Paul the spacer let’s you actually tighten the nut all the way tight and the wheel will still spin freely. This . The spacer keeps the bearings aligned and helps cut down on lateral loads ( vibrations) which ruins bearings
Paul, please speak to the guys at Venture and get them to put the classic V logo back on their trucks! Venture OGs would be eternally grateful! I'm certainly not a big fan of the all polished trucks in all honesty! Many thanks!

I think sometimes, the wheel hardly spins if the axle is tightened too much. Spacers help prevent this problem by sitting between the bearings and taking the pressure off the tightening axle.
The spacers are for your wheel to rest or roll on inside the wheel , when one side or one of the bearing blows out your still be able to roll away. Or keep rollin’ atleast , if rocking no spacers , they’ll help keep ya rolling instead , of your wheel rolling completely off if there’s a blow out or one bearing goes missing.
With the proper size spacer, it allows you to tighten up your nut so it functions as one machine part. The issue is that most spacers are NOT the correct size for most wheels...
New deck is beautiful. I found some scraps of old Black Magic grip the other day. It's actually pretty terrible compared to Mob, Jessup or Black Diamond. I never skated Grizzly or Shake Junt. I just tried Jessup for the first time actually and not that impressed. The grit is fine but it's too thin. Getting torn up way faster than another setup I have with Black Diamond, which is really underrated
Still got a pair of your "Mexicans" knocking around somewhere. I loved the fact that each shoe was different. I got some Prod 2's or 3's (I think they're 3's) in a sort of turquoise/teal sort of colour as well. Always was into your SB's. Not gonna lie though, Janoski's might be my favourite to skate in. For style though, P-rods all day.

Cool vid dude, i always sliced airbubbles in my grip too, and to stop damaging the phillips screw heads i would jam the screwdriver in and tighten the nut on the other side 👍
I still use Phillips head hardware solely so I never have to accidentally scrape my knuckles on the grip tape ever again! I use a long screwdriver lmao

Great video Mr. Paul , So I wondering what´s the feeling you´re riding a 8.125 board right now with 5.6 ventures , cause I thought that 8.25 board with the same size trucks fit with you , 8.125 board is a little bit thinner than 8.25 but you ride a twin noise, I mean do you fell better ? quick flick than wide board ? , I´m convinced 100 % that the feeling isn´t the same, anyways I like the Primitive shape and those sizes. You should skate the hollow ventures since the forged baseplate makes them slightly lower but you don’t sacrifice any kingpin clearance
