      ***** Wanda thanks so much for your kind words. I REALLY appreciate them. It's the way I prefer to make my tutorials and some folks do complain so it's nice when others say they like them detailed. Helps when it's time to get back behind the camera.

    I enjoy your tutorials. I find that you explain everything so well. Also a person can see your projects so well. The way you film with the camera is the best compared to other tutorials. Please continue with more projects. I hope someday you will add a tutorial on a handbag or purse. Something fancy. Ty for these slippers.

    Thank You so very much. I am so glad I found your video. I totally love loom knitting and I am amazed at all the things that can be made using the looms. I have only in the past made caps and scraf's and just a couple weeks ago I made a couple pair of the sleeper socks. I LOVE these slippers. I have been a huge fan of Mary Jane shoes for many years and own several pair of them. So when I found this pattern for the Mary Jane slippers I was so excited. This pattern is super easy and that is a big plus for me. I will admit that I had to start over 3 or 4 times but it was my fault. I LOVE these slippers they are super comfy. I am now making my Hospice Home Health nurse and my CNA a pair they are going to love them as much as I do. Look forward to more of your tutorials.

    This is now the second time after awhile I've watched your tutorial. The first time... The slippers came out mostly just fine but as I was working the project and knitting off , the loops kept getting too loose . I realized something this time though. The way you don't push the bottom loop down all the way to the bottom.. I tried it the same way where I only pushed it down a lil bit. It actually helped A LOT. Idk if anyone else had the same issue or not but just an observation I made lol.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you do much for this video. It was just what I needed.
    I made the first slipper today. Now J just have to make the second tomorrow. I loved your video. I found it very easy to follow and understand even though my first time using a knitting loom was only a few days ago.
    These are just what I was looking for. My feet are on the large size and Till now I'd been trying to by my slippers from the dollar store. But the largest size they had was way too small.
    Niw I can make my own, have them fit perfectly AND have the fun if making them soon
    They first that I completed came out quite well. Loved your video.

    So, on the heel part, after the flat panel knit cast on, Row 1 is just e-wrap the unmarked pegs and knit over. Is Rows 2 thru however many your foot measures (21 for mine).....are my Rows 2 thru 21 flat stitch one way, then e wrap the other way to marked peg? OR is Row 2 to 21 only ewrap kit stitches back n forth?

    Love the video!! Thank you so much for all of your tutorials!!! My grandmother just asked me to make her a pair of slippers, but I have a question for you...I have seen where people use lines of hot glue for traction on some projects...Would that work for these? Or would I be better off gluing the bottoms as you have shown? I have to make sure she is completely safe. Her house is all hardwood floors and she uses a walker. Thank you so much for your help!!!

  • @Mikaelaxoxo1
    @Mikaelaxoxo1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does it matter where you mark off the 6 empty pegs? Like does t have to be 3 on each side of the anchor peg? Reason that I ask is because when I start knitting the foot portion in the round, I HAVE to start and stop on the anchor peg. I don't know why but that's how I've always been when it comes to looming.

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mikaelaxoxo1 Hi, you can mark you 6 pegs anywhere you like. Just remember that regardless where you decide you will create a new starting point from where you started.
      Hope that helps,
      denise

    This is such a cute slipper! I'm on the second phase where I'm going all the way around the loom. Do I still go back and forth with each row or continue in the same direction?

      Hi Diana - The heel is knit flat (back and forth) - the foot is knit in the round. I believe see the pattern might you better. www.loomahat.com/ladies-slippers/

    made my first slipper. Turned out beautifully but too wide in the toe section. How do I make the toe section slimmer? I am a newbie and your tutorials are amazing.

    I have a quick question and hopefully it will make sense. when you are talking about getting the clean edges, you say to slip that 1st peg's stitch when turning direction. I'm confused a bit on whether that is to be done on both ends or not because when I watch the video it appears that you did slip that stitch on peg one but on the last peg around it appears that you did not slip it. I messed up my 1st attempt at these through no fault of yours so I want to be sure this time.

    Hi Denise! Great video, great instructions. The only problem I'm having is with yarn. My socks seemed to stretch out of shape the first time I wore them. What type of yarn do you suggest to keep the sock stable?

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shannon - a blend works best so something like Acrylic with wool or rayon. Bounces back but can hold up to wear .

    Denise what type of glue do you use to glue the felt to the bottom of the slippers. This is all new to me and I don't want to mess them up trying to glue the felt to the bottom of the slippers.

    Really like them, but would turn them the other way out, ie turn them inside out before gathering and sewing. I liked the stitch pattern better on that side. They look pretty simple to make, very well explained. Thank you.

    Hi there! Have you ever tried to put a fur-yarn lining inside loom-knit socks? Is it possible? I'd love to make these with fur on the side for a friend who has Raynaud's Syndrome, but I don't know where to start.
