I'm going to assume Alter's weight is actually different than most legends, because she needed to be lifted from the floor on ceiling breaches, which is likely easier with less weight. This was likely given advanced logic down the line, but I could see myself using this during development. Usually a simple fix for any surface clipping would be to reduce the character's weight & add a force in the direction of the nearest standing surface(this increases the amount of time the engine has to detect a surface to stand on).

Honestly, they should keep it. After all its locked behind a upgrade so if you want it, you can choose the upgrade at level 3. Plus everyone thats uses his jump pad after can also do it so it's not unfair
I have just tried something maybe I am tripping , but you go even further if you stim aswell with the same combo so flick back jump and stim at the same time
I'm doing it on console, I found if you dont pull the stick all the way back and instead find the point where you start to walk backwards and hit jump at that point you will get a better dash with no movement deadzone about 5-25% stick movement is needed and with large maybe 25-50% itll slow you down if you fully move the stick backwards
what i did was i just put a second backward input for me "X" on Keyboard its way more constistent for me i havent missed a single one with that but i think its just preference
a few things to note after my testing is that its based off of the direction you were looking at while taking the jump pad, so if i strafe 90 degrees and do it, it fails. but if i strafe 90 degrees and then face my initial direction is does it (albeit a lot less). i'll reply to this comment if i find out some more
alright my current theory is that the for the new pad it, when used in the intended manor it stops all the momentum of your current direction and converts it into the direction you are holding forward into. but backwards input does the exact opposite. it keeps your momentum going in that direction, but then also tries to convert it into the direction your momentum is acting in. therefore doubling it.
I believe alters hitbox/physics are bugged slightly, more so animation/physics lag. Her anims bug out in kill cams, ive had instances where things just dont make sense when playing alter (buggy physics) and the discovery in this video with the jump pad is making things add up Could be far fetched.

First time i jumped with Alter i instantly noticed it. Please look into this. Like i said i think it might be conected to why its easier to do this glitch with Alter and only her.
Respawn should hire someone like MS and together with some good programmers they should revamp all of the movement tech code. For example get rid of superglides but replace them with something similar that everyone can pull off. Every character's model can be updated to wear booster packs to make it seem halfway plausible.
Sometimes I think a dev just snooped one of this "bugs" into the game without anyone knowing just so they can latter play and have fun abusing the thing they created XD

didn’t read past the like first 2 lines but all characters use the rifts. Alters only ability that only she can use is the passive death box looting.

I remember i got lifeline in ranked cause someone else took octane and they picked the double stim damage over the double ult upgrade
So something i actually recommend for this is binding a button close to your space bar and pressing it with just your thumb (like a superglide input)
