#HondaAccord - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I had one! 1.6 petrol. how many memories with this car. Vtec is vtec
Vtec is not vtec. I had a 99 civic si with dohc vtec and thats fast. I have a 98 accord like this one now and its sohc vtec is nothing.
@@user-oz9sb3kf4u the civic si is so much faster than the accord because is a different type of VTEC (dohc) and it has a different weight! Anyway my speech was to say that the vtec is a very good engine
@@user-oz9sb3kf4u I also had a civic hatchback SR (1997) and believe me the accord was nothing in comparison but anyway it has a very good engine too! Have a nice day!
the 1.6 never had vtec, but still reved up to 7k at the limiter. Very fun car indeed. I have to sell mine unfortunally due to having a new car from work, so I barely drive it anymore.
@@mariotrotta639please , can i ask you about the actual consumption of this car ?
Thanks Joe nice one, I hired one of these for an extended road trip whilst my VTI was being
serviced, lovely motor, I do like the revvy nature of those engines. Top quality oil kept clean
and it'll last forever.
I like watching pov of such old cars. Honda Accord changed few generations. It's interesting to compare it
Love that numberplate! 😻
Oh LOVE this car. Very good Joe!!!!
This car was top quality, it's still amazing
Einer der zuverlässigsten Autos die jemals gebaut wurden. Einsteigen und losfahren. Brillantes Auto.
Zmianę kierunku sygnalizujesz świetnie- ten samochód nie ma potrójnego kliku.
Genialny odcinek! Pozdro
I love Honda's cars in manual transmission. It's sheer driving pleasure experiences.
Great video as always. 😎
Mine is 2.0, 0-100 in 8-9 seconds. Vtec 💟
Nice driving over there
Thanks for sharing
Nice car & nice drive joe 😁
Aí o canal só crescendo
Great car and great video. Thank you.
My grandpa had 2000 automatic Honda Accord!
With that small sunroof they used to put just in the front 🥺
A real limousine. The quality can be felt.
Digging that wood trim OwO
Look at that wood it's superb
i had one, but it was 2.0 VTEC....ahhh is miss this car
8:14 nice
Dayum Boy that was my First car ❤️ i miss him everyday🥲
I'm sure your videos help not only me.
Nice Bro thx😊
My first car was the same but 2.0 L petrol.220 on the highway baby!!
the same, bro. Cool avatar :D
Twarde, głośne, ciasne, niewygodne, niskie, krótka skrzynia, rdzewiak ale silniczek fajnie cykał. Jeździło się przez 2 lata 6 genem. Film obejrzałem z przyjemnością👍
Got the exact same version, except it's a 4-speed automatic. Just an awesome car! So reliable and so comfortable
How is the automatic transmission reliability?
@@zerosocker pretty good, 258 000 kms on the clock and no problem
@@MetalBlindSolver I've been thinking switching from a '97 Civic (the chairs are way too thin) to an Accord. Can you travel longer distances in an Accord without feeling fatigued or having leg and back cramps? And is the suspension soft enough for your bones to not get shattered at every pothole?
@@Rutch I took my Accord on four 1000+km road trips as of now, including a 4500km road trip across Europe. On the last day returning, I drove from Prague to Dijon in a single day, 13 hours of driving and no fatigue at all. Longest drive I did in one day was a 15hr trip from Madrid (including breaks), again no physical fatigue.
The only con about owning this car is the difficulty of finding certain parts, which are no longer produced by Honda. But y'know, those things never go wrong...
@@Rutch the suspension isn't as soft as in a full-size V8 limo though, but honestly it's okay. I'd say it's the same kind of feeling as in a 3-series
Honda accords are great cars
Very good video 🚗👍😃😁
You totally checked that girl @8:17 👍🤣
Joe, kozy nadal tam śmigają samopas? Fajna miejscówa na grilla
Hmm this number plate so cool:Joe black
Great!
Kupuję w poniedziałek swoją. Niech pojeździ chociaż przez rok.
It's a nice car, no doubt.
i have so one as 2.0 )) and over 280.xxx km - cool car!
Golf Passat 2002 .2001 .2003🔥🔥💪
Nice
cool!
wish we had that body style in america
Wait where are we here.?! Lol. Cool Nissan wagon
Joe, daj Accorda 7 2.4 Executive, to je wypas. Ten tez fajny
Oh man I have a 98 from America and it looks sooooo different
And to be honest I think I might like the Euro version more
Great cars I've been in one and they are relible and great cars overall built quity is good deshin was great and great engines, those were days of good hondas not the todays one like those honda E crap, nah.
Are there any pre-MkV Ford Mondeaos you can find?
niceee
Seems to be running high rpm in comparison to the us accord, would you say the car is still quiet at speed?
yes, the car is ok in high speed - although prelifts are louder than facelifts, because gear ratio changed. It also depends on the exhaust really.
wow, i like this a lot better than the american version of this model!
Hahah my car! Got a red CG8!
Weird question but do the interiors of these cars get sticky? I'm thinking of getting one for a beater in exchange for our 2001 Citroen whose interior is sticky and falling apart.
Anyone?
No they don’t, don’t worry about it haha
@@PipeOPhile No creeks and doesnt feel as old. Feels like solidly built all around.
Thanks guys!
