@@zulithern As an American I've seen some brutal failures of some of my classmates on states quizzes in school. Even a couple who couldn't find our own state on a map, and I remembered why democracy is a bad idea lol

You don't have to travel to locate countries on map. I can locate most of the counties. Never been abroad. Its just i like international affairs.

So many ppl all over the world are clueless at geography, too many countries. But the questions Paddy asked are really easy!!!

If I were one of them and you were to ask me to identify America, I would really be a stickler and ask which one. You've got North America and South America :). Great job, though Paddy. That was enjoyable.
And if he were to ask me, I would go further and go: "You mean the continent? Or any of these: North, Central, Caribbean or South America?"
This is because that way we, Latinamericans, have learned Geography in our schools.

Those are continents, not countries. America, like it or not, is the USA. Sorry if that upsets people in Brazil, but that's just the way it is. United States of AMERICA... so it's America for short. If it was the Brazil of America or Argentina of America, you may have a point. But you don't have a point except you're mad that the US is knowns as America.

Hi Paddy, I got all ten (plus Saudi...where I worked for 8 years)....you can send the $20- to either my Australian bank acc or to my Thai bank acc.....haha........looks like you had a lot of fun making this one :)
I’ll stick to the Aus acct so I can avoid the transfer fee!!
@@ThaiTalkwithPaddy Hi mate, all fun aside, you can now bypass transfer fees by using a company named Transfer Wise........I only used them for the first time a few months ago and have used them once since....the first time I transferred $1K and saved got about an extra ฿1100 in my thai account (over what using westpac or any other Aust bank would give me) and the second time I sent $800- to myself and received about just less than ฿1,000 more than if I had of used bank.
THIS COULD BE SOMETHING THAT MANY OF YOUR SUBSCRIBERS CAN BENEFIT FROM

Good video paddy. I find that in general the Thai people are not great with geography. My Thai wife is terrible at geography, even areas in thailand she has no idea. Thanks paddy.
True of some ! , but I am not. Btw I think we do better than some Americans as I saw on some videos . At least we know what is Asia or Australia or Europe.

Hi Julia!! I often get this question but it is a little bit tricky. There is no really good apps that I know of unfortunately and the resources for Thai seem limited ☹️ I have heard “Learn Thai from a white guy” is alright and so is “learn Thai with Mod” but to be honest I have never used them because I learnt it when I lived there in 2014! What I would say though is learning how to read/write is something you can do by yourself that will definitely help your pronunciation and perhaps give you a bit of a foundation that you can work on once you actually go to Thailand! Sorry if this advice isn’t really what you wanted to hear...thanks for saying hi!

Hey Rich! I kinda wish I knew better myself! There are lots of Thai restaurants around Thai town that have the most authentic food which is near capital theatre. Pretty much any restaurant there is as authentic as you will get!

its similar to thai because the languages have similar origins but khmer isnt a tonal language whereas thai is. thai, lao, and khmer all have similar words from the same origin

I'm looking for a TH-cam channel that does for Khmer what Paddy does for Thai or what Phuc Map does for Vietnamese. Does anybody know one? I can buy food in Cambodia in Khmer and a few other things but I can do a little bit more in Thai.
@@ace_x17 Thai and Khmer aren't related, though. Thai and Lao belong to the Kra-Dai (aka Tai-Kadai) language family, while Khmer is an Austroasiatic (aka Mon-Khmer) language, like Vietnamese.

The continent is North America which consists of Canada, the United States of America, Mexico and numerous countries in the Central America region. The other continent is South America which consists of Brazil and surrounding countries.
