  • Learn how to make some super easy loom knit slipper socks in this step by step free tutorial!
These slippers are a perfect loom knitting pattern to try if you've figured out hats and now you're ready to move on to some other Knifty Knitter projects! OK, even if you haven't figured out hats, you can still make this sock, I promise.
👉 See the full written tutorial for this project over on my blog! www.marchingnorth.com/how-to-...
SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED FOR THIS PROJECT //
▶︎ 24 peg knitting loom (with the hook): amzn.to/323OIV9
▶︎ 2 skeins of Lion Brand Hometown Yarn (or comparable bulky yarn): amzn.to/30yJHDM
    ▶︎ sharp scissors: amzn.to/3saOFlE
▶︎ 2 stitch markers or scrap yarn: amzn.to/3oY1pK4
The pair of socks I make in this tutorial fit my size 9.5 US women's foot. I think they would fit a range of about women's US size 8 to size 10.
It's easy to customize the length of the socks by adding or decreasing the amount of rows you do for the main body of the sock. (The part after the heel)
If you want to make the ribbed ankle part longer or add more or less space between the ribbed ankle and the heel section, you can. Just keep in mind you might need more than one skein of yarn per sock if you add many extra rows.

I found your channel two days ago and I made a hat immediately because of your instructions. That was my very first knitting experience. I made another hat the next day (yesterday) in a faster time, I might add. I'm wearing my first hat as I write this and showed both hats to someone today. She loved them and wanted me to make one for her (which I did plan to do). I didn't give her the one I already made because it was intended for someone else (the person who nudged me in the knitting direction). Additionally, I wanted to know the colour she would want before making it. Get this... she also wants me to teach her. It seems hilarious but essentially, you're the teacher because I literally just started learning and am only copying you, however, I'm honoured. Now this. I will be making socks from this video. Your instructions are very simple and easy to follow. I don't feel overwhelmed at all. Plus, your voice helps. It's nice to listen to and your patience is evident. You're a good teacher. Thank you.

Ok, I got it. I had to go back and watch it a few times. With New Years upon me I must have gotten interrupted and missed the counts. I just made my very first sock slipper. You are so good at teaching this. Thank you so much. What a wonderful feeling when you finish . I make jewelry but I always envied anyone who could make such beautiful things with yarn. My 11th grandchild is due in February, I’m going to make him a blanket. I’m so excited. ❤❤❤

Thank you for such an easy and great tutorial! I got some looms for Christmas and I had never used them before. I decided on these socks as my first project. The first sock I got a bit overconfident and cocky and messed up the heel (still not sure what I did lol) but I carefully picked apart what I did and then followed more closely. The second sock just went so quick and easy - funny how that happens when you follow directions lol. I have so much yarn in the house that I sort of inherited from mom when she left us and I didn't know what to do with it. Now, I'll be making a few pairs for myself and friends!

My first sock turned out fantastic! I am so happy with this and I can't wait to make alot more socks!! 🧶

You are amazing. ❤ Also, your little one is cute I heard a little giggle at the end. I watched one other video before this one from you and I decided to subscribe because you are really good at making videos. I understand how much work it takes to do TH-cam and you got it down like an art skill. If you use a crew to edit your videos please tell them thank you and they are great too. You are doing a great job. This video is two years old so I can imagine how much you have improved over the years. I am excited to be part of this community. ❤😊 I just created my TH-cam account yesterday. I did lots of research on what channels to watch and subscribe to before I created my account. Your channel was on the top of the search from my feed. You should be very proud of yourself. I myself am autistic and too scared to make videos. Maybe someday I will be able to. I am an experienced weaver and I am an above average genius. I have been trying to figure out what to do with my life because I am not able to work and my health conditions are making me unwell and I am 42 years old. I need something to do so I can get out of my head space. I started crocheting and knitting again after I got surgery last year and I went to counseling for PTSD so I can start getting out more. I bought my first loom kit yesterday and I am already in love with it. I feel blessed to be able to afford it. Walmart has everything I need and they are not expensive so it's very nice. They recently got more yarns and arts and crafts available at their bigger stores. I like window shopping too so I can know what I can get later. 😊 I really appreciate your work and time here. Thank you so much. I would go on forever telling how much I appreciate your channel but that probably would be annoying. I just want you to know how grateful I am and you are loved. ❤ My name is Mandy or Amanda.

I tried making socks on other tutorials and this one is by far the best out there. You explain in very good detail, do not skip any steps and don't assume that we "got it" and move too fast like other tutorials. Camera shows exactly what you are doing at a good angle. I like the method you use for the heel. Other tutorials use a wrap and turn method which is confusing and ends up very bulky. Would this sock tutorial work on the tight sock looms? Is there a formula with figuring out the heel on different looms?

    • @YarnStash
      @YarnStash  ปีที่แล้ว +1

My five year old and I just got into lion knitting and we’re finding our e stitch to come out too loose. Do you have any advise on how we can correct this? We’re using the same yarn you’ve used in this tutorial and the loom has the same spacing but with 12 pegs for smaller feet. Do we just need to wrap tighter as we go? The top of the sock comes out great at least lol

I have tried to make heels before,
Let's see if I can do this one.
    10 rows knit 1 pearl 1.
    5 rows knit
    Mark pegs 1 and 12.
    4 rows back and forth between 1 & 12
Skip peg 12 when going back.
Skip peg 1 when going forth
    I got lost here
3 empty loop on each end of the 12.
    6 pegs with loops
    I'm confused here.
25 more rows regular E rap after heel.
Rap yarn around loom 1 1/2 times
    With needle take off loops
    Turn inside out, and secure

Also, would 1 skein on yarn like one you used, fit his size 10 1/2 US foot?

These socks are very stretchy, so at most I’d probably only add an extra row or two. It should still be enough, but I always grab two skeins just in case! I’d hate to tell you wrong- good luck!
