Ripple - Grateful Dead (Cover) - Performed April 16, 2023

We had a chance to play this song at the Hearts & Horses Volunteer Appreciation Party in Loveland, Colorado on April 16, 2023. Jerry Garcia's wonderful melody seems to be pulled out of the air, and Robert Hunter's lyrics (with not much rhyme) remain evocative. Ripple appeared on the Dead's 1970 album "American Beauty" and we hope you enjoy our rendition. The Dead's songs seem to bring out a joy, and I think you can see that here. Watch the drummer singing the "da da da" at the end of the song -- all smiles.
The band (Moonlighters) features: Bryan Haynes (bass); Burke Swiger (lead guitar/harmony); Dave Merritt (drums) and Greg Thompson (rhythm/vocals).

We were offered a gig at Coachella but our bass player had a previous appointment to tan his legs. We had to decline.
