explore.
I don’t sleep 4 hours a night wish I cauld ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Haha proper Welsh dark 🌌 I like that Sean 😀
Concerned about your dripping kitchen sink tap. Maybe just a washer needs replacing. Will add a lot to your water bill over time 😢.
Hi Sean
Hope all is well with you I just luv the plates very nice hope you enjoy your break with your friends it will do you good take care luv Sadie xxx
Those plates are fab. My cutlery draw arrangement is much the same as yours but I put wooden spoons and spatulas in a victorian stone jar to save draw space. Have a good week off 😊
If I go on a holiday, first thing I do, have to sort my cutlery in same order as you
Sorry for this but my ocd is going crazy, you didnt dry the plates before putting them in the cupboard, i dont mean to moan but im thinking of you, this could cause a bacteria growth without you knowing and could cause a food illness when you come to use the plates... love your videos but just had to say something ❤
I've never dried mine in 50 odd years...no ill affects 😊
Dark skies get very dark here in New Zealand, near where I live there is a star park, an area of minimal light pollution where people come from all over the world to enjoy the clear and starry nights.
You’ve got me drinking tea now Sean, I bought a little strainer that I put my leaf tea in (English Breakfast) and I must say Delicious!!! Never was much of a tea drinker but now well what can I say… Bootiful 😂
Hi Sean, I love those plates really pretty! 👍🏻
Re your "diet" I'm doing a similar thing and yes can definitely see a difference you are winning the battle!
Re the Grapefruit cut it in half across the stalk and sprinkle sweetner on - they are lovely like that! Then use a teaspoon to eat the segments!
Re my cutlery drawer, I have it from left to right big spoons and knives etc then knife, fork, spoon as in the poem... Knife, fork, spoon, spear because I find easier to remember where they go! 😅
I did wonder what you're done re the fridge magnets - good idea!
Anyway, hope you have a lovely time with your friends from London and enjoy the break from us lot! We'll still be here when you return! Take care, until next time. 🙂 Just spotted I can't spell fork so corrected it oops! 😅
Hi Sean,
I love your new dishes. Yes if you can try to get 2 more or each plates you bought. If one breaks at least you have an extra. You can always use as a serving dish for your lovely Sunday dinners you so enjoy. Will miss your videos but, take some time off to relax you so deserve it. See you next week not going anywhere. May the weather treat you well. Take care my friend🌺🌸🌺
Please do a Waitrose haul..😃
A week, what shall we do.Have a good time with your friends. Try and take it easy. 🐞
I do have the same cutlery layout in my cutlery drawer! I noticed in a prev video I also have the same green cutlery tray ha. You deserve a break, have a break week off if you decide to, and hope some of your energy comes back :)
Have a nice time with your friends. Friends are important so take a week of and feel free to enjoy yourself and relax.
Hello. My cutlery is forks on the left and spoons on the right. All knives go in the back. Two questions for you..will we get to take a walk up on the mountain with you soon? Secondly, have you already planted the special grasses you bought..where did they go at the homestead? Maybe you can hire someone to clear out the brambles and brush behind the shed to the river. Say hello to the cats.
Thank you Sean it's lovely to see you chatting in the kitchen xx😊
Just a note...if you are on cholesterol tablets by any chance, you should not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice. It causes a build up in the system when you mix.
I’m not.
@@seanjamescameron great news, long may it stay that way!!
This also applies to anything containing activated charcoal. It does things like cancel out medications.
My physician told me not to eat grapefruit now that I am on thyroid meds because they cancel out the meds. Sad, because I love grapefruit and had been having a half one every morning with my breakfast!
I like watching you putter around in your little kitchen. You are very much a putterer and you have puttering down to an art. No one putters around better than an Englishman. So relaxing. Enjoy your upcoming visitors.
Am not an Englishman so don’t know who you are watching.
Hes a proud Welsh man, if you don't mind me saying Sean.
😊 easily mistaken if one is an overseas viewer, as he speaks beautiful English, but by the melodious accent, one might tell he is Welsh and was born in Wales.
A Welshman ...and I bet he sings beautifully in the bath ha ha 🛀
nice video sean
Take as long as you need
Take care of yourself and see you soon. Enjoy, your time with your friends and get plenty of rest and relaxation. Bye for now. x p.s. the plates are lovely. I love the too good to waste shop.
