They already traded for Stephon Gilmore to cover AJ brown. I am curious if they are going to get another player tomorrow that will help with them stopping the vertical passing game to Dallas Goedert that Philly utilizes like maybe Jammie Robinson.

I like what the cowboys are doing. I can envision what they are trying to do in my head but whether it works out that way comes down to coaching. I'm glad they went defense as I have more faith in Dan Quinn than I do Mike McCarthy as an offenseive coordinator. Even Schoonmaker though fits as a check down receiver for what Mike McCarthy wants to do. THey basically got their blocker/3rd down specialist in Schoonmaker imo. Kind of like a cross between Moose Johnson and Jason Witten that way where I envision Schoonmaker basically being just that with a name like that. He can do a lot of things and it's not like the other tight ends were doing anything that really stands out. I get the hype for Mayer but he's not Gronk. Schoonmaker stands out int hat he can do a lot of things. Overshown is more robin to Parsons batman. With Mazi clogging the middle and as double teams come this guy can shoot the gaps and teams will get confused as far as who to cover. He looks like a guy who can shoot the gaps and drop back into coverage. Whether it will work out that way we will see, but I like what they did in theory going defense. Cowboys already have a top offense. They need some rb depth but with Mazi and PArsons they should have a top 5 defense for the next decade. This guy is just icing. He'll have to play more a role and that nickel backer when they want more coverage or a rush. Kind of like a slot safety who can rush the passer and drop into coverage. They have their corners set now with Diggs and Gilmore and Lewis who is more a coverage player. I expect them to open up their offense more too. If McCarthy doesn't get too enamored with Schoonmaker he can really be that jackknife tight end who can do a lot of things. All 3 of their first picks are very good on paper.
