    I have watched numerous reviews on various UTVs as I struggle to decide which one is for me. Most reviews are done by channels such as Dirt Trax, and they all seem only interested in producing mostly favourable reviews because they depend on paid advertisements from these manufacturers. Your review is, hands down, the best, most honest, review I have seen yet! Thank-you, SIr.

    I like how the trail fits in with almost any group ride. These guys that always complain about wanting more horsepower probably forget that trail riding isn’t a drag race. It’s about exploring and squeezing between trees lol.
    I would call SXSs a car before I called it a bike.
    Great review btw. Even better than some of the professional media guys. Lots of angles, drone shots, voice overs. You do great videos.

      What a great compliment man. Thank you for taking the time to write it. Really. And i couldnt agree more about the trails and guys that always need to be a bit faster. This will crush the big “bikes” 😣 on the trails.

    Most of the fun mountain trails around me are 50”. So the choice is clear for me. It’s hilarious watching the large machines driving up and down the main dirt roads that a Honda Accord could handle just fine.

    • @AlfonsLC
      @AlfonsLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Having a 50 inch machine certainly has its advantages. I just wish they put a little more thought into the engineering to give it better ground clearance. The thing has about the same ground clearance as a Honda accord is the problem

    • @acstorm07
      @acstorm07 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlfonsLC 27” tires and Elka shocks will give you the 11” +. I think that’s a must for these 50” machines.

  • @Chuckers84
    @Chuckers84 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The reason for the low ground clearance is because it’s set low from factory to help with rollover and stability with its narrow stance with unsuspecting customers. Get your suspension tool out and adjust the ring to the specs in your owners manual and it will sit at the 11 inch. In doing so it will suck wheels in so it isn’t as wide.

    I have the rzr trail s 1000 ultimate and I absolutely love it. I may add extra speakers at the top but that’s just personal preference. Once on the trail with the outdoor noise I find myself constantly trying to turn up the volume.

    • @AlfonsLC
      @AlfonsLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a better selling machine. Therefore, their engineering time is invested in that. In the end I do think I should’ve went with this version the 60 inch 1000. I agree with you about the stereo. But for me, it also depends on where my music is sourced Apple Music is so quiet you don’t even know it’s playing. Whereas Spotify or TH-cam music is much better. For sound quality and max volume.

    Great review I believe your ground clearance is due to sag and use on your shocks you need to adjust your preload to get your ground clearance back up to 11 inches loaded its not real hard to do I am guessing the dont want to go any higher in ground clearance on a 50 in. Machine due to more tendency to tip over and safety standards they have to meet I have had 5 different polaris rzrs and cussed out their designers more than once as you found out but still go back to polaris have fun.

    My other complaint besides the low ground clearance is that it's not really 50". With (stock) tire bulge, I measure my 2021 RZR Trail Ultimate at more like 52" - 54" wide. I've actually scraped going through 50" USFS gates. I don't know why the USFS/BLM can't lighten up a little with their gate widths to 55". The 60" machines still wouldn't be able to get through, and you wouldn't have to worry about scrapes and leaving paint and parts behind....

    • @AlfonsLC
      @AlfonsLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well. I must say i never actually checked that.

    • @biknjak
      @biknjak ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AlfonsLC Not sure how EXACT that measurement was (by myself with a tape measure), but I figured the outside edge of the wheel rims were the widest points (actually the tire side walls are, but they're flexible). I'm certain it's more than 50", and although I didn't measure the USFS gates I'm equally certain they were exactly 50", or less.

    • @AlfonsLC
      @AlfonsLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      So. I will addressing this in a future video for sure. I have some ideas to make it more narrow. Or wider and higher for reasonably cheap.

    • @AlfonsLC
      @AlfonsLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am at work a night shift, taking breaks, watching videos about people that have lifted and made this wider. Thinking to myself why did I just not get the wider model from the start. I may even list mine for sale. And buy another one. I think the 50 inch model could be great, but they severely neglect the engineering inside. it is way way too low to the ground unless you cannot use a wider machine where you live I would not recommend it. To be clear I don’t hate the machine. I still like it. But yes, I recommend the 60 inch if you can

    • @frootz1013

    Great review. I have the 2022 RZR 900 Trail Premium, bought it with 24 miles on it and Im still in the break in phase (16 hours). In regards to the BREAK-IN period I wish saw your review before heading out. Ive been varying the RPMs but I did hit 7500 for a short blast. I was told in the forums just to vary the RPMs.
    Also you dont mention anything about the heat in the cab, to me its a bit excessive and I cant imagine what a hot 90+ degree day is going to feel like.

      I did skip this point for sure. My thinking is this. All SXS that i have been in. All have this problem. They all have the radiators up front. So it seems a general sxs design problem. But. Maybe it shouldve mentioned. It can suck in summer. I personally wish. The door where easier to pop off. Like a wrangler. That would be amazing.