Good morning Sean, the plates are very pretty, I also have a lid less pyrex dish,I just cover mine with tin foil to stop food drying out,( I can't part with it as it was my mum's) I know what you mean about the little shard's of glass, I was still finding bits for ages afterwards, being clear glass it has a habit of playing hide and seek until your foot finds it 🥴 at least if I dropped the remaining dish I would find it easier as it's white with iris's on it.Hope the weather stays nice for you when you show your friends round,no doubt too good to waste will be on the list of places to go 😂 take care Sean and enjoy your break 💜
Spoons on the right then knives middle forks at left. Teaspoons in front. Be interesting to know what people do.
Don’t forget Sean, raw milk doesn’t last as long as pasteurised milk, so just keep checking it’s ok to use.
Morning Sean, have a great week off and hopefully you will not feel so tired, it must be a lot when putting up your shed and tending your homestead with everything else.
Love the plates, I would of snapped them up as well, enjoy your break with friends, and also your own space , will do you good, you will be refreshed, just take your time, you don’t have to rush things, the world is your own oyster, and don’t have to answer to anyone but yourself, relax ❤
Sorry the lid broke for your dish, but you can put a small plate over the top to put it in the fridge ...I do that all the time....bless you for sharing. Enjoy your company have fun we will be here.
Personally, I wouldn't buy any more of those particular plates. For now, you have two sets to use which also require space in a cupboard and, when folk donate their old ones to buy new ones at Christmas, you might just find some more that are just as nice. Always keep your options open, that's my motto when it comes to brocante 😉🍽️
Not in this house Sean, knives to the left, spoons in the middle and forks on the right D:
Enjoy your time out with your friends Sean, spend time with them showing around the beautiful countryside that surrounds you, show them the waterfalls and fairy pool and I’m sure they will come to love the area as much as you do and will want to come back time and time again.
Looking forward to your next film…..
“whenever that may be !” 😉
All the best.
Richard.
good morning Sean have a great time take a some time to enjoy where you are .😀
awww, will miss you but have a great week, see you soon!!!
n, I theink they call the big plate, a PLATTER ☕
Thank you Sean I did the same on Saturday it was a busy week and I just had to take time out and potter at home it does you good to just do that as you can go on burn out if you just keep going have a great week catching up with your friends .x
Great video as usual. The 'bedside table' you bought was a perdonium - it was a trade name for a type of coal-box or coal-scuttle that had a removable metal lining. This allowed the messy and noisy work of refilling it to take place away from the firesides of the nineteenth-century middle classes! I'm actually restoring one at the moment for my channel!!
Will show it when I return after my week off.
@@seanjamescameron That would be great, I'd never heard of them until I got the one to refurbish from a flea market in Cardiff, now I've come across them twice in a week!!
Whatever you decide, Sean, We will always be here.❤
You can always you tin foil as a lid for your dish, then if you have got things to bake, you can leave foil on aswel.👍😎
It should say, (USE ) tin foil!!! 🤦♀️😂😂😎
Hey Sean, maybe it's time you give your grapefruit a name! 😊
going to miss you. Enjoy your visitors.
Morning 😊
Have a lovely week, we will miss you and your videos soooooooo much. ❤
Shit, I am goding to miss you! But have a nice and relaxing time with your friends Sean. Hugs from Gotland, Sweden 🤗
Hi, Sean, my cutlery is in a horizontal set up with knives first.
I have inside my tall cupboard a cup hook unit i put up myself and also one for the cooking utensils I use, this does save lots of space. On the door of the base unit i have pan lid holders, these are great for saving lots of space in the cupboard.
Just picked my first French runer beans, very slow and poor this year.
I'm feeling worse for wear today as I have had Covid for the past 5 days, so i have sat and listened to you over and over. I never get fed-up of listening, you have a very calming voice. Thanks so much.
My daughter had a long day with voting, 6.15am-11pm. She was checking people in etc. She is a JP.
THANKS again, Sandra. RHYL 😊
😊
'Proper dark.'
Dark as coal.👍
Temu has very affordable storage containers. I think you might enjoy looking through their storage solutions. Returns are very easy.
Yup cutlery set up the same....😅
Have you ever tried to make butter again? That was fun to watch 😊
Not yet.
Have a beautiful time with your friends, keen to hear how much you enjoyed yourselves. Some *me* time is always important.
I will miss the journey but please do take care of yourself ❤
Hi Sean like your plates etc..bootiful. You won't smash those you've got no need for extra... Enjoy time with your friends next week. Aaw please try and film next week we'll miss you if you don't.
I do love the plates. The pattern is nice and reminds me of your love for 💐
How do I manage my time through the week without getting a update from you 😢 well I hope you’re okay and make a lot of film 🍿
Have fun, see you on your return
So, I started watching this video Sean just before we left to fly out here to Canada to visit our son and future daughter-in-law. I arrived into 32° so it’s been very hot 🥵🥵🥵 but, beautiful. It’s was lovely to pick up the video as it always feels like I’ve popped in for a cuppa with a friend. We, will be keeping up as best we can in between all the various activities planned for us over the next three months. However, I’ve explained to them both these two old farts take things a bit slower these days.
