    I understand Ginny and Georgia. Georgia came from a childhood of abuse and molestation; she's always had to have her guard up and protect her kids. her killing wasn't right, but her intentions were to protect. And in season 1, ginny was very nosy and always wanted to know things that weren't her business. Georgia never wanted ginny to go through the struggle she had gone through. let alone know everything Georgia had to do to protect her and Austin. And I feel like ginny should've never sent those letters with their address to gill, because it has led to Austin shooting his dad. But I feel for ginny because her feeling so outcasted out by her friends since she's half black. it can cause emotional trauma.

    • @EvySversa
      @EvySversa 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      While I thought Ginny bratty and very self-centered, I understand where she is coming from: we know the truth, we know why Georgia did everything she did, it is made obvious to the audience, but Ginny doesn't. Ginny doesn't know Gill is abusive and violent and dangerous, she only saw the good sides and she was very young. If Georgia would have told the truth about Gill to Ginny, I believe Ginny would have never sent those letters. Ginny is often wrong, but she's a teenager who knows she doesn't know the truth. She doesn't know the truth is THAT ugly, and she's 15/16 years old, she deserves to know the truth about things. Georgia did everything she could according to the circumstances she had, and she did a good job at being a good mother. But when it comes to Ginny, none of them are perfect. I think Ginny also had to be mature before her age. Like in The Gilmore Girls, the boundaries are not set, sometimes they are friends and sometimes they are mother/daughter, but when ? You've gotta draw the boundaries. You are a mom, not a friend. Georgia is controlling. Don't get me wrong, Georgia is my favorite character (with Austin), but neither Ginny nor Georgia are blameless, and both their pain are understandable and how they both are and behave is very understandable. I mainly agree with you but some things weren't her business, but really, some things were, because it was impacting her life too. No teens like just to be everywhere and flee all the time, most teens like to settle enough to actually make friends.

    Some of y'all need therapy.Ginny has every right to feel the way she feels her mother LIED, STOLE, AND MURDERED! Y'all act like thats nothing and thats sad AF. She put men before her kids and as a result her son is angry and has violent outbursts when he isn't having selective mutism. Her daughter is self harming to feel some sense of control. If you think Georgia is a good mom or person ask yourself why you think that is? Some of y'all hate on Ginny so bad like a child is supposed to know how to deal with all that she knows and has seen. Children go No Contact for LESS than what Georgia has done her saying she did it all for her kids is the worse thing she could've said to Ginny. She is a monster don't get me wrong she is a sympathetic monster and she has reasonings for all she has done but some of them are just plain old not good enough and are nowhere near excuses.

    the reason a lot of people are divided on Georgia's character is because a lot of people don't get that there were no other options when it came to what she did to Kenny. police wouldn't be able to help unless it's a proven rape case and then he had enough money to get away with it. Had she left it would've been someone else's teenaged daughter because predators don't stop. I honestly don't care if Ginny never trusted Georgia again, it’s not that important if that means her life isn't constantly defined by the trauma of a creep that just wouldn't stop. A life time of being told is your fault for being fast or leading him on or changing your clothes so you're not wearing anything to revealing or being scared that any guy you run into will do the exact same thing. I'm not a mother but I know that if I was, I'd do the same thing but transfer custody to either my partner or my best friend.

      We are annoyed by Ginny because she constantly gives Georgia a hard time about her past which is she is too young to know about. Georgia wasn’t telling Ginny anything because she knew it would do more harm to her than good, but Ginny just wouldn’t stop pressuring her to do so. So when she eventually did find out, she started having panic attacks and was self-harming and blamed it all on her mom.

    • @ailaniidk2817
      @ailaniidk2817 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@tyresmith9833 no she literally did not Ginny started self harming when she was 12 so that was before she found out everything about her moms past so she never blamed her moms past. In fact the first time she self harms on screen is after she gets back from the basement party thing so still before she found out about Georgias past. Another time shes self harming on screen is when Ginny finds out ab her mom and dad sleeping together because as she said when her mom and dad sleep together her dad leaves for months so still not about Georgias past. Ginny even explains about her burning saying its way to concentrate her overwhelming feelings. She never blamed it on Georgia. When Georgia found out she literally asked her if it was bc of her and Ginny said “no mom its not that simple” as for the panic attack she had it like once and that was because her dad was trying to take her to see her mom after literally finding out she murdered someone 😐.Which is normal. Ofc Georgia had her reasons for murdering kenny but its still murder. Georgia even said it herself “thats not nothing” cus it really isnt. I’m sure a lot of kids would believe their mom or dad would kill for them or say they’d be glad if their mom or dad killed someone horrible to them but thats only until it actually happens no one would 100% be okay with that and even if they were nit everyone else is not everyone is the same. Murdering someone is a serious thing so to think someone close to you especially your mom is capable of that actually capable of killing someone for u is scary. Also Ginny didn’t ask to know about her mom murdering someone the private detective guy came to Ginny and basically told her her mom killed someone.

