I think this is the first class guide I've ever seen that actually covers the multiclass Feats and I appreciate that very much I hope you do that for all of the other class guides you're planning on doing for Core 2

Yeah! Don't see why not. They're kinda related. :)

15:41 I'm guessing people will be (ab)using Archer archetypes and similar effects that say something like "whenever you get expert+ proficiency in *any* weapon, you also increase your proficiency in XYZ". Bombs are weapons and now go to master, so they will take a bow (in that example) along for the ride.
Great video! :) It's awesome to see alchemist getting some love. It's one of my favorite classes (together with gator and kineticist). When I first came to PF and saw the goblin picture, I was instantly converted.

    • @WisdomCheck
      @WisdomCheck  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

That's a great idea for a build, I may suggest it to one of my players. Yeah, it does make sense to get improved proficiency with another weapon.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I LOVE the fantasy of the Alchemist, but the PF2 Alchemist was never QUITE what I was looking for in a build so I often added it alongside Witch or Rogue or something but NOW... I think I really like it now.
Witch is my fave, as you'll see on my channel and as people in my Discord know - but Alchemist has been my favorite ARCHETYPE along with Psychic and Kineticist.
lol yeah the little goblin bastard got me too in the beginning. It makes for a memorable entrance to the system. It speaks to a very specific fantasy.

in the area for the next minute, dealing 3d8 piercing damage to

The 20ft Vial heal on the Chirg is great. The bomber got slightly less complicated (good) via the vials and makes it even more of a better first alchemist for some. I am a little worried/curious to see how the regeneration of 10 minutes during any exploration is going to feel for VV's. But there are very few ways to actually increase the maximum which reassures me. Ultimately the decoupling of advanced and quick alchemy from reagents was the right call I think and now finally we can have a non familiar chirg!
At will abilities change the whole game of action economy that made alchemist feel at times pretty clunky. The focus more on vials over formulas should help people ease into formulas without being totally gimped until they know the usual items/tools to use advanced alchemy with. Especially for Chirg we have given consistent options and cut down on the number of items making them feel more like important choices where as before we had whacktons of items usually too many to use at high level by the end of a day depending on RF. Good Video Jake!

sadly no, you can make a vial with quick. that vial can only be used as a "regular" vial for that turn, the odd wording is saying that a cherugeon can use it to heal someone (via throw or hand off for drink) or use it as an acid vial. The change makes the class better because you dont have to wait till lvl 7 for perpetual, but you can only do "acid flask" or your classes special gimmick.

Feint or Create a Diversion against that target within 1 minute. If

Here's the entirety of that feat now in case you'd like to verify.
EYE FOR NUMBERS [one-action] FEAT 1
      GENERAL SKILL
      Prerequisites trained in Society
You’ve learned to quickly estimate the number of items in a group
with relative accuracy at only a glance. You immediately learn the
number of visually similar items in a group you can see, rounded
to the first digit in the total number. For example, you could look
at a case of potion vials and learn that it held about 30 vials,
but you wouldn’t know that it was exactly 33 vials, how many
different types of potions there were, or how many of which
type. Similarly, you could look at a pile of 2,805 coins and know
that there were about 3,000 coins in all. You can use this ability
only on items that can typically be counted, so you can’t use it on
grains of sand or stars in the sky, for example.
If you count a specific number of items possessed by an
enemy, such as the number of coins or pieces of equipment
they’re carrying, you can use this information the next time you
Feint or Create a Diversion against that target within 1 minute. If
you do, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your check and can
use Society instead of Deception for the check.
You can use this action during an attempt to Decipher
Writing that is primarily numerical or mathematical to gain a +2
      circumstance bonus to your check.

@@WisdomCheck Now it makes more sense for this to be a society skill feat. I like it. Now it's another skill-substitution feat with a few flavorful but minor bonuses.
With how wacky it is I wish they went one step further and removed the limiter on what you can realistically count if you have legendary tier society. I want that high-level nerd character who can count stars at first glance or a Scrooge McDuck-inspired character with the ability to create a diversion or feint a dragon using the count of golden coins in its lair.

I don't understand. Quick vial gives vial for free? It doesn't take one resource off of the versatile vial you make each day?( Those that are 2+ int). Btw toxicologist and poison in general suck hard

    • @WisdomCheck
      @WisdomCheck  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Correct! OR you can use Create Consumable (Quick Alchemy) to CHANGE one of your normal versatile vials into something else.
      QUICK ALCHEMY [one-action]
      ALCHEMIST MANIPULATE
Requirements You’re either holding or wearing an alchemist’s
toolkit (Player Core 287) and you have a free hand.
You can either use up a versatile vial to make another
alchemical consumable at a moment’s notice or create an
especially short-lived versatile vial. Any effect created by an
item made with Quick Alchemy that would have a duration
longer than 10 minutes lasts for 10 minutes instead.
      • Create Consumable You expend one of your versatile
vials to create a single alchemical consumable item
of your level or lower that’s in your formula book.
You don’t have to spend the normal monetary cost
in alchemical raw materials or need to attempt a
Crafting check. This item has the infused trait, but it
remains potent only until the start of your next turn.
(As normal, you need only one formula for an item to
create any level of that item.)
      • Quick Vial You create a versatile vial that can be used
only as a bomb or for the versatile vial option from your
research field (it can’t be used to create a consumable, for
example). This item has the infused trait, but it remains
potent only until the end of your current turn.

@@alessandrodellanno948 they gave toxicologist new Feats that make it easier to build a toxicologist but you're right to start off with they're not amazing. They're probably the most challenging Alchemist to build.

@@WisdomCheckCan it be increased e.g. by taking the lvl 6 archetype feat?

      @WisdomCheck  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Indeed. Here's that 6th level Herbalist Feat:
      ADVANCED HERBALISM FEAT 6
      ARCHETYPE
Prerequisites Herbalist Dedication, expert in Nature
Your herbalist talents continue to grow with use and you
have become potent at making even more remedies from less.
You can create up to 6 herbal items per day with advanced
      alchemy.
Special At 10th level or higher, you can select this feat a
second time to increase the number to 8.
