    I love your method of using one brush to agitate the dirt, a cloth to wipe it out and a second brush to dry and clean the crevaces. I've been doing the same for years. Great work, Oscar!

    So now that you don't use your steamer on leather seats what do you find yourself using it mostly for? I agree, the polisher with brush attachment is plenty of power for these seats and steam probably isn't necessary unless you are trying to get rid of a bacteria-filled soccer-mom vehicle! It's important like you said to be careful not to burn through the leather coating with this method on older vehicles. I noticed some discoloration on an older interior I did after steaming AND using an interior brush attachment on the polisher.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      For specifically cleaning leather seats, I will primarily use the polisher with carpet attachment or the upholstery brush. If there's a lot of gunk on the dashboard, door panels, or headliner, I'll bring out the steamer. I would say be careful on ANY type of leather. Just because it's a modern day leather doesn't mean you won't eat up the leather coating quick. Especially if you're aggressively brushing a very specific area.
      You think you maybe pulling off dirt, when in reality, could be the actual pigment of the leather. Not good!

    in your opinion, how long do you think the micro film of clear coat last on leather seats ? when do you think it's time or appropriate to add conditioner ?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It never hurts to add conditioner. So from day one, I would start adding conditioner. As far as when it'll clear coat on the leather lasting, that's all dependent on how much abuse it gets, how old it is, and how frequently you clean it

    Question! How do you see the success of mobile detailing. what is its future? fleets of cars with trained crews? an enterprise? how do u see future of a successful mobile detailing? how will it run? the management and minitoring od people... i just want to hear ur views bout it... thank you..

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, but it's entirely dependent on the end goal of the business owner. In my personal case, a successful detailing business would be pulling in mid-to-high 6-figures in one location (shop-based), with a team of 10 or less.

      david munera he's using an all purpose cleaner diluted...any decent APC will work ...so called leather cleaners are for the most part gimmicky because of the factory coating on leather car seats...your more less cleaning plastic in a sense ( don't get to aggressive with cleaners or techniques ) the method He's doing takes some experience and should only be done by such person, ..hope this helps a little

    the leather do not need any conditioner or moisturizer after using the apc?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically, I'm not cleaning the leather. I'm cleaning the clear coat on the leather. Just how the paint has a clear coat, your leather has a clear coat. That's how they last a lot longer. So yes, you can most definitely put conditioner once you're done (I did after I was done), but you are putting it on top of the clear coat of the leather, not the leather itself
