I mean tbf it probably wasn't the fact that they liked one another that was her issue. It was the fact that they lied, hid it from her, slept together, and just went around behind her back and even got Abby to hide it from her. If they had been upfront then I don't think Max would've reacted as badly. She still went overboard, but it wasn't because they "liked each other".
I felt soooo bad for Abby when she was like your fake you can see she was holding back tears and also when Abby is clearing struggling Max and Ginny make it about themselves
