Im watching this while doing my indoor exercising bike . It helps pass the time and gets me ready to get out there with my RZR . I was able to keep up with you. Thanks great ride ! 👍
Right on, I love picturing you hammering the pedals watching the little RZR scramble along the trails. You should check out the video where I try to do 50mph along some sand whoops at the Oregon Dunes... just to see if you can keep up on the exercise bike! What's keeping you off the trails, too snowy where you are?
5:37 @@cingham747 I'm on the bike trying to get back in shape after back surgery. I just bought a new RZR and will get back out there. It may snow here this week though . Your video helped me get through my exercise . I might see you on the trail tomorrow with my bike that goes nowhere fast ! THANKS ! 👍 I live in Oregon but never been to the dunes.
just picked up my 2022 trail ultimate this weekend and went for a quick ride on the rail trail near the house, lots of fun and I'm excited to get it out and see what else it can do
I've been really impressed with the reliability of my RZR so far. It had a gremlin with the transmission speed sensor where it wouldn't display speed intermittently for the first couple of rides but since then it's been bulletproof. A group of us just got back from a 2 day, 370 mile (600km) ride to explore a new loop trail.
Having a passenger is one of the fun parts of riding a side x side. Maybe once all the COVID restrictions are off and we can all travel we can arrange a ride.
There are smaller machines for young riders, we had two sisters who rode a RZR 170 with our club for a number of years. They kept up really well on rides and learned how to drive in a safe supervised way. rzr.polaris.com/en-us/rzr-170/ ranger.polaris.com/en-us/ranger-150-efi/
It's as it rolled out of the showroom which is a fair amount of preload on the springs and middle of the dial adjusters. I've ridden it set like this all year but want to explore softer preload to access more of its travel. With a year experience on the machine I'm happy with how it rides and like that it's 50" wide but if you want better suspension go with the Trail S (60") or for real ride quality go to a machine with the rear trailing link suspension design which offers superior travel and comfort.
I hear ya, I wanted to go to a different trail system where it would be mostly road riding but was outvoted by my buddies. I was trying to keep out of the throttle as much as possible but on snowy trails you have to get in it or be stuck. There is a wildly divergent range of opinions on how to break in an engine. Some folks say to baby it, some say giver'... I think the most consistent advice is to vary the throttle during the initial break in period.
@@cingham747 I just picked up my trail s 900 and I have been going half throttle the whole time and you never know but I would rather be safe than sorry even though the engine may never even have engine problems
I'm impressed with the engine braking so far, I had been riding a Yamaha Grizzly 550 for 10 years which had great engine braking and this is really similar. No problems yet with it but sadly it's only been out on 3 rides so far... too busy with all sorts of stuff.
I don't know yet, still adhering (somewhat) to the break in recommendations because it's only been out on 3 rides so far. I'll post something once I've opened it up.
104kmh (65mph) on a fairly rough forest service road. May have gone a tiny bit faster but it was dancing around pretty good due to the short wheelbase. I don't have a windshield and was surprised at how much I was being buffeted by wind at that speed.
@@sethpope1552 Right on, only a few rides into my RZR experience and loving it so far. You'll have to share some videos of your riding so I can check it out.

Awesome and you have a great riding partner.
Thanks, having someone along to share the adventure with is a big part of why side x sides are so much fun.

needed something more reliable than my old sportsman 500 that's always broken so this worked perfectly

It's definitely fun and as someone who likes driving it can be the ultimate challenge of your skills.
@@cingham747 Yeah, it’s just that I’m too young, A 10 year old driving a rzr. I would maybe get in trouble

@@cingham747 oh okay! I will ask my mom, after a lot of research there like 5,000. She might buy it. In plus my birthday is coming up, so we’ll see.
Hope you're able to get one and can't wait to see some videos of you driving!
Great video. Did you have your suspension set soft or hard? Just trying to gage from how you were bouncing around if it has decent articulation

Nice video but one big mistake never go to a place like that by yourself always have somebody to go with you
Very true, there were 3 people behind me trying to keep up!
you're not supposed to be pushing it until you have refueled it about 3 times from low to full

I don’t see the point in going 100 mile hour 🤷🏻♂️
A RZR 900 definitely won't do 100 miles an hour, my machine cuts out at 65mph and that is plenty fast enough on such a short wheelbase.
