I turned on the iPhone and captured this duet from Jared and Brookelynn at the Loveland Guitar and Song Circle (Loveland, Colorado). These two are the youngest of the circle by far, and it's a treat to hear them sing relatively new music. Google "The Problem" song (written by Amanda Shires and Jason Isbell) to learn more about the tune.

"The Moonlighters" are: Bryan Haynes on bass (heard but rarely seen in this video); Burke Swiger on vocals/lead guitar; and Greg Thompson on rhythm guitar/vocals. Our intrepid drummer Dave was absent, but we persevered. It was a pleasure to play music on a lovely day at Art In The Park in Loveland, Colorado. We humbly thank the Loveland Guitar & Song Circle for the invite.

Please know that I have no gripe with Alyssa Brito. She is just a kid who loves softball and plays with a great deal of spirit. She is a great player and any coach would want her in the lineup. Wild Elderberries are: Bill Aspinwall, Guitar/Vocals; Bob Jefferies, Mandolin/Vocals; and Jack Lainson, Guitar/Harmonica/Vocals. The group's April 25, 2023 concert at Black & Blues Music & Brews in Loveland, Colo. featured all original songs in the band's expressive Americana-soaked style.

We had a chance to play this song at the Hearts & Horses Volunteer Appreciation Party in Loveland, Colorado on April 16, 2023. Jerry Garcia's wonderful melody seems to be pulled out of the air, and Robert Hunter's lyrics (with not much rhyme) remain evocative. Singer/songwriter Bill Aspinwall and harmonica magician Dick Anderson performed at Deli Works in Fort Collins in January 2023. Anderson plays with many musicians around town and Aspinwall is part of the Wild Elderberries, a local band that plays original Americana. Aspinwall's most recent solo album is called "Best of My Days" and it is available at Bandcamp.com

Sunsets Aren't Made For Whiskey is an original song by Jared Weil, a Colorado-based singer/songwriter. Weil is seen here performing the tune at Deli Works in Fort Collins, Colo. on March 16, 2023. Weil is an open mic mainstay around town and regularly plays with the Loveland Guitar and Song Circle, where he is often the youngest performer by many decades.

The amateurs of the Loveland Guitar Circle once again took the stage, and we tried our best. I put it away for a long time and eventually finished it with a different feel, touching on the theme of emerging from sadness.
