How about a five-gallon bucket, with a lid, dollar store eight-gallon plastic bags, cheap cat litter, a box of baking soda, and your favorite magazine. Drop the bag at a trash receptacle, end of the story, costing maybe $10.00.😊😂
Definitely! I would have a trash pack bag attached outside to the back of my vehicle, as to not have to keep it inside and to not be in a rush to immediately find a place to dump it.
i can appreciate these types of videos from time to time. i never knew this existed. obviously out of my price range, but its nice to see what kind of gear is out there.
Oh wow, thanks I was considering this toilet at one time but now seeing it makes large balloons filled with poop, I'm glad I went in another direction. Wrappon if you are listening maybe a mechanism with a long bag that you can go multiple times and it seals between without the huge air pocket. Maybe that's how it works with the more expensive model? Anyway thanks for the review Venture4wd!
Thanks for this information and perspective. The PF-1 seems like a budget, manual Laveo. What a compact, portable, manageable toilet solution, much appreciated. ❤️🙏
Thanks for making this video. I’m looking for a solution for our family and a partner taking chemo. This adds extra complications to handling. Obviously most here can’t fathom that this could be a solution for disabilities or special cases like cancer. Partner’s last wishes are to be outdoors as much as possible.
Thanks for sharing this Chris! Many who are interested in these Wrappon toilets will find this video very resourceful. Personally, the Wrappon toilets are very useful for our guided trips. For us, it’s much more sanitary for our guests (as many as 15 people) to seal off their own waste individually vs. our guide team having to tie off a full bag of several other people’s doo. In a group setting, I definitely prefer deploying a Wrappon over a Clean Waste toilet for this simple reason.
good point! :) On those trips, do people carry their waste out? Does the huge air pocket become an issue? Do the bags fit in backpacks? Just curious as to how that is handled. I had never seen one of these and I was shocked at the amount of air it captured.
OMG. I seriously laughed out loud when you stated the prices No, not worth it. I use the one you always used. If I'm solo and stationary for a couple of days, I just toss in some nice smelling cat litter and not just dispose the bag after a single use. Also, I can collapse the bag down small in order to toss in my trash to take out of my site. Having a bag filled with 99% air takes up way to much space. I think this product is moving away from what camping is all about. Overlanding gear is a major slippery slope. Thanks Chis. ❤
I got this $15 plastic thing from WalMart that uses bags with coagulant already inside. You poop and close the lid and I find it's good for a couple days of poopy use, lift the seat, pull out the bag spin and tie it shut... no muss, no fuss, no smell and no electricity needed.
Pure, morbid curiosity got me through this one. The cost...i mean. And how many plastic bags will this waste in the name of saving someone from dealing with their humanity? I appreciate he made it very clear what this video was and I can't fault him for that. Kind of disappointed though that he didn't do what most other youtubers would in this situation and don a bikini to keep us interested.
The one big question Chris didn't answer is why would either of those expensive devices be better options than the Go Anywhere gray plastic seat+bag system he currently uses, and that I have had for a few years. Nothing wrong with those at all, other than the bags can get a bit spendy.
Last four videos before this were winners- seeing the winch in use, cool recap of Winnebago revel travels, fixing the Landy door, and finding a cool campsite in Orangie because they are relatable- I can see myself doing those things and having a meaningful impact on my life outdoors. The best waste disposal system I’ve used is a $8 garden trowel from Lowe’s, digging a hole, doing my business, and covering with the dirt I dug out of the aforementioned hole. Quick, affordable, and environmentally friendly. If I want to go fancy, I might splurge on the orange poop shovel from REI- up around $20, I think as it reminds me of that scene in the Walk in the Woods where Nick Offerman shows it to Robert Redford as the preferred method of human waste disposal on the trail- hilarious! I’d rather spend $500 or $1500 on a portable power station and solar panels- far more relatable functionality than spending $500-600 on something I can accomplish for $5-20. I think a humorous video with the REI poop scoop with some camping and over landing in the Landy would’ve been much better. Staying with the channel for now as I do enjoy a lot of the past content.

hahaha! sheesh, how did going to the bathroom get so 'upscale'...we use a cheep Aussie Thunderbox and sealable bags from Bass Pro shops. Everything fits flat in the Crashpad wheel bag. Great review, tho.
Insane to be spending that amount on a portable toilet. For camping out of our Tacoma with RTT, my wife and I have used the Cleanwaste Go Anywhere in a popup privacy tent, and the Thetford PortaPotty in our cargo trailer camper conversion, also no issues. It is mind-blowing to me that people would pay that kind of money and put up with that amount of setup time when you gotta go! I guess its a talking point among wealthy campers?
Have been following from the beginning but I’ve got to say I’m heading towards trail recon lately, the whole idea has gone down the toilet just like this episode
I think i'd rather have this is a stand-alone versus shoved in the middle of one of his other beautiful videos. He's making it very clear what this is from the get-go. Dude needs to make money. So let him do that, and get back to what he does best.
I have never yet had a problem in 15 years of using a PET toilet and WAG bags. This is a neat concept but too expensive IMO. Also I am betting those heat sealable bags are not cheap to restock when you need more of them.
I thought this was about overlanding & Exploring Christopher. Next you're going to tell us about the magic toilet paper on Patrion.🤔 Well thats a RAP for this week FOLKS. "As Chris would say."💩😂🤣Bag it & tag it.

That's neat, but too pricey. When I have room to pack it, I use the Walmart Ozark Trail portable toilet that folds up. $38 bucks and it folds up small. It's not fragile, either, and can just be thrown on top of other stuff.
Oh Chris, please tell us you haven’t sold out. I get trying to earn a living, but really, a shovel and biodegradable TP are all you need in wild. The cost of these products, well, not worth it, clearly, as that money could be better spent on more practical and useful equipment.
Luggable loo uses more plastic. Many biodegradable plastics break down into small particles that get into water and air which are more damaging to the environment.
My wife and I are cat hole diggers in the jeep and just got a bigger vehicle that came with a composting toilet, we're still hold diggers until we get to less remote places. I'm not sure about carrying that bag filled with poop and air..
I was a Patreon member at one time. Until Chris bought a house, a Land Rover, a $200,000 camper, a new engine for the Jeep and then rewards his followers with a 5 minute video about a toilet. I will spend my money elsewhere.

But the videos are overall getting shorter and he’s not been doing much of the stuff that brought most of us to this channel. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts to bleed patreon subscribers for stuff like this. Your complaint is valid.

As long as it takes to set it up, I would've crapped in my pants. When you gotta go, you gotta go! They should call it the Crapon POS - #2.

Five minutes for a toilet commercial? I signed off after one minute.
I guess you're not in the market for an electric toilet then. Why click in the first place, were you hoping to watch him poop?
Always click and drag the timeline until you see the thing you came to see, otherwise you’ll be in an “ain’t nobody got time for dat!” situation !

The piles of 💩they have are way to big for those toilets. And there are waaaaaay to many of them. Look at Chicago for example 😏

are the bags bio degradable? Poly i dont think breaks down which is another issue. a luggable loo is a more cost effective option.
Yeah thats all i see is more plastic waste in landfills if not.
Luggable loo uses more plastic. Many biodegradable plastics break down into small particles that get into water and air which are more damaging to the environment.
Does anyone know if you can heat seal a biodegradable bag?
But does it double as a table? 🤣

Nope
