    amazing video but just a quick question though did you set your UV size's on transformation in maya ? or just filled out a 1 to 1 and then texture at 4k in substance ?

    • @polyrendr
      @polyrendr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yeah I set all of my texture sizes in Substance Painter.

    if it's okay to ask is there anyway in susbtance painter to export the material texture and not the base color ? i always get the base color texture in export,

    • @polyrendr
      @polyrendr  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I may not be understanding correctly, but the Base color is a part of the material's texture. Along with the other maps like normal, roughness, metalness, etc. You need to connect them all in your game engine or 3D software to display the objects material correctly.

    hi i have grouped the objects and made boolean. while using muticut tool can we keep both quad and trianagles or what is it ?
    thank you,

    • @polyrendr
      @polyrendr  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can, ideally you always want quads but for Booleans, attaching those vertices and creating some triangles is totally okay - especially if that object isn't going to be animated or anything.

      thanks. and also which tool do you use for a polygon? as in once you click on a polygon and select the align tool it automatically get resized. @@polyrendr

    hi ive group the cylinder for dial pad. but I'm not to rotate as shown -22:36. can anyone please explain how to do that rotation.

    • @polyrendr
      @polyrendr  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to make sure your pivot is in the center and all objects are grouped together. You can move the pivot by pressing the Insert key on your keyboard, and then clicking wherever you want to attach the pivot to. In this case the pivot was on the center vertex of that cylinder and I just rotated it around it. Hope this helps!

    Lol I feel so demotivated even after copying the whole process my model is still not perfect it is uneven from some areas and from some areas the mesh is totally green in color I think it's showing error

    • @polyrendr
      @polyrendr  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Don't feel demotivated! Just keep practicing. For the unevenness, its important to make sure the low poly blocked out objects are in a good state before adding more polys and adding more details. Its more difficult to move things around with more polys in the scene.
      To fix the green try right clicking, go all the way down to "apply existing material" and re-apply a material to it. Or you can add a new material to it as well. Something may have got messed up in one of the operations you were doing, booleans can do this. I hope it helps!
