As a self denying /justifying hoarder myself . I can feel your pain ... all the things you are reluctant to get rid of, have a measure of attachment, wether, monetary investment, possible profit, or just desire or passion to bring something you like back to life.... and sometimes, just a reluctance to accept we bought them in error or made a huge mistake .... I discovered its about accepting there are only so many 'man hours in a day' and only so many square meters in any given area... and choices need to be made .... pay others to help, or pick and choose the projects wisely ... when it reaches the point where you can't even do a 10 minute task, without spending 3 hours, moving stuff or looking for stuff, then there is a problem!!! good on you for biting the bullet, letting go on some dreams/ideas and moving forward ... youll be alot more productive now, i'm sure
as an additional note/tip ... I'd recommend organising your tools too ... i've found it makes working on projects alot quicker, easier and enjoyable .... like putting anything that fits in a drill driver, in one place ... so then you know, if you are looking for anything that fits in a drill/driver, its in ONE PLACE ... like driver bits, drills of all sizes, sockets, socket adapters, sanding pads, etc ,,,, if it fits on a 1/4 inch socket, put them together too ... group all things , in ONE PLACE ... this seems such obvious advice , but as someone who can sit in one place, and still misplace one tool or bit or another ... it takes practice ... at the end of every working day ,,, put all the bits back in their place
The clean up that you know you didn't want to do because you didn't want to. So I say well done. It's mental as well as physically challenging. Hopefully the views help to ease the pain 👌🦖
This is to be applauded. Is the press release Rover still going to the north of Scotland? Still sad to see George go but it looks like Table Table may be a worthy replacement
Great stuff Paul, good for your mental health to get rid of so many vehicles cluttering up the yard. It must be stressful when the landlord is on your back, but things seem beyond your control. Hopefully life will be less complicated from now on eh?😊
Great progress Paul. Lovely to see September sunshine. You'll miss those that have moved on, but we might see some of them back for a guest appearance?
An impressive result, getting shut of so many in 6 weeks👍 Unless we're extremely disciplined (boring?) people, we can all fall in to the situation you found yourself in. If we have the space we tend to want to fill it. Sometimes it takes a deadline or a kick up the arse to make us realise we're in a situation which is basically out of control & unbeknown to us is making us ill. You got a date to have it gone by & maybe a size 10 steel toe cap too, but it gave you a reality check. You'll not miss any of them in a week or so, you'll look back and be relieved you're rid of them👍
Good to see the vast improvement in the Yard, Mustard. Now you can arrive at work without any type of worry/anxiety about "Stuff" being in the way..... and potentially upsetting the Landlord 🥸. Just hope the Landlord's Investment pays off for him 💰. It'll take some getting used to coming tya nearly empty space, ect. Now focus on those bits down in the Lower Lockup, like sll those Bucket Seats,rct...............👀😦👍
I would have the Freelander Td4 of you but I can't justify the coming all the way down for it. It probably needs injectors crank case filter changed a propshaft. All fairly easy enough to do. Then it should be worth at least £1500. A lot going on Here then maybe for the best maybe not🤔
@ProjectNigel I do keep seeing boaty's ad still up 😂 hopefully no one's offered the full price on it 😬 but nope its definitely back up I just checked to make sure I hadn't got the plate wrong 😂
🎵Brrra-ba-bu-ba-bumm!🎶 😄😁😆 Brilliant! A lot of developments over the past weeks but not calling it PNHQ? That will never do! I think its more like a new version of PNHQ so how about PNHQ v2!
I think this new container park will end up locally known as Project Nigel HQ. As in ‘I’ve got myself a new storage container Jim’. ‘Have you Steve? Where is it?’ ‘It’s in that new place Jim, on that big hill next to the garage’. ‘Oh you mean Project Nigel HQ?’ ‘That’s the one Jim, where that guy with the multi coloured car who makes those videos lives. You know the one?’ ‘I do Steve. I love his videos. I like the music’. ‘Me too Jim, he’s very good’. ‘Yes. He is’.
@ProjectNigel i do believe that. Most importantly you got rid of the cars that abused your kindness and patience (I know it's not the poor car's fault) and going forward you can be more selective about what to accept or what car to acquire. You are a great MG Rover ambassador!
Dont tell me your having to move all the cars so they can build lots of ugly unafordable wendy houses? Its a disease up and down the country im afraid .😢
At least you set out to do what you wanted and sold the fleet mate. End of an era.
Yes, I am close to being able to start again

I am tyring to organise better places fir tools, rather than using them at thr moment
Great work! The yard is looking better all the time and you can focus on the jobs in hand on the fewer cars remaining.
I’m proud of you 👍
Thank you

The views would help a lot actually

A good clean up will make u feel free to do what u really want, and yes a lot ihappens in the subway😂
Like stepping over broken glass and half eaten burgers?
Great progress Paul. Lovely to see September sunshine. You'll miss those that have moved on, but we might see some of them back for a guest appearance?

I am a highly disciplined man

Removing the cars is just the start
See you next week Mustard 🚙💨...... 👀
I never do trust those sign offs 😂favourite part of this channel is how it keeps me guessing
Are you visiting? I forget who's coming.
@@ProjectNigel I'm picking "Rodney" up. He's never driven himself to London where he's moving to soon, so I'm driving him there. 😎

It could be quite a nice given some time.
What is Boaty keeping all those toilets for?
It's to help with his humour
Glad for you that things are moving looks like it's coming along nicely :) did see Lewis Hamilton back up on fb marketplace already :(
Are you sure it's not Boaty's old advert that hasn't removed?
@ProjectNigel I do keep seeing boaty's ad still up 😂 hopefully no one's offered the full price on it 😬 but nope its definitely back up I just checked to make sure I hadn't got the plate wrong 😂
1:34 I, forgot you had the Zr
I didn't for long
@ProjectNigel Twas a mere whisper of a visit before it was gone like a fox who's stolen your sandwich.

I think v.2 would have to be on different premises. This could just be considered a face-lift
A face lift, yes that's good thinking - a bit like Rover 200 to Rover 25 but with a distinct avoidance of any 'Project Drive' overtones!
Hopefully. Although that's a name change. 😆

I'd venture an uncannily accurate prediction that!
Hold on.... you had an SD1 this whole time?!?!?!
Yes
Where have you been ?
@@georgeprime2249 living a sheltered life. Like that SD1.
ah ye😎😎
how much for metro/freelander ???
The Freelander is advertised on marketplace for £650
Credit where credit is due, that's quite some progress you've made. I hope it was financially somewhat rewarding!
Thank you. I haven't made any beyond what was needed for bills, but it has been satisfying

Is this a business or a personal project, surely money isn't being made with this venture.
I lose money here, but try to make it back with TH-cam earnings
@@ProjectNigel It's entertaining, everyone loves a 90's Rover.
Whats happening to the sd1 shame its so rotton
It's gone to live in Shrewsbury, I think.
@ lol hopefully she gets restored , she was beautiful once upon atime
Dont tell me your having to move all the cars so they can build lots of ugly unafordable wendy houses? Its a disease up and down the country im afraid .😢
Nope. Containers
Everything must go, my fav manics song.
Thats a bit more palatable then 😊@ProjectNigel
Drink more real ale & buy more Rovers.
Thank God Mr mustard you are free to buy Volkswagens now 🙏
What would you recommend?
@ProjectNigel any thing but rovers please 🙏