Thank you for another lovely video Sean. Big love from over here in Lincolnshire….. 😱🫣 Oops! Canada for a while 😂❤
Hello again mate, only my 2nd message to your channel after the frozen milk lol a small idea for you with the cleaning solution that I have used for years now. If you mix bog standard white vinegar with same amount of water it does the exact same as a cleaning solution and a fraction of the price as those other chemical products. Just an idea for you, take care anyways 👍
We have Portmeirion pottery which we have been collecting for years. Portobello road, Ealing and Ally Pally were all good hunting grounds. Much of it came from the village too.
Gi day Sean from Australia 🇦🇺,So love your videos❤
Have a nice time with your friends Sean. I hope that you have some good weather and energy for those walks.
It's always nice to see a new video pop up but in between I like to catch up on your old allotment videos from your London days. Enjoy a week off it may do you good as you seem to have been so busy lately. You have done a lot since you moved from London six months ago.
Thanks again for another lovely video, your so relaxing to watch, dont know what I would do without your videos now, enjoy your visitors but please dont be too long without us seeing your lovely face on here. 🐈⬛🐈⬛🌹🌺🌷🪻⚘️🌾
Great video Sean, wish you well
Enjoy your R & R with your friends, but you will be missed! Can't get through the day without watching some of your back catalogue, although I am having problems working out the order (months and years) as the playlists are not dated.
Have a week off filming and have a holiday with your friends. Filming is like a job and you need a break xx
I have my cutlery the opposite way round to you ( from the left large knives ordinarily knives , forks and then spoons ) maybe because I'm left handed
Everyone here is so funny with their little ways. :) I live alone too, and my knives, forks and spoons are all jumbled up in one drawer. No sorting at all.
You cut grape fruit in half add sugar if desired eat!!!
Proper Welsh dark 😄
You may be fortunate enough to find a new lid in the thrift shop.
What a great week ahead for you. Enjoy and relax. Have a great time with your visitors.
When I break glass in the kitchen, I sweep, vacuum and mop, then repeat, a total of three times. I've fallen asleep like that and then confused what time it is. Have fun with your visitors! Always catch up on your sleep it's most important!
Have some nice time out with your friends Sean, you deserve a break from filming.
Enjoy your company and hope you make some wonderful memories.
First - enjoy your time off! We’ll be here when you get back!
Second - you have no room for butter in your under-counter freezer?
Third - forks, spoons, knives and chopsticks.
Fourth - less plates mean less clutter.
Fifth - you do appear healthier! After the last few years I’m on a similar recovery. I’m good about one day in three but my A1C glucose is now 6.3 which is great for me.
Sixth - despite all I’m managing to keep a 40 year old philodendron alive. His name is Tom. ;-)
Finally - I’m going to spray my garden with peppermint oil as I’ve had squirrels digging up some things. I’ve lost an entire raised bed of unsprouted sunchokes!
Mum had the smaller version of your dish i think its a pyrex, think it might be still in the house if my sis hasn't got rid of it as my brither has just hsd a new kitchen in and she went a bit mad chucking the old stuff and getting new where as I'm more sentimental. 😊 . Enjoy your catch up with your friends hope the weather is kind and you're fit enough to go on some rambles . Noticed the fridge straight away 😅
Or even brother 😂😂
Morning good idea , Take time of for yourself and injoy , it will do you a power of good . Love and hugs ❤❤❤
Love the plates Sean. Hope the weather and your health are all good when spending time with your London friends next week.😊
Have alovely time with your friends, and I hope the weather is good for you all.
Ha! The other week, I went to bed @19.30, read for a bit, fell asleep, then woke up late @ nearly 09.00!! Quickly got dressed thinking my 3 dogs would be desperate! Opened the back door, thought to myself "Funny light".......had been in bed 45 minutes 👎👎
Hi Sean. What is the name of the food tracking app you are using? I want to give it a try. Love your videos. I look forward to them throughout my week.
I mention it in the video.
What happened to all of your magnets?!? Perhaps you will let us know...ATB
Perhaps if you watch this video you will find out.
@@seanjamescameron Got it!
Hi Sean, I have my utensil layout opposite of you. Starting from the left, knives, forks, spoons, but small spoons in front like yoy. Maybe it’s because I’m left-handed.
Well that’s just madness 🤣
@@seanjamescameron LOL Ah, but lefties work from the “right-side” of the brain! 😉
