The main thing I use my microwave for these days is precooking a potato before it goes into the oven to give final bake texture.
Dear Sean, you only need to put that lovely pot of preserve in the fridge once you have opened it. I also write the date I open a pot on the lid with a permanent marker pen, as the pot will say on it somewhere how long you can keep it once opened. I did the same as you with the Christmas Waitrose Delivery slot, as I have to get everything delivered to me, due to only going out to walk Madge, and living in a very rural place in West Devon, I too found the same thing, that even though it is the beginning of October, I was lucky to get a slot on the 21st December, as all the ones nearer Christmas Day were already taken! As you also mentioned, if you put things in to come to over the minimum order of £40 it will hold your slot, and you can change it up to the day before your delivery is due. LOVE your little new microwave, love the colour and the wood effect handles etc. I have had my microwave - a Panasonic one - for 41 years now, and I use it almost every day! If you bought a dehumidifier you wouldn't need to put the heating on or open the windows and it only costs pennies to run.
I can certainly recommend them - keeps your house nice and dry 👌

Those ice packs will come in handy for taking stuff to the shed you want to keep cool. Didn't Martin Roberts also buy a haunted house in the village?
If you keep your sp 16:00 are jars of jam, mayo etc in your cupboard, it will remind you to add them to your shopping list when you use them to replace emty jars in fridge.
It’s been a bad year for the olives with lots of failed harvests so I guess that’s why the prices have gone up .
I like fresh bread like that .I always cut up half and put in freezer for later 😊

When i was posting the spiders would always make their webs across the paths, always head level use to hate it when i walked into one wondering where the hell it had gone and doing the spider dance 😂 don't know what was worse them or the dogs 😂😂😂. Lovely colour microwave much nicer than boring white 😊😊

I had a microwave that did not spin. It only lasted 2 years and then broke. My other microwaves with the spinning plate worked much longer, so I went back to the spinning plate. I hope you have better luck. I like the retro look of your microwave.

You always have such interesting content. Hope you get your sleep/ wake pattern in order. I found my patterns went weird when I retired. Finally had to find a schedule that worked. What a lot of great content you put into your videos. The little breakfast area is a good use of space when you get time to sit down. The portrait by Gayle is brilliant and I love your microwave, not the usual ugly piece of equipment in boring white. Have a nice relaxing day. The microwave is 'pretty', beautiful calm colour😀. I only use my microwave to warm up my cold coffee nowadays . I love my courgettes fried in a bit of butter, especially on cheese on toast😋. They don't taste at all like boiled. It will be nice for you to be able to sit outside for a cuppa. Have a good few days🤗

Love your microwave Sean, the colour is great, it would look lovely in my kitchen but hubby bought a glaring sparkly diamond like pattern black one, will have to wait now till it conks out. Like other commentators, I prefer the thought of a turntable in a microwave although even then they have good spots and bad spots of uneven cooking, maybe the non turntable ones are more even?? I will investigate that, it’s a need to know basis lol. I would be disappointed with the veg box, I wouldn’t know what to do with some of that veg, I prefer the stuff I was brought up on, it’s familiar to me. I tried an avocado once ugh slimey texture, won’t venture into unknown territory again lol

@@Watchingyou-r9q no it wasn’t really slimy, I can’t describe the texture, it felt slimy in my mouth sort of thing, it looked smooth and nice but I didn’t like the feel of it in my mouth, it was unusual and not like anything I had eaten before and I am a bit funny about smells and textures.

No they don’t offer that service.
Shame, I’m sure the food bank will appreciate it. I see no point in aubergines but found a good way to use veg you don’t like would be to roast it, whizz it up into chopped tomatoes and herbs for a nice ‘hidden veg’ pasta sauce - all the goodness but no overpowering tastes. Love all the new subscriptions you’re trying. Can’t do it here though as the Irish Sea holds up deliveries quite a bit.

Perfect size microwave. A big one is too big...most of the time its just reheating a plate of food....but I do steam veggies in mine.in a corning ware container with a glass lid...carrot chunks with a little water butter and salt are great in it... Now ou can warm up your cup o tea. Thanks for the video.. Sean.

You can add the carrot 🥕 tops to soups. I grate courgettes, drain them well, then add to a batter mix to make fritters. There’s a great Nigel Slater recipe for a courgette tart online, you might like it. It’s a strange vegetable, but in recipes it’s nice. It bulks things up and adds colour and texture. The same with aubergines. I roast mixed vegetables to add to sauces and pasta dishes. They’re usually the Mediterranean veg mix from the supermarket. I probably wouldn’t buy the veg individually but in a mixed pack I’ll use them up.
