Try out Diamond hardware or the Thunder 7/8th alans work great for me 🙏🏽
7/8" allen always. 2010 was the height of my skateboarding and I never could not find em. Maybe i had stock of silverados?? Idk, but I've always used 7/8" allen. Honestly i wish theyd make torx. Everything should just be torx. Phillips suck.😂
I think ur right kelly, droves of new skaters not knowing what bolts to get
it’s just easier to find a phillips tool then allen keys
This was great! You guys gotta get sheckler on..
I'm running the board in the thumbnail lol
I like one Inch because the nut doesn't fall off as much and fast. I didn't have to keep buying hardware.
I can always find a Phillips head screwdriver never know where a allen key is
I do know if you take the width it should be greater than the length minus 2 feet.
Call me nobody, those bolts make the set up.
Shorties silverados with the slim lock nuts.
Lucky you Nancy Hunt!! 😂😂😂😂
Always rode inch allens, just ordered some 7/8 phillips
I can only hope Truck brands would sell even a "Hanger" only.. Coz thats the one that gets abused as far as truck parts
I had a baseplate get damaged and cracked. But the board got ran over from a full size truck and trailer. Other then the very rare occasion they never get damaged but geometry is different
I've definitely get pivot holes get in trucks get warped because I didn't replace the pivot cups haha
I usually wear out pivot cups, bushings, and king pins before a hanger. I have had lots of axles slip before any of these things though...
Old Jamie was the first to put the stars in the grip tape
Its the truth! Just got new gold Indy hardware n sure shit 1" Phillips lol
WTF??.....who is even using them?! 😂😂😂
Phillips?! 😕
@@larryjimbob mini hacksaw fixes alot of things 🤣
Started talking about meticulous skaters and he hit the nail on the head with chirs cole, so i thought what would be the exact opposite and i instantly thought Louie Barletta
Imagine the moment they switch their board setups and nuts about it. Also, Louie always have an unique bolt placement for ollie reason.
Wanting and preferring 1 inch Philips head screw bolts to 7/8 inch Allen bolts is mind boggling and odd when 7/8 inch Allen bolts are so much more convenient, easier and better. And I can't understand why 7/8 inch Allen bolts wouldn't sell, that is also mind boggling and odd.
I use to like Philips but Allen is definitely superior
7/8 Allen gang for life!✊
The one inch bolts used to annoy the hell out of me too but then I started skating alot more drops and trying to so more technical skating rather than just the usual mini ramp flat ground stuff I like to do and the 7/8 became wayyy to small, I've lost so many bolts over this summer because they became so loose so fast so the 1in actually work better for me
Exactly put a freshy on then a couple hours later your missing like two bolts lol. I'd dig the bolts deep into the wood giving me pressure cracks so i just went back to the one inch.
loose bolts? Buy some shortie's 7/8 allen and you're set. Quality matters.
@@trupiil I've skated shorties, shake junt, diamond and they all have gotten loose
@@alexsosa202 the thing is, a longer bolt does not prevent a nut from going loose. I've never had loose shortys. Try screwing them on properly.
@@trupiil then you probably dont skate hard enough or take any impact not hating just saying and a screw is pretty easy to install small room for error I'm sure they were screwed in properly even pass the nylon nut lock and they still gradually come loose.
I know this is 3 yrs old + .. but it be funny if someone mailed him 1000 inch Phillips bolts 😂
Phillip's bolts dont get fucked up as easily, thats why its better
@the Jack yeah. if you are not pro, you are better off with Phillips, cause they last longer, the grooves melt on the allens. literally, there are no tools to save a broken allen screw, its just inferior in every way.
Great setup
I ride 7/8 Allen too. I've heard this before
Kelly is right about beginners, nearly everybody has a Phillips screwdriver so they buy what they recognise! 1 inch also a great if you’re not sure if you want risers or not!
Amen. 7/8 Allen for life. Phillips look like something you buy from a hardware store in the 50’s
Man I remember sometime around 2001 Jamie Thomas came to visit Ireland. I was 12 years old and a massive Zero fan. I was too shy to go visit him and it was only a 30 min drive away. (for my parents) I still regret not trying to see him.
Damn it dude that sucks
@@jedinaiit2345 Well it did teach me to stop being a shy kid and do things out of my comfort zone. So that's a plus I guess. 😅
@@Lacotemale I think that’s the best lesson there for sure! I’ve learned something similar with just getting out and trying my best, which is something I didn’t do when I was younger
I seen some 1 1/4 bolts today
1/4” risers are very common on cruiser skates, so 1.25” bolts are necessary. I’ve got 3” bolts on my dirt cruiser.
Cool thanks for posting
DORSITOS 😂
Really want zero to make grip tape again
I think 1-inch Allen is the perfect mix. Allen, Roberts, torx, etc. are all superior to phillips.
im rich thats how i feel every tme i watch the nine club the best fucking show on the interweb peace love and light brothers
What’s the best board size for an 11 year old girl? she wants a complete for Christmas
boof toot cheers for that 👍🏻
mini deck
7.5” wide mini/children’s deck
Get her a cutting board, an ironing board and an apron.
Damn no i hate allen head screws you strip them suckers like nothing ph2 ftw😂
bro i have the same board its really good
LMFAO!! I can't stand anything other than 7/8 allen bolts, and I hated the bolts that used to be threaded all the way to the head to the bolts. omg... Philips bolts always fucking sucked.
'You know Fos, the dude who runs heroin?'
Took me a minute to understand he meant Fos, the guy who owns Heroin skateboards. I initially thought he was just name dropping a dude they know that moves a bunch of weight lol.
😂
No phillips and no inch bolts. That's how it's done. Skateshops take note.
Secretly Always Hated Allen bolts.... Allen Bolts are like my most hated skate item.
Damn,homie you ride for dorstos!
Phillips are way too easy to strip...and of anyone has had to get a truck off of a striped bolt...will feel the same way the chief does lol
