first id like to say thnx for reviewing this monitor they just released it earlier this month and iv had hella difficulties trying to find videos of this monitor. this video made me super hype for the one i ordered! originally i was getting a newer msi mag 272cqr 1440p 165hz sadly they have been sold out for months then i seen this knew i had to get it for about $100 more you're getting an IPS monitor with gaming aspects and has AMD FReesync as well as g-sync so i can reliably switch GPU's down the road and not have to worry about a new monitor for a looong time
Just got mine. I was hesitant to buy it, since not many reviews on it. So far, I love it. Big jump from my old 1080p tn panel monitor. Still adjusting color, contrast, etc.. But I am NOT disappointed so far. Would recommend this monitor if your looking to jump to 1440p. I see a lot of comments complaining about the versa mount being a diamond, not square. Just make sure your monitor mount is turned to match it. It don't have to be square.
Luckily found this video at the right time. I was about to pull the trigger on a LG 27 IPS 1440 nanocell monitor and glad I didn't. I feel the Omen IPS version is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!! Just ordered mine today and hopefully getting it soon!

Since the past 6 months, I've been returning back to gaming a lot more and I've been using this Benq 27 inch 1080p 60hz monitor. Now it's starting to bottleneck the gaming experience, and this Omen 27i seems like the obvious next step to upgrade my setup with. Was wondering, is it plastic or metal construction?

Looks like a great monitor besides the terrible decision to rotate the 100mm vesa mount 45 degrees. This makes it incompatible with most monitor mounts, very poor idea whoever came up with that.
Make sure you line it up perfect- you should not have to force it. Mine went in pretty easily. Also helps to lay the monitor face down like I did in the video to install it.
@@metagamers so I hook up my laptop and change it from there? Will it stay the color I changed it to? Or will it go back to white as soon as I reconnect my Console?
Click the “Omen 27i” in the omen command center Then go into lighting and then if you want to make it color cycle. Click on animation and click Apply if you just want it One color Click static and choose your color and click apply. Hope that helped you a little bit!
@@linkslayer15 Its actually pretty genius how it's made. When you push the monitor in, it pushes down on something that allows you to easily adjust it without effort. Logically you would think you'd have to adjust it BEFORE putting the monitor on. Eventually realized I must have been overthinking it. To be fair the instructions were very vague on how to adjust it and it's not as obvious as it seems.

It doesn't come with built in speakers it has its own audio for when you plug in headphones/speakers to the audio jack in the back. Now if u mean it doesnt work with something plugged in im not sure cuz I just use my pc jack for audio not the monitor
Just got this monitor from bestbuy....so the one you got during May a month ago, so now its June the boxes = new now, wanna know whats weird?, your box says freesync and now the new boxes say G-Sync on em, Nvidia doing there dirty work like always....replacing the logo with there own bs but actually it's not g-sync its freesync still but g-sync compatible replaced with Nvidia's logo so they can increase the price...AMD needs to stop letting people walk all over em. now on HP's website they switched it all to G sync instead of freesync like it was....Nvidia must of paid em good money to replace AMD with there own brand so prob to increase the price of the monitor so HP can rack in more money lol

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately no, I do not have calibration equipment. I only loaded the color profile available via HP
Shouldn't be far off considering it uses the same nano IPS panel as the LG 27GN850, 27GL850 & Lenovo Y27q-20.

No speakers but it does include a headphone jack.

Is there no way to adjust the heighth of it. It clearly looks as if you can slide the silver bar

can this monitor downscale to 1440p while using 4k on a ps4 pro via hdmi 2.0?
PS4 pro will not support 1440 so it will see it as 1080p
Lack of hdr is disappointing
Monitor is horrible as far as response time.
There are better monitors on the market with faster response times and cheaper.
For the others following the chat please share which ones you are seeing that are cheaper and better.
