I had the 1996 1.6 vti, 0-60 mph about 7.5 secs somewhere around 160 bhp, 8,000 rpm, and late 40s to the gallon on a run, wonderful engine, brilliant car. The granddaddy to the type R, wish I still had it.
I feel your pain as a former owner of K20. The older "B16" and "B18" engine were gems. K20 was objectively better, but the VTEC crossover and eagerness on "B" engines was something else.

Such an iconic car. These sold like crazy all around the world, and for a good reason. They were super fun to drive, reliable, practical, and very cheap to buy.
I would just love one of these. I'd keep it completely stock and drive it for 200k miles. If I get in an accident, I don't need to worry about losing tens of thousands of dollars. I won't be making car payments for 8 years. I don't need to worry about people denting and scratching my car nearly as much as I would in a 2010+ model car. This car can be described in three words: simple, affordable, and reliable.
1994 Honda accord 5 speed I bought for $1500 dollars in 2017...... Absolute best car Ive ever had and the most fun to drive. Drivng down the road, going through an intersection, green light, 35 mph.... T boned by some girl on her phone, Completely totaled my car. I miss it so much :(
I have recently acquired exactly such a car - same paint, same interior. Even the same dummy plug next to the regulation of the light heights in the center tunnel is missing :D only difference is that mine has A/C, but whatever. It's a delight to drive, I consider it a lovely example of Japanese engineering of the 80's and 90's that was done for the masses. It's great to see that there are still many people that are fond of such simple everyday cars, because truly they are still just perfect for daily use, if you're not after all the latest gimmicks, but just driving.

@@sh6997 well, there is some, its a 23 year old japanese car still :D I am lucky though that the previous owner (one, I am second) was maintaining the bodywork over the years very well, so its muuuch better than many examples out there. I have rear wheel arches already done and in perfect condition for example. There is some rust on the rear undercarriage, of course. There is a little bit peeking out from the rear doors recess - some scratch that rusted over the years, but it seems its going deeper. I was surprised to found some under perfectly looking side sill cover (plastic). So far I was thinking those were good :P and also some on the bottom of the passenger door. But really its not crazy for this year and car, I seen much worse. I had much worse rusted cars as well :D overall its a perfect example of a car that was parked in one place for its whole life - destroyed by sun on one side, and destroyed by water on the other side. but the diagnostician is also not making any remarks so I think i'm good :P another thing is last year I had a small incident with one of the front fenders attacking a Nissan XTrail passing by and i didn't really mend it so its also starting to rust :P
I like this Civic and I LOVE the 1.6 Vti with 160 CV. If you haven't tested yet, you have to, is the most similar thing to have a kit car with a mitorcycle engine. Wow....good test Joe!!!!
At 0-100 acceleration they usually switch at 7000 rpm instead of 4500 and you switched slowly !! I'm 100 km / h in 10.2 seconds! The factory value is 11 seconds !!! If you change at 2500 rpm, you can be 0-100 in 20 seconds !! :)

I just drove my buddy's D16 98 Si Straight piped DNA, intake, and other goodies... all I have to say is that I want one now. A B16 or K20 with a turbo doing ~300hp would be a perfect little go-cart of a car to have fun with
@@ondrejpop. Oh c'mon, we've had that socialist relic too in our family. It was crap :-) Understeer and oversteer, all within one corner. Constantly overheating in summer as the there were like 3 meters of piping between front radiator and rear-mounted engine. Whole "742" model lineup was flawed in so many ways. Favorit on the other hand, that was objectively decent car of its era. And in my book it had sweet handling, with great mid-corner adjustability just by throttle pedal.
I had the Hatchback Civic from this video (1.4 iS, 90 hp, EJ9) from 2006 to 2017. What a wonderful car! But my Civic was much better ofc: - red/black alcantara interior (seats, doors, shift knob) - darkened rear glasses - alloy wheels with 195/R15 tires - darkened side indicators (illegal stuff huh) - Hella LED lights on both sides of rear and front bumper - 30mm shorter Eibach springs This Civic was incredible reliable, very quick for a 90 hp car (10,8 seconds 0-100 km/h, 177 km/h top speed in 5th gear, 190 km/h in fourth gear), fuel efficient (7 liters/100 km in cities, 6 liters on country road), and looked amazingly beautiful. Together with better springs it was insanely good in curves. In fact I never used brakes in curves when I drove it in cities. And even if I have a much newer and way more powerful and quicker Civic rn which has insanely good equipment for driver's comfort, I still miss my old puristic Civic very often. FUN FACT: Unlike all modern cars this old Civic had an independent suspension on it's rear axle. That's why it felt so good in curves. Today you will find this feature only on cars above 200 hp region.
My mother had a 95, rode like it was on rails... Someone stole it, and launched into a river after they were done... I just bought her a 99lx cause I knew one day I'd find one in decent shape to give to her since she liked hers so much ... 90s civics are some of the most reliable cars ever built....
The 75 hp version will be my first car, it does what you need and you get far enough for cheap without everything falling apart if you drive it wrong by just a bit.
my second vehicle was a 02 civic ex and ive gone thru 5 vehicles since then, i now have a 2018 civic si, if you have a civic at some point in your life, 90% of the time those people will eventually get another civic.... it happened to me. love these newer civics
Because it isnt 90hp, dynoed mine stock on multiple dynos since i didnt believe it and its 90whp(wheel horsepower), so its around 105-110hp,my thought is that it was a marketing strategy for people to buy the 1.5i

U2q7 do H serii to koszt około 2 tys, do integry type r jeszcze więcej. Krótsze przełożenia wpływają też bardzo pozytywnie na dynamikę na niższych obrotach, a że Hondy niuta mają mniej niż wiertarka to taki must have xD

I talked to a lot of people who had EK or EJ civics either with D or B series and all of them were telling me that they regret selling it.

i think this specific version (1.4L) has no VTEC.

75hp has a restricted air inlet gasket replace it with the 90hp version and you will get 90hp

Ta wersje 1.6 traktował bym osobno... to już usportowiona ... nie dodostania jako bezwypadkowa... czy nie wymęczona:). 1.5 vtec ... traktuje jako cywil ... niezłymi osiągami i jednocześnie super spalanie :) 1.6 to taki type r dla 6 gen :)

Długie przełożenia skrzyni: 2.5 tys. Obrotów przy 100 km/h i 3 tys przy 120. W VII generacji jest niestety 3 tys. przy 100 km/h i ponad 3.5 tys przy 120.