      • Being black. Yeah it’s 2024 but she still face racial discrimination, not to mention her WHITE mother doesn’t understand what a non-white woman experiences so she faces most of it alone.
      • Unstable homes. They’ve moved around a lot due to Georgia unable to stay out of trouble, either killing husbands or taking money - Ginny talks about how she doesn’t bother settling because they always have to leave anyways. That’s hard for a kid.
      • Father issues. Georgia has had many husbands and relationships that often don’t last too long. It’s damaging for children when men come in and out of their lives constantly.
      • Mental Health. Ginny struggles not being able to be open with her mom, which she tends to turn to self harm. Georgia is a dominant force and offen overshadows and belittles Ginny and her problems.
      • Having a grown child for a mother. There is no boundary between them, Georgia parents like a big sister - there is no actual parent daughter relationship there. Which Ginny struggles with because where she needs a mom she has 30 year old toddler Georgia who instead of being the bigger person stoops to her kids level. No discipline in a child can lead them to not having any sense or responsibility.

I would ACTUALLY kill for you. That's not nothing. And I may be ugly and horrible and not worth anything. Fine then I'm not worth anything. But you are. I've got a lot of demons, a lot of nightmares in my past and I had a choice, I could live there, drown it. But you have to live for the future because the past will eat you. You. You two. Georgia isn’t a good person (how could she be?) but she is a good mom. She had limited resources and made the best of them. People don’t seem to understand she was less than 18, trying to find a man to support her and Ginny. There are many instances where she starved herself for Ginny to be able to eat. Many instances where she was under extreme pressure and anxiety for financial reasons, due to abuse she experienced etc and never allowed that to affect her parenting. I don’t know many grown ups who can handle that but she, a minor, with no other experience other than abuse and neglect from her own household did it. I would also argue she was excellent in handling her break up. Most adults would have her ex paying for child support, force them even. She didn’t ask a thing because she knew that forcing Zion to do anything could potentially lead to him resenting her and affect her daughter’s relationship with him as well. Come to think about it, he definitely should have been more present, even though he would have abandoned personal aspirations and growth to be there for them. But he didn’t have to, because Georgia did it for the both of them.

      SPOILER DONT CONTINUE IF YOU DONT ACTUALLY WANNA KNOW.
      So Georgia spent her entire life being abused and ran away at 14, had ginny at 15. Before they move to the setting of the show, they lived in Texas. Georgia married Kenny. Kenny's attraction to Ginny is obvious and as she's doing yoga Geogia sees him visibly slide his hand to her thigh. Her being abused sexually as a child for years fully understands the signs of this and stops the interaction as calmly as she can. She then makes him a blue smoothie after a bit of time and it causes him to have a heart attack on the road due to something she placed in it. Kenny is dead and Ginny and Austin are safe, and since he is considerably wealthy they inherit his money. His ex wife is bitter se doesnt get any money from him and suspicious of his death, she hires a private investigator who figures out the story somewhat and tells Ginny. Thus these scenes ensue. Ginny isn't trying to kill Paul, the man in the kitchen, wth a blue smoothie. She's letting her mom know she knows, and uses her mom's real name "mary" to really hone in on all she knows.

Ginny is the one that digs up the past and forces her mom to live through it. GINNY brings up the past and chooses not move on not Georgia. She didn’t even want to tell Ginny any of those things. Ginny literally forced it out of her. Have you even watched the show like

    • @ns6095
      @ns6095 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @jennellrobinson1264 Ginny is a teenager. She is a representation of her mother. Her mother's actions show that she was living in the past. Is she growing... yes... but it's hilarious that she is growing when her daughter starts acting like the pain in the ass. You get what you put in. And Georgia knows she didn't put in enough. She's already owned up to it, so this is not an argument to be had.
