So obviously there’s a lot of hype around the new JBL Boombox 2 cause the original Boombox has been super popular for a while now… But the JBL Partybox 300 is also super popular cause its a huge bluetooth speaker with a built in light feature that actually cost the same as the Boombox 2. So lets see how the Boombox 2 stacks up against the Partybox 300 and im also going to be including the original Boombox in this video cause the original boombox might still be attractive to some people who might want to save some money.

Hey man, given how many sound comparisons you do, I think getting some binaural mics would be an amazing investment. Hearing the boombox and party box on Oluv's Gadgets channel gives off a completely different impression of these speakers. I think also some outdoor tests with binaural mics would be huge too, especially for speakers like these that will most likely be used 80% of the time outside. Also would have been nice to hear the difference between the bass button on the party box especially outside.

It's crazy , the sound is same , by the physical bass from 300 can't be beat by the boom boxes
The Speaker rekordings just have no Bass on your videos. All Speakers sound by Oluv or dxd diffrent and better. You need to change something.

@@nibbacheez5330 It's not about the headphones, I've compared different youtubers with the same headphones and the deep bass is heard very well in videos of Oluv, for example, as opposed to here. Still, useful videos.

I got the boombox 1 for 380€ like a year ago and I bought a second one recently for like 260€ so if you’re looking for one I highly recommend the older generation boombox!

I'm an audiophile and can't stand any distortion in music at any volume level. (BTW I do custom mobile audio as a side hustle but have been an audiophile my entire life). JL Audio is hands down the best when it comes to cars/boats/yachts/home theater. They don't make a bt speaker but I put my trust in my second favorite brand mobile speakers fyi the boombox and boombox 2 were designed and tuned by Harmon Kardon... take my money!
I believe that if JBL does make a new speaker protocol. They will be able to give the boombox 2 a firmware to give it that new protocol because of its 5.1 Bluetooth. And if they don’t, then they’re definitely making us buy newer ones.

@Mark Winston not true... the subwoofers on the party box line do not sound as clean and deep outdoors like the boombox 2 does. My buddy bought the partybox I bought the boombox 2 so we could see which has better bass outdoors (I listen to dubstep) and we ended up trading lol
Hey friend, you should buy a good microphone because you can't hear any difference between the sound of the speakers or low frequencies.

Guys if ur having trouble carrying around a boombox get a gear bag strap r some sort of shoulder strap to carry the boombox around helps me alot

I mean you might as well get the boombox 1, connect+ is a pro for me, since my friends all have connect+ speakers, and the xtreme 2 is connect+, while partyboost doesn't really have an equivalent.
For future proofing, partyboost doesn't make a difference, since they'll likely start releasing a new planned obsolescence ploy soon enough anyway.

Bro you need binaural microphone for recording the audio in better quality. Your explanation and comparisons are great but that does not necessarily translate the audio experience.
The sound spectrum analysis for the boombox 2 shouldn't count bc the function to link other speakers is turned on (which for whatever reason) and the volume level goes down a tad. You can see the white ring around the power and BT buttons is lit up along with the buttons indicating that function is turned on. "It just looks turned on"...no. even in a very well lit room even out in the sunlight you could tell if it's turned on or not (I own one).
Just got the boombox 2. It's nice. But I wish it had an equalizer in the app or system its self

Just want to everyone know that you can hook a jbl party box speaker to a jbl boombox all you need is a aux cord. Hook the aux cord to the back of the jbl partybox aux out and then plug it to the back of the jbl boombox but have both speakers on .
Maybe it’s time for jbl to make a 20lb portable speaker size. Would be be between the boombox and party box

You should try out the partybox 100. I heard it has nearly the same performance as the 300, and it’s cheaper and smaller. Love your vids 👍🏼
300 has much more base and is noticebly louder. From 50-75 feet ull hear the difference.

How do you feel about the Braven XXL/2? It's on sale on Amazon for $246, so essentially half of the JBL Boombox 2. I want to buy it, but not sure if I should just spend the extra money on the Boombox 2.
The boombox 2 goes way deeper than the boombox OG. And they updated it so the highs don't get so ear piercing

I bought the Partybox 300 for garden parties. I paid 370€ and it really is a monster. The bass is better than that of the Soundboks 3 (899€) but it is not as loud.

Which one is better for outdoor use
Curious what's the name of the song also I already ordered a few I got the party box 300 and a Boombox 2, and I'm planning on pairing them together for my PS4 and music software on PC and I can take the Boombox with me whenever I decide to go to the beach or camping pretty nice setup loud and not too big to carry around.
Unfortunately if you want to hook up these setups to your PS4 properly I had to order an optic Bluetooth transmitter toslink cable and the transmitter box itself with bluetooth 5.0 compatibility.
Hopefully Sony fixes this with PS5 or maybe JBL can do something to make it more compatible with game systems.
I know you can use the aux cord on the controller but I plan on using a microphone occasionally and what's the point of having Bluetooth if you're not using the Bluetooth right??

The watts a speaker outputs don't meas anything. If the sensitivity is low the watts can 1000 but it will not be loud. If you say the sensitivity is 85db and the watts are 40 you can to the math. For every time you double the watts you add 3db. Start at 1 watt and the do the math. But since we don't know the sensitivity of any of these speakers the watts are irrelevant

All this fuss about jbl ...I’ve had two of the original xtreams from back in 2015 long before all the hype now got the original boombox since 2016 when hamon kardon gave me 50% off it because the two xtreams battery’s failed after around 1 year..got about another 7 jbl Bluetooth speakers since then ..charge 3, two flip 4 and a jbl go, xtream 2 and a jbl 310 ect.

Albert the boom box 2 and boom box 1 are both still really good for indoor, enough bass to shake you. These audio comparisons are no match for the real life performance. In real life the JBL flip 5 sounds like the boom box 2 in this video
The Boombox 2 is more portable and water proof. The Partybox 100 is $150 cheaper and sounds better. Now you decide.
