I'm amazed how this has so many few views for the simple yet great video you put togheter. I just learned a lot of things I really wanted to know but couldn't find a visual example. Thank you.
I, am dieing or triying to find out to some one who made this fabulous mechanism trigger for a crossbow is there,s some one that made this trigger that can share a copy of this mechanism trigger or how much will it cost me some one out there if you can read this message i understand it has been past more then ten year,s since this mechanism trigger was on youtube and i sure liked it very much
Without drawings? 0:55 There's your 'drawing'. It's even better than a drawing in my opinion, because you actually see it moving so you know exactly how it works.
hello friend, you have the measurements of those elements, I want to send them to cut them with lazer. but they require measurements in autocad, do you have the plans?
+Dale Erwin Yes I did for my company and it works well all we had problems with was finding the appropriate size spring and the safety lock wouldn't work correctly so we had to modify it a little.
That is not a proper trigger mechanism because of the probability of accidental discharge due to the relative placements of the trigger pin and sear surfaces. While it is possible to achieve some degree of safety by undercutting the sear surfaces, that ruins trigger-pull quality. A proper mechanism would have transferred the trigger's movement to a SEPARATE sear, which in turn engages with and disengages from the bolt release. Here is a good example: th-cam.com/video/Yc5WpJNHWAk/w-d-xo.html.
idk about y'all but, i came here to see how the firing mechanism work ans see if it would be possible to make a bolt actions crossbow that holds 5 bolts before you need to reload.
I know I'm years late but I hope someone can awnser my question. Instead of having the bow at the front to stretch the elastic. Would it work if there were wheals there, and the elastic would go from the sight, around the wheels to the other side of the crossbow, so when you pull the middle back it would still stretch the elastic. Would that work?

excelent design work, simple direct AND a safety....5 stars
That is brilliant! Thank you so much for making this, just what i needed!
Great animation by the way.
Finally, I found the animation about good designed trigger to crossbow. Thx MAN. Ur best :D
I started laughing at 0:42
My sense of humor is so weird
I actually laughed too.... Wtf
Excellent! Told me exactly what I wanted to know.
Beautiful 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Simple is the best !!!
Now i learned how it’s work!!!!
nice video. keep on working. today i started my first crossbow project and your animation give me light on the trigger mechanism. thanks a lot
I composed another music, but when I upload on TH-cam, its dissapear.
Then I found this music in youtube galery, and put it in.
nice job!! nice, simple and easy to understand. thank you for going to the effort
A very nice animation, its so easy to understand, all i have to do now is to get it to fit into my crossbow!!
Great animation
this help me enough! thanks!
What it's help you for? Just asking
@@myprofilepictureisasteak7622 wow 6 years ago, i was about to create a crossbow using rubber band, never made it though
@@hanggianggono3765 this video pop on my recommendation, so i was checking the comments and get interested in yours
@@myprofilepictureisasteak7622 ah oke
Great work really infomercial
Cult member: "that's why we had to do that with casey, no..."
Gregg:
Very impressed. Nice mechanics.
Great example thank you
0:42 the music sound like:
good travel arrow!!

Simple but deadly!
Amazing
nice work!!
Thanks for posting, very informative.
Useful video
WONDERFUL
Does that yellow thing work like a safety lock or something?

Great......I waited a long time to understand trigger motion....thanks
Nice it helped me a lot
This is just what I needed.

please I want to see my child
wow very amazed👍
can i have the design please
Стопор тетиву вверх будет тянуть, не годится. Либо нужно делать щель ровно под диаметр тетивы.
thanks, now i can make a crossbow to make a crusade
Great!! :)
VERY GOOD
Thank you, great job)))
awesome, thanks
awsme
Does the mechanism deploy the safety automatically when the string is loaded?
Because on many modern crossbows it is automatically put on.
This specific one shown doesn't unfortunately
its really cool but im still gonna use a peg for mine
Realistic
thx it helps a lot.
parabéns!!!!!!!!!
의외로 간단한 원리네
그러게용.....
근데 만들기가 어렵다는...
awesome*
Nice job. What software did you use to make the animation?
It was made in Autodesk Maya.
Didn't you read the description?
He uses Autodesk Maya!
That software is over $3000!!!
he may bought it or he may cracked it!
If he's a legit student, he can get it MUCH cheaper. Also, now Autodesk "leases" software on an annual basis. Still ain't cheap, but not $3K.
hello,i liked the project crossbow 3d animation, the project could provide me with dimensions so i can build my crossbow.
is identical to the original trigger the leaf Excalibur crossbow, except for the secure lever
Thank you this was very helpfull
so,good. thank you.
Thanks this will really help with my crossbow because I'm making one
a little confusing in the start. It goes to fast there but that is probably just you 8 years ago. I did understand it tho:D
Could you export that model to a 3D Printer?
+Dale Erwin Yes I did for my company and it works well all we had problems with was finding the appropriate size spring and the safety lock wouldn't work correctly so we had to modify it a little.
Thanks I just injured myself in the ear thankgod it just a scratch
Awesome, thank you!
Gut danke
Im from indonesia ,🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Vai demorar chegar um brasileiro aqui

What does the yellow part does, if u remove the yellow, it will still work right
Jason Chrysoprase Looks like a safety mechanism.
Ohhh
yes that's just the safety
what kind of crossbow is that?
😍😘😜😛
Si
plesme#
It took you six hours to model that...
it would take me max 45 mins
perfect ! Thanks :)
very well done !!!
congratulation
thanks brooo thank you
nema ni automatsko pucanje :)
hehe, znam tek sam to poslije vidio nakon sto sam postavio animaciju, mozda je ponovo uradim ali malo detaljnije...
This is really helpful. Thank you! 😄😄😄
I take it this is a manual safety. Can you 3d render the same project with automatic safety?
I am going to use this it's really helpfull
can you show for compound crossbow and for its strings and gears and springs?
idk about y'all but, i came here to see how the firing mechanism work ans see if it would be possible to make a bolt actions crossbow that holds 5 bolts before you need to reload.

What do you need it for? I mean, this video is pretty obvious about everything.
Then send a personal message to the creator of this video asking for the dimensions.
What app did you use bro?
u did will keep going
Good job
:v
👍👍👍👍👍👍
OMG!!!thats amazing dude!!!thank u for that
Im 12 and im planning to make an crossbow lol
Ma ne sekiraj se. Dobro ti to ide. I ja se bavim sa majom a i sa strelicarstvom. Mozda to ide skupa hehe

Lepo si to uradio. Hvala na ovom videu.
very well made and amazingly helpfull!
SUPER helpfull thanks alot dude!
Awesome
Good
:-)
nema auto safety :)
Thanks this helped me fro my animation for my game
What game
GREAT work!
I am very interested in how you do the animations. I am looking for a program that I can do animation for sports. positions and such
Use Blender. It's a bit complicated to get into, but free and there are many tutorials. Once you get a hang on it, it's really, really good.
Hey Mate,do you have plans for the crossbow??This is one of the best I have seen on the net..TY
muy bueno