The cloth at the door panels will fall off as the glue is agein. The roof panel foam falls apart results in loose roof cloth. Atleast with my honda accord f18b2 .
Hey, I would love you driving a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, it would be awesome!
😍😍🙌🙌👏👏
Afuego👍
why not "spirited driving" section with this accord?
I noticed that the European version is a a lot different from the US version
The design was different. Engine wise, the US market got 4-cylinder and V6 engines with larger displacements since road tax in the US allowed for larger displacement engines to be fitted in affordable midsize family cars.
Yeah. In fact, basically every major maket got offered a slightly different variation. I think the EU spec and the JP spec look the best. Not really digging the US spec version, sorry ^^ Although I appreciate the existence of the V6 coupe, which we (Europeans) were offered as well
I have the 1.8 2002 with 260.000 Km (i guess). Last year did 229 Km/h on gps ( don't ask ). I love that chassis behavior. Just keep it above 2500/3000 rpm. Want to test mine and fill it up???? ;)
I have that 1.8 F series in my 99 accord. 230,000 miles or roughly 360,000km on the clock. Never once gave trouble. Heck the engine was never even opened because nothing ever had to be fixed in there. It is due a valve adjustment however.
As for chassis behaviour in these its on a different level. Made during hondas golden era as i call it. Mid 80s to about 04 was the pinnacle of honda in pretty much all aspects. Glad that a few folks still have interest in these workhorses
5:05 Why shifting gears up around 4-5000 RPM though - isn't 2000-2500 what you'd aim for?
Or is it for the purpose of demonstrating something?
Higher RPM = more power. Lower RPM = better gas mileage. Better to have more power when you are trying to speed up to merge onto the highway.
Świetne autko ale wolę VII generację. Wujek ma z rocznika 2005 i to naprawdę kawał porządnego wozidła.
It had parking sensors?
I'm all too familiar with this shitbox, been driving one for the better part of the last 7 years, mine's also a pre-fl silver but a 2.0 and loaded with options, it refuses to die so I refuse to replace it
Shitbox or brick shithouse, these fuckers are resilient
@@alexhickey5633 still going by the way. Havent done any repairs since that comment. Only put fuel in and drove it as much as possible. If it makes it, june this year will mark 9 years I have it

North American, Euro and Asian market Honda Accord were having different body design back then.
It's pretty weird. I have 2006 JDM civic sedan in croatia. In europe you can't see that car, cause it wasn't sold there, but in croatia, serbia and some other balkan countries the JDM version of sedan was sold too.
@@nox1cous654Maybe the JDM Accords were not sold officially in Europe, I think?
Bring a super car next time 😉😉
7:41 what is that noise? my honda has similar crack noise when im turning wheal left. Can anyone help me with this?
Honda szybsza niż wygląda
mmm rybaczowka
Szkoda Że Honda nie oferuje już Accorda W Europie
Chyba przez to ze ktoras generacje ruda zarla tak ze kola odpadaly. Amerykanie maja genialne Accordy Coupe z v6.
Very short shifting. VTEC engines are happy to be revved up to the limiter. This car can do it 2s faster no problem.
Brilliant car..I had a 2.0iES..since then I haven't driven a German car.. this 1.8 Honda has Double Wishbone suspension all round...in a car with 136bhp....🤣
I have one with 230,000 miles on the clock. Dam thing sits into corners and hugs the road better than my 2014 civic. A very under-appreciated car. At one point these were probably the best cars on the road in terms of reliability and comfort. Btw, speaking from experience. My dad owned it since new before i got it and it rarely needed repairs. I remember at least 20 of its 25 years in existance and can say without doubt its the best car that has ever been in our family. So far it has outlived a santa fe, sportage, duster, laguna, megane, v70, xc60, golf, jetta, passat, micra, corsa, ix35, touran and an a4.
These were the last of the cars from hondas golden era. Mid 80s to early 00's was hondas heyday. And if ya got one that a ricer didnt touch, the dam thing would last forever. Brilliant cars
As a German I really care for the 100-200 km/h but I understand you can't do that in the U.S.
What he’s from Poland
My car is also 1999 Honda Accord.
is that an accord? I also have a 99 and it looks very different
The USA version is more round, bigger bumpers
what about rust plz?
Test civic EK3 Please
I own one right now.
is this the EX or LX?
In Europe Accords of this generation were in ES or LS trims. Seems to be LS
How is service life? F18B2 is good engine ? Thanks..
Very good motors I have two accord's 1.8 and 2.0 but need use good quality parts.
@@DanDan-ku3yq thank you about this engine. Im from Czech, and you ? thanks.
@@cenekzach7806 Im from France. But l am not french :) I have those models from 7 years and they are still make me happy.
🤟🇯🇵
Would you recommend this as a first car?
yes 😎
From a point of view as a great car to own? Yes.
From a point of view for insurance no. These things drink fuel like nobodys business. But on top of that, these are pushing 22 to 26 years old now so definitely an older car. Some insurance groups will not insure them. Very reliable cars however and safe
HONDA VEZEL POV DRIVE I WANT TO SEE
Bez klimy to bez wyróby
1996, 1999
Are you sure this isnt a civic ? I had a 1999 accord and the interior didnt look anything like this at all
This is definitely an accord, euro one is different from the us one.
